  • Introducing the Sauté and Soup Soup Maker from Morphy Richards, the fuss-free way to make delicious soup, just the way you like it. In as little as 21 minutes, you can be sitting down with a bowl of fresh, homemade and nutritious soup. Unlike shop-bought soup, this soup will be made to your own personal taste and consistency.
    Featuring a sauté function you can add additional flavour to your soup by sautéing your onions/bacon pieces or vegetables in the same vessel that your soup is cooked in which reduces your washing up too. You can even make croutons in your soup maker.
    The Sauté and Soup Soup Maker is designed to be quick and easy to use. Firstly prepare your ingredients; if you wish to sauté any ingredients place them in the jug first and use the sauté function to fry off the ingredients. Then, simply add your remaining ingredients to the soup maker and select either the Smooth or Chunky cooking setting and leave the soup maker to cook away. The Smooth programme blends and gently cooks soup in just 21 minutes, while the Chunky program cooks wholesome soup with a thicker consistency in 28 minutes. If your soup is a little too chunky for your liking, just press the Blend button until the texture of the soup is to your taste.
    The soup maker also features a pause function which allows you to remove the lid part way through the cooking cycle, add herbs, spices or seasoning and when you reapply the lid the program will remember the time that is left and finish the cooking cycle. This soup maker even comes with an additional juice function, so you can create delicious, healthy smoothies and juice drinks too.
    The easy to use control panel features an LED countdown display that shows exactly how long your soup has left to cook while you just sit back and let your soup maker do the hard work for you.
    The Sauté and Soup Soup Maker also features an easy clean non-stick coating making cleaning a breeze. After you’ve enjoyed your meal, just give the jug a quick rinse under the tap, wipe it with a soapy sponge and your soup maker is ready for next time.
    Seventeen recipes are included in the instruction booklet from rich hearty soups to refreshing milkshakes and smoothies. To get you started choose from; bacon and lentil soup, Italian tomato soup and pea and ham soup or a fresh strawberry and pineapple smoothie. With a large 1.6 litre capacity the Saute and Soup Maker can make up to four servings in one go.

    I don't have this model, but I love my soup maker. I used to buy a bag of diced mixed veg on the way home from work. Put water in the jug with seasoning, chuck veg in the soup maker, stick kettle on, put feet up with a cuppa and relax for 10/15 minutes until my soup was ready and cooled enough to tuck into. Cant cook meat in mine, so if I have any left over cooked from another meal, I chop it finely and chuck it in with the veggies, but I'm usually happy with just veg.

    We have had one for years, "mostly stored in loft unused" but now trying to use it. I know some people complain that food can get burnt on the bottom , but we have never had that problem. What we do have is steam getting into the top and the unit then trips out the electrics in the house! Done it about 5 times last week before I could work out what was causing it. The top of the soup maker does not have a good seal, in fact appears to be designed to allow the steam out all the way around. So when cold it's electrically safe, but as the steam gets into the power connector on the lid it slowly becomes live, and this trips out the earth leakage in the house. On the test bench in the workshop the outer metal of the soup maker started at 2 volts ac when cold and reached 90 volts after running for 20 minutes. Don't say the lid was not on, as we have now very carefully tested this and it just BAD design.

    are you for real.... ? pan, blender, microwave? standing over pan ....keeping an eye on it, stirring it after blending it, washing up the blender washing up the pan. This makes sense to chuck it all in and wait for the beep - eat the soup and wash out ? Chuck it on 6 am (whenever) and take in a flask to work and snaffle when get a break no re-heat required.
    Just reserved click and collect for £39 - i'm in......

    I only have a Morphy Richard soup maker without the saute button. Can you tell me how to make Leek & Potato soup for the CHUNKY setting please. I made it today and it was just watery and the potatoes were not cooked at all and this was made on the CHUNKY setting. What have I done wrong please? I used frozen leeks and small chopped up raw potatoes with their skins on xx

    • @apAvocado
      @apAvocado 4 роки тому +2

      I would thinly slice the leeks and potatoes; this way, they'll cook better. Also, add hot water to the soup maker instead of cold temperature water.

    Why not simply select the "smooth" setting??

    I’ve got a soup maker. It’s called a saucepan. I also have a blender, which I can use for other stuff than soup making. ALSO this product didn’t even sauté the ingredients. Due to there being insufficient room in the bottom of the ‘product’, at best it warmed up the ingredients. Note that nothing in there took on any colour. I could make this soup ten times better without the soup maker. Effort? Not really. Bit of stiring occasionally. Transferring to blender. Done. AND both saucepan and blender jug go into the dishwasher afterwards. More hygienic than wiping out with a paper towel(!)

    well you have to chop everything before, and 20 minutes not enough to cook vegies completely, also chicken needs to be precooked, because program time is fixed not flexible

    • @LoveYourMorphyUK
      @LoveYourMorphyUK  3 роки тому

      Hi, you have to cook meat as raw is not able to be added. You do have to prep the veg before putting it in the soup maker, if they are not cooked enough I would chop them smaller next time as could be too big. Ashley

    • @gnostie
      @gnostie 8 років тому

      Convenience. You might take your saucepan and blender to the office, but do you have a hob there? With this gadget, you can make the soup A-Z.

      Yeah.if your able or want to make soup in a 20 or 40 minute break. Maybe if I'm lucky and get a full hour.
      Simpler to just use the saucepan and blender. Make the soup night before work and then heat it up on your break.
