My daughter has autism the doctors said she wasn't going to live it's a miracle that she's alive plus that she had severe seizures when she was little and she had severe lung, ear issues it's just such a blessing that she's here with me right now.
Love this!. I think it's so good to have families such as yours and the Maas family because even though there are more and more organizations dedicated towards autism there is nothing like seeing it firsthand from a family perspective. It really brings a different reality to the public.
Look at how far u guys have come. From 250 subs when this video was made to over 25,000 now. That's huge. And it's not only about how many people you're reaching but how u are impacting the people u reach.
My cheeks hurt from laughing with you and Asa laughing! I love that you all had the chance to meet and hang out! Keep on recording, vlogging! you can do this! you are making a difference!
You guys are great people. I honestly love my fix on just seeing great people. So missing in the world. You are truly blessed. Truly humbled to see your friendship.
#weefam1k shared this video on Facebook! I love this video because there are so many great moments getting to know your family and your passion for spreading awareness and educating people about awareness.
I loved that you guys got to meet ❤️❤️ ... omg I laughed so hard .. but wished I could have seen the whole coffee chat with you and Asa uncut ... 😂😂 you guys are hysterical together ... and David your laugh is extremely contagious 😂
This is one of my fav videos !! I like the interactions and the girls the awesome vids and pics of you all and the coffee time I was smiling so proud to be watching and be a fan be apart of this Wee family great having you visit :) with Abby and her family :)
So many happy hand flaps for this vlog! I loved your editing, David. I also relate to the not being a very good talker, and feeling awkward in front of a camera. Also watching you two dudes giggle at the end was one of the best parts of my day. 😂
My family is from Minnesota, and I was born and raised in Jacksonville. Go Jags and go Vikings! Subscribed to your channel today, started watching Fathering Autism a few months ago (also subscribed)...I dont have any people with autism in my life, but I have a love of children with special needs and you guys are teaching me so much! I appreciate both of your families! Love to you!
David I have some social awkwardness also and my son is non verbal autistic also and I know the feeling! But we both know it’s all about our kiddos and who cares what people think we In our hearts know who we are and we’re good people and are doing the best we can for our families. Love you guys your a huge great impact for the ASD community and on so many lives! Thanks for what you do and keep on keepin on brother❤️ thank you 🤘🏻😊
The Wee Familyyw and thanks for taking time to reply to me it means a lot! Hope you guys have a really good day. This quarantine is working on us and our son lol he misses his friends at school😢😊 see ya!
I love David's laugh!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💓 His got such a brilliant one! 😊 I love how the two families hit it off right away! 💕 Can so tell if you guys had being neighbours you would've being good ones, as you're already such great friends 😊 I found you guys through FatheringAutism, you are another wonderful family :)💗 Wish my Mum had those sort of friendships when I was growing up. 💖 I was diagnosed on the spectrum in the 90's, back then it was a very ery isolated incident, so she never could find any like- minded friends, other people she could relate to that had kids with disabilities as well unfortunately ❤💙💜 xo
They are great people. The internet really changed a lot I feel like. It allows autism parents to connect with people who understand or have similar situations that they may not encounter in real life. It’s also much easier to find the time to socialize online rather than meeting up because not everyone has means for respite or can take their kids out to a variety of places. I wish your mom had that when you were growing up!
