    In the video you are explaining the floor plan - we need to know the wall area details are working perfectly including ceiling level and side bends.

      Hi! Unfortunately, in the current version of magicplan it is not possible to add sloped ceilings. You can only add a flat roof as an extra floor and you can also indicate the different elevations within a room with an annotation(tap on Insert >Object >Annotations >Elevation. Tap on the Edit option of the object and insert the elevation). However, our developers are actively working on this feature. Other than that, you can find all the Statistics (with walls, without walls, openings etc.) for your project in the info section at the project level (the I near the project name basically) - If you need more info feel free to reach out at support@magicplan.app 🙂 Silvia

    Lidar detection is IDENTICAL to Polycam. Has there been any partnership at all?
    Anyway, beyond the fact that indeed the accuracy is getting really good, my problems are two:
    1) why is it that if I export the file created with the lidar scan, the measurements are retained, whereas if I export the hand-created project, the measurements do not actually match the ones entered? (A 4-meter wall becomes a 3.999. meter wall or so) If you are working in 3D software it is virtually impossible to work with figures like that.
    2) Why is it that if in the lidar survey there are doors, windows and furniture, then in the obj file there are no furniture, windows and doors, only holes? (and even in this case by the way, the holes are not even between the inner and outer wall, i.e. the inner hole is smaller, while the outer hole is larger, making it impossible to close the hole properly)

      Hi again Matteo, 😊 we already talked offline, but I will write an answer also here, just in case another user has the same question >> When several rooms are joined together, there may be minimal differences in certain circumstances. Hopefully, this will be improved throughout the year. Silvia

    Cool. Now add a stairwell. :-)

      This video is not about the stairs. 😅 But yes, they could be added afterward to the scanned room, as a regular object, by tapping on Insert > Object > Structural > Stairs. Silvia from magicplan

    Which bluetooth laser were you using for this video?

      @magicplan  2 місяці тому +1

      Hi, the laser that Ben is using is a Leica Disto D2. You can use any compatible laser though, you find all the models listed at this link >> help.magicplan.app/laser-distance-meters 🙂 Silvia

    I’ve tried on and off with magicplan for about 3 years and it’s always the same thing. Any form of slant, steps up out of rooms into other rooms, split ceiling levels etc just does not translate… I want to see a video of someone using it to do not just one, but several complex rooms and floors, like in an old building that is not perfectly angular.

      What about this recent video ua-cam.com/video/_oYszxn13AY/v-deo.html ? 😊 The apartment is not too old, but you can see magicplan in action in irregular rooms. But I like your feedback, we will see if we are able to manage to find such building to record a video - Silvia

    ok in empty rooms but does not scan with rooms with furniture in very well

      @magicplan  3 місяці тому

      Hi Brian, it depends on what scanning feature you want to use, if you use the manual scan you may want to watch this video so that you can see how to scan a corner even if you have furniture in the room >> ua-cam.com/video/KpiEor9-cL0/v-deo.html
      If you use instead the same scanning feature shown in this video, then you can the furniture too, just do not move too quick. Hope this helps you a bit.😊 Silvia

    Excellent test

      Terrible test. They use closed rooms. They never beat stair cases, and open floor plans. This test is a joke.

    This is the LEAST comprehensive comparison I’ve ever seen on the internet, and sometimes not well. Also you have to spent time fixing the doors and removing any furniture. This vid is a joke!
    And deceptive. LiDAR only works in closed rooms. Also they never addressed the fact the door was wrong and if it had windows those would be wrong as well. Also That’s only 1 room, it’s just a small portion of the house. While it’s a fairly decent tool. I often find myself using a laser because it’s much quicker and far more accurate.

      Hi Andre, this is just a short comparison video, if you look among all the videos on our channel you will also find other kinds of videos. Nevertheless, I can guarantee you that I entirely scanned that apartment using LiDAR, keep an eye on the channel to check when it will be released. This video is not a webinar, so the aim of it was different. 🙂 Silvia
