I had an orange tabby boy....he was a feral who came up to the porch for food, but I was able to slowly teach him to trust me. I loved him so much, he was my baby. He crossed the rainbow bridge earlier this year...I miss him so much. His name was Blondie.
I have 2 male orange tabbies. They are brothers/litter mates. My family has raised them from kittens. They grew up with our daughters. Been in our lives for 12 years. They are the best! We love them so much.
Me too Shannon! We just adopted a medium hair domestic and he was 2 Month old when we got him, he’s 6 month now.He is like a child, learning and discovering his world. He can do tricks already! He sits, spins, fetches, and catches! He is amazing! He wasn’t our choice! We saw a grey one up for adoption and by the time we went he was gone, we where given an address to a foster mama, and there he was, all cat colors in one! He’s white, grey, black, beige, and brown 😆 he makes you feel young again!
Awe so sweet. Our cat Dash was a orange tabby. We found him when he was a kitten. He was still trying to nurse. We had him for 9 wonderful years. He had diabetes and passed away. Two days later we had to wait to get him cremated bc it was memorial weekend the same weekend he came into our life. I said my goodbyes at the SPCA and went to just look at the animals cause I was so upset. And there was a baby kitty there that looked identical to Dash. It’s like he was cloned. I cried and we brought him home. He was 10. Weeks old. He’s now 6 months old and is fixing to get fixed in a week. Jus like Dash he is the love of my life. We named him DJ for Dash Jr. He looks so much like his big brother but they have totally different personalities. He and I are best buds. Jack is so adorable glad u have a new addition to your family.
Captain Jack has beautiful markings. I just kept smiling through this whole video, you can tell that Paul and Captain Jack were meant to be together.
Our latest addition is a fluffy orange boy, Garfield, he is my daughter’s baby. Love the kitties

I love cats 🐈Orange boy kitties seem to always find their way to me. I have had 5 different oranges in my life, each different and wonderful and so special. One particular orange was truly my fuzzy soulmate, Remi. They are such wonderful companions 🧡🐾 I’m so happy I got to hear about your great kitties and meet Captain Jack. Love your new family member.
I had a red tabby Persian-mix girl for 16 years. She was a princess who ate, slept and primped. Actually she was only like one 8th Persian, but she had some throwback genes and looked just like a Dollface. Her "brother" was a huuuuge Norwegian forest cat (non-pedigree) who was a crazy evil genius. I miss living with cats, so now I live vicariously through you guys. x)
As a 'mother' to a ginger/orange tabby, I 100% agree orange babies are the best! My kitty is one of the best blessings and I adore him. He was an injured stray and I adopted him worried because my grandfather was giving the stray cats at his home to a nearby shelter. I feared he may be put down due to his injury. He has a paw that is missing his toes BUT otherwise he's a lovable and normal kitty.
Our latest addition to our family is a 4 month old little orange female kitty named Dottie. She won me over the moment I saw her much like Jack did with Paul. They add so much fun and love to the family and I am so happy to see you have an orange kitty now too. All the kitties we've seen you with so far are adorable little cuties no matter how young or old they might be too.
I have a brown, gray male tabby, my boyfriends actually allergic but he cant help himself to tell me how much he loves my tabby sniffy, i used to have an orange male tabby when I was younger. Male tabbys in general make me melt, theyre so loving and adorable 😩
We had an orange cat named sunny. He had six toes on his front feet. My mom adopted him. She was looking for a cat and he reached his paw through the cage and tapped her arm and she adopted him. We had him for over 15 years before he passed. I still think of him often. He was the best cat other than my Gacy. 😌
Captain Jack is adorable, as you can see from my picture I also have an orange cat but she is not a tabby. Honey is a rare orange female, she is now 4 years old and still fairly small because she was the runt but I would not be without my clever little life saver. Honey has saved my life on several occasions, she wakes me up when my heart rate goes haywire by gently digging her claws into my face or chest which then gives me time to get my meds that can stop either a heart attack or a stroke. She really is amazing.
Captain Jack is just so very adorable, I'm already in love. I remember Simon meowing when he was searching for little brother Jack. So glad they are such a great team.
On June I adopted a ginger tabby cat, his name is Aslan. When I met him he was three months old, had a huge ear infection and was severely underweight. Despite that, he was so loving and we bonded immediately. Now he is a healthy chubby boy that fills my heart with joy. I’m following Shannon’s footsteps.... I will proudly become a crazy cat lady.
I have a rescue orange tabby that’s about 2 years old now. I found him when he was just a couple weeks old. He loves to play and he’s very unique. He can catch toys and fetch. He’s extremely entertaining. He’s my buddy for sure! Wish I could include a pic!

Thank you for sharing this story. At 15lbs already, he is going to be a big boy. My rescue topped out at 20 lbs and there is nothing better than a sweet, loving, giant kittie.
I love Captain Jack's name and pics💖...I had an orange tabby named Shrimp...I found him at a beach in Florida and he was tiny like a lil orange shrimp...Orange tabbies truly are great pets💖💖💖

