So pretty! I love playing around with different braids. I think even if someone has flyaways and layers sticking out, it would make it more casual boho and just as pretty.
I love this, I do styles like this one very often, with different braids and different combinations/ different number of braids. I am wearing one with fishtails today! Very pretty as always Siobhan!
Gel can work sure! I don't use it as much because its a little more sticky and sometimes it doesn't work as well on my fine hair. I prefer the wax/pomade because its not as sticky, but still stiff enough to hold my hair together. And yep comes out no problem, with a little shampoo or even a good brushing!
I just love all your hair tutorials! I have a question though - is there an alternative to the hair pomade you often use? can hair gel give the same effect? my hair is straight, but when I braid it, a bunch of little hairs stick out, and I haven't seen any hair pomade where I live... also, how hard is it to wash the pomade off?
When you braid your hair and sort of randomly pin it up, it ends up wonderful.. when I make braids and randomly pin them up, it's a disaster:( anyways, this hairdo is beautiful, I love it!

Thank you! I've been growing it out for a few years now! It's taking so long, lol!
I agree! I think this is definitely one of those styles where "polished" isn't necessarily perfect!

Yes it is :)
Check out Torrinpaige's channel. She has a few really clear tutorial guides there on the french braid that you may find helpful!
Just make a few loose braids then, and try twisting them together!