The Wee Family that's a good way to look at it, and thank you :)💓 The Internet has really taken communication and social interaction to a whole other level I agree 💗💗 It is super awesome that you and the Maass's really hit it off 😊, from what I've seen they're real wholesome people, my favourite kind, and you guys are pretty awesome too=) The Internet has being the best outlet for me too, as what else made my diagnosis an isolated incident, is I grew up in a small town, so was especially difficult for my mum, dad too 💕💕 Through the Internet I've being able to spread awareness about my Atypical Autism (PDD- NOS), atypical autism is the new diagnosis now, compared to the 90's:) Also learn much more about my condition, without the Internet I wouldn't of got the kind of clarity I've gained throughout the last several months now☺ I also really appreciate hearing things from the parents perspectives, as I learned a lot from my mum too, when I were old enough to understand, and hearing how each child/ and adult varies from one person to the next is super interesting. Hence why it's called a spectrum, I really appreciate the beauty of how each child/ adult shines, the unique qualities that make them who they are and beautiful💖 I'm incredibly passionate about more acceptance/ awareness in the world, and really like parents sharing their experiences, and making educational, heart- warming memories to show, and share how beautiful each and every child is, that right there it just warms my heart ❤💙💜
I’m sure it was very comforting to learn more about yourself as well so that you can better understand what’s going on with yourself as well. Yes, all are different even with some similarities and that’s what makes it so amazing!
You and Assa are so alike you have similar Manarisoms and enjoy the same fun, your girls are both awesome love to watch both your channels having fun with you all.💙💙🙏🙏😘😘🇬🇧xx I'm from England
I actually found u guys from Fathering Autism. It's cool to see u guys all together. Now sometimes I have to choose which one of your vlogs to watch because I only have time to watch one or two a day n since I've already watched hundreds of Fathering Autism vlogs I usually pick the Wee family now lately because I haven't seen nearly as many of theirs n I just love Braylee because she reminds me so much of my daughter n she's so cute n sweet. But with vlogs like this I don't have to choose.
I'm glad I found this channel after recently finding Asa's channel 😊 I homeschool my 5 & a half year old daughter & I recently discovered she has over-sensory-processing issues, she's not a bad kid! lol These channels helped me understand how to be a better parent to my daughter 💕 Thanks for doing this and keep it up, and ur so funny!
Is anything normal in the US? 😉 It's more that, if you are travelling and you don't have your swimsuit with you, you don't let that stop you. They didn't actually full-on swim; they were just wading.
Could you please tell me what the song at the very end of the vlog is called? My ASDer happy stimmed like crazy when it came on so i was hoping to find the whole song x
just wondering, do you have tornado sirens? if that is true, how does she react to them? Sorry if this is a weird question. this is part of a theory I am writing on the reaction to certain frequencies.
We do have tornado sirens here. Much more frequently than we used to in Colorado. But she doesn’t seem to notice them. We are typically indoors when they go off so they aren’t very loud.
@@TheWeeFamily Interesting. What town is that, because I am trying to figure out which frequencies bother people with autism. I have found higher frequencies are way more bothersome. I am wondering what town, because I can look at my siren map (yeah I know, autism brings you down into the deepest parts of an interest), so I can figure out if it may be a lower frequency. That would be interesting. What would you say your distance is from one, because I know that also higher frequencies do not travel as far, so if you live further away, and she hears them through walls, it may block the offensive frequencies.
@@delta_5088 I don't think it's the same for everybody. Our tornado warning where I live is not exactly a siren, and it's not high pitched. I think it's about a D4, possibly a C4. I notice it because we live about 4 blocks from where it originates. The recorded message after it that says "this is just a test," which is a man's mid-range voice, is far more annoying to me because I somehow always feel I have to stop and listen when someone is speaking, even if it's a recording. For me, what's distressing is sounds that contain distortion; if the siren has tones that are dissonant and grating (which they often do, because you're SUPPOSED to be aware of them,) that upsets me. So does being in a room where sounds bounce off solid surfaces and create a kind of feedback, like being at an indoor pool. I can't stand indoor pools....
That was great. My face hurt from laughing 😂What a find day!
That happens when I go to work. I am a disability carer. I say "Stop, my cheeks hurt from laughing". 😆

It was a wig connected to a jaguars headband 😂
Your editing is really improving! Some phenomenal work here.
Omg what a crack up. It’s so nice just to see you enjoying each other’s company. I love it when people leave their bloopers in 🤣
