Very disappointed with the venue. A sandtrap in the drive landing area? That literally took the win from Cassandra. This is not how you should be attracting viewers.

Horrible coverage. Need to show ALL balls that hit the grid. Don’t really care to watch them re-tee when a ball is in play. Like the tracker but as soon as it is determined it is in the grid the camera needs to show the ball hitting and rolling.

WOW!!!! everytime i watch these as of late i think it just cant get any worse of a venue but them BOOOMMM golf channel does it again. What a joke. Bunker in the middle of the fairway for the ladies. The grid appears to be on an angle where a fade is almost necessary. then the format. OMG the format it took 3 rounds for me to figure out WTF was going on (it was probably explained in the beginning but who knew they were gonna butcher the sport) This on off move to the other tee move back hit 2 do jumping jacks spin around and wave to the crowd WTF happened!!!! what happened to the higher seed picking where he wants to hit from and just going 8V8 and let it all hang out. this is honestly pathetic who thinks this is a good idea? i competed back in 2012-2014 and it was fun back in the day (first 2 years were before the golf channel bought it out and fucked it up) and the grids were all good they were well maintained the grids for qualifying events in michigan and PA were better than this shithole. I cant believe what they turned this into it is honestly hard to watch anymore. Shame on the golf channel Mesquite is still the best grid ever made and should be one of a few places these events should ever be held!

Cannot believe “World Ranked” long drive players are hitting the ball so far off the grid. Does not look like any skill just “luck”. Should be called the “Grip it and Rip it” tour. Definitely not long drive.
Anyone who enters is "World Ranked" its not like there are a million competitors around the world
I fully understand they all have skills but the new setup is horrible and fully inappropriate. WLD needs to keep it on the normal grid. So unprofessional when the announcers were laughing about potential property damage of private property. Pretty sure all the houses have insurance for the golf course but still not a good look for the WLD when it was just grip it and rip it and hope.

i love long drive competition. Just not a fan of the big steps. literally does nothing to help. I know its his style but I bet if he stops doing that. His shot would improve so much.
This venue was horrible
The grid was horrible if you did not know how to hit the grid 😂😂 Long drive should relate to Golf. The slasher have killed the sport. Where in golf do you have an 80 yard wide Fairway? If you can't hit a fairway what's the point? Learn to hit a freaking golf shot. Maybe then you can play golf. End of story. 👊🤨
By the way. Jeff Farly. You are the man. You were hitting bombs with me back in the day. And you're trying to save the Sport through Houlding events. At first class venues. This is what the Sport needs actual golf holes to hit on. On top level golf courses. Not horse polo fields, 80 yards wide. Oh, by the way, Justin WON on a polo field last year to start off the year as well. This is night and day better Hats off to Sea Cliff. Always a great track . Super attitude of gratitude, Jeff Can't thank you enough.
You definitely see the more talented long driver win on a grid like this. You have to be able to hit all kinds of different shots in golf and long drive is no different. Justin is exactly correct when he says its a fine line between speed and control. If it was only speed you might as well just do the contests on hitting machines. There is so much more to long drive than just speed!
Boring men's event. Weather, camera misses on long ones...mistakes by announcers...other than that I love the anticipation of this sport.

100% guarantee. you don't play golf. The golfing viewing audience used to compose 80% of total views. All we used to hit on were golf holes 20 years ago. It actually takes skill to hit a ball on a golf ball hole and miss a bunker. If you are eliminating the golfing viewing audience because you're hitting on a grid like Mesquite. And you're slashing away. A huge component of skill is taken away . The golfing viewing audience that used that to watch simply does not wanna watch the clown show of slashers. Long Drive needs to bring back the golfing, viewing audience and the skill set we had 20 years ago. When tour players used to actually watch. And even participate. Do not get me wrong. Kyle Berkshire is a phenom. But you have to hit the grid, He can I watched him do it and play golf on UA-cam and the kid is good. Probably one of the best ever. The higher your ball speed the harder it is to hit the grid. His is the highest.

Terrible course choice, hard to watch
"The Fans" literally everyone there is a competitor or a relative, watching this shit live is beyond boring. Watching 12 balls hit and 1 goes in is not a fun time. Having a sand trap for the women just shows how mickey mouse this sport still is.
Pickleball Golf. Take out the need to move anywhere because you are too lazy. Being accurate is also optional. I bet pro golfers hate this, even find it offensive, especially that Holton guy jumping around like a drunk pony.
