  • Couple of pulls with the new resonator delete on. I reconnected the valve in the exhaust because the resonator delete does increase the volume quite abit so it’s handy to be able to shut it off from time to time.

    Best part about the resonator delete is the gurgles and burbles at low rpms. Sounds lovely.
    And then the bangs are even louder at high rpms, giving you best of both worlds, best exhaust upgrade there is I think.

    Hello i30n Mate ✌🏻
    Did you have and engine light and is that the resonated de-fat or straight ?
    Thx mate ✌🏻

      Hey friend 👋🏼 It’s a stock exhaust with a resonator delete only, stock everything else including the CAT. Note this is a NON GPF car so instead of a GPF it has a resonator. No engine light on. Link to the resonator is in the description 👍🏼👍🏼👌🏼

    I have question does it get raspy on the high rpms??

    • @ObsessedN
      @ObsessedN  2 роки тому

      It does accentuate the lows and the highs but I wouldn’t say raspy (bee in a tin can) type sound no. It just dials the noise up to about 14. Videos do it no justice, honestly you won’t regret it if your thinking of getting one, plus you can still close the valve and use it quietly

    on the verge of buying an i30n, would you recommend it?

    • @ObsessedN
      @ObsessedN  2 роки тому +2

      Highly! You wouldn’t regret it, one of the most fun hot hatches on the market. Once you’ve prepared yourself for average MPG’s of around 26 there’s really nothing else to consider other than Fastback or Hatchback

      @@ObsessedN only real problem i guess that I might run into is I'm not that great at driving manual, I know the basics but that's it, still worth or no?

    • @ObsessedN

      Um, well it does have Rev matching which will make it a smoother transition through gears and it has anti stall function when pulling away from a standstill. Alternatively if funds permit you could look at the new i30N’s which can be specced with a DCT (Auto) gearbox

      @@ObsessedN was mainly looking at a 2018 or 2019 one to be honest, the DCT is out of my price range completely, and 26 mpg would be an improvement compared to my current car lol

      @@cooking843 im getting a dct hatch in december. with it you get slightly better economy too. but obviously if its not in your price range the manual is still just as fun and probably more engaging. ive opted for the dct because you get the best of both worlds.

    Not sure if I should remove the performance resonator on mine i30N and get in trouble with the German Tuner Police.

    • @ObsessedN
      @ObsessedN  4 місяці тому

      I would say definitely yes although I’m not familiar with your laws. Here in the UK it is legal to remove the resonator

      @@ObsessedN Okay I believe its not here in Germany.
      So its sad that I cant make such change.
      As well as police roaming around cities looking for "Oddly tuned cars" that they specifically target.
      But however it is legal to tune a car as long as its reported.
      Meaning I can tune my car with a more powerful Turbo,Better intake system and a Stage 3-5 that can be done with 12k
      But removing a performance resonator is out of question,as its too loud for the people.
      Still sick ride my dude,my i30N is in Performance Blue.

    • @ObsessedN
      @ObsessedN  4 місяці тому

      I would say you probably have a much larger tuning scene over in Germany as opposed to here in the UK which is why they probably keep a closer eye on it maybe. Definitely a shame though as it makes a huge difference to the sound! Thank you, I love mine. I don’t use it too much, just sits in the garage all clean waiting for summer 😁

      @@ObsessedN Yea you can pretty much expect lots from the Tuning community here in Germany.
      As well as been part of the community over the forums at N-cars/net where all Hyundai N like people are together.
      Since I have my i30N almost half a year and more,can say that there is nothing more I would wish for.
      Fun,Fast,Agile,Practical,Old School meet New School.
      I love my i30N 2020 and don't think it needs more Power upgrades,rather just appearance upgrades.
      And even if I need some changes to the exhaust system,we got Remus here in Germany.
      Akrapovič is nice,but not all exhaust systems fit for everyone's taste.

      @@neromastic4512 But Remus is with TUV, isn't he? But probably only the rear shock absorber. Akrapovic has it with TUV. I think.