We have 4 cats and one of them is an orange tabby named Butterscotch. He's very energetic, loves to play fetch with his toy mice, but he also likes to get into trouble like eating through a loaf of bread we left on the counter or stealing a bagel. We ended up having to buy a breadbox because of him lol. He's super sweet though and you can hold him anyway you want and he completely trusts you. Luckily none of our cats have tried to climb our Christmas tree, but they do bat at the ornaments on the bottom of the tree so we had to start putting those a bit higher. 3 of our cats we adopted all at once as kittens from our local humane society and we were going to stick with just the 3 until some kittens showed up in our backyard. 2 we found homes for, the mom we TNRed and she visits for food about once a day, and the third kitten we kept. We're definitely not going over 4 cats though, especially since 4 pets is the legal limit here lol.
When my kitty Chico died i cried like a baby too,It is awful to lose a pet,i had him for 18 years ,its very painful when they die, Jack is beautiful ,thank you for showing him guys 😘
I wish I lived by you two. I would watch your kitties for you. I kitty sit for my neighbors all the time when they go on vacations. In fact my neighbor thinks I should start my own animal sitting business.
As a kid I had 3 orange tabby cats 🐈 Mumpuss (g), Sharkie (g) and Tiger (m). They were lovely friendly cats.
Awwww Captain Jack is adorable..he reminds me of an orange cat I had years ago named Winkie..and like Shannon I want to be a cat lady but the apartment I live in now is only big enough for one cat..but I'll be moving sometime next year out west to a larger house so I can get a kitty brother or sister for my cat Misha(she's the one in my profile pic)

I work for a no kill animal shelter. I had a orange kitty named Tigger also. He died when he was 15 but now I have another orange tabby named Monty. You did a great thing adopting all you cats.

Aww so sweet. We have a orange tabby cat that’s female and we also have a orange and white kitty who’s male. Both of our cats came from safe haven for cats here in Raleigh NC. I live it Wake forest. Captain Jack is so cute.
We just adopted a black kitty with green eyes on September 13 which was a Friday lol and our Pitt bull mix is in love with this baby kitten and we named her Luna ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have 4 cats and their personalities are all so different. One is a cuddler, one is a talker, one is a playful silly goof, and the last is an observer. All my cats have been feral kitten rescues.

Years ago I too wanted an orange cat. I finally got one and that cat peed on everything. He even once peed on top of my microwave-ha. But I still loved him, I just followed him around all time to catch him before he could do anything.
I got my orange boy 3 years ago. And When I got him he was only a 3 week old baby kitten with A LOT OF PERSONALITY. His nickname he also goes by is “Mr. Trouble” but his true name is Chase Elliott. He got the name Chase because of chasing after the dogs

My mom and I once drove 100 miles to adopt a cat from a PetSmart adoption event. My dad spotted her online and it was love at first sight for Mom, next thing you know we’re driving up i5 in the pouring rain to see if her personality was as sweet as her face, and she’s been Mom’s baby ever since.

In my teen years we had an Orange tabby male named Heathcliff, he visited our elderly neighbor daily she even bought chicken livers to make him. She would even call us if he didn't stop by her to visit.
Orange Male tabby are the best! Mine is currently pacing back and forth in my lap, and rubbing his face on my phone. (Although my husband is kitkats person). Also I agree about the 3 cat thing. Shannon I think we need to convince our husbands to let us round out the number with a 4th cat😂😂😂

Can I make a little suggestion? I have been studying to be a veterinary assistant, and thus I have learnt quite a lot about animals and even did a course specifically on cats. The way Paul held the cat, although not wrong, or bad in any way whatsoever, so it is no criticism at all! They are more likely to wriggle about an awful lot because a lot of cats just aren't as fond of being held.
There are a few other ways to hold a cat that is wriggly, so that they are less likely to wriggle about. If you check out Cat behaviourist Jackson Galaxy, he has some info on the best way to hold a wriggly cat to stop them squirming 😇 It is better for me to recommend watching him, than to explain it . because if you see it, you can get it completely right 😇

Awww. 😍 He looks like my kitty I had when I was a kid. He was one of the best cats I've had.
We have a beautiful big orange boy who weighs around 25 lbs. His full name is Sir Pumpkin Pie ala Mode. He is my son's therapy animal. My son is bi polar manic depressive and he has episodes where he gets upset and cries. Pumpkin comes and sits on his lap and sings to him and calms him down. Also when my son gets sick he sits with him like a little nurse. Our house used to be the crazy cat house, at one time we had 9, several of whom were old and unwanted and we made sure they knew they were loved for the last days of their lives.
My 5y/o is a ginger cat fanatic...I'm a black cat person, but we just love cats fullstop. Hubby (daddy) gets ganged up on a lot.🤣

I have a lot of cats :) some of them are ones that were stray in our neighborhood that we rescued. We have 23 altogether and 5 of them are male orange tabbies. They are my favorite type of cat as well. 2 of them are twin babies their names are booga and simba they are bout 4 months old) they were stuck under a trailer near us that caught on fire. The firefighters pulled them and three others out and they were covered with soot I got them all cleaned up and luckily they had no issues from it. They are the sweetest we call them double trouble cause they always work as a team to try to.get into things they shouldnt lol

9:52 I'm like that with Dogs. I want all the toy poodles. We currently have 3 adult toy poodles, 3 puppies (one of the adults is the mum) plus a jack russel and a malteseXshi-tzu. If I could, I would keep all the pups as well. But Hubby is the practical 'can we afford to feed them, you already have 4 dogs that need regular grooming, our bed won't fit any more dogs (all but the jack russel sleep with us)...'
He's right, of course, but I still want the babies to stay! lol If I had a large property I would have so many dogs...

I completely understand that Paul and Shannon because I’ve got five cats and I’ve lost three cats and just my dog buddy in 2017 and early this morning my beloved dog Beagle (he was also a pure bread beagle hound ) ✝️ crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge to heaven and we all cried and he is buried in our back yard so I completely understand
