i think Sarah performed a great risk assessment on that airstrip she knew she had the race in the bag and backed off for no further risk to her and her daughters safety especially with the trailer on what an epic drive and what a gorgeous part of this beautiful country i hope i have the privilege to explore it myself one day!

The fact that the RWD vehicle made it through the toughest water crossing on the trip, and that John goes everywhere in the NT in that vehicle makes me wonder whether you actually need a fully locked 4WD for trips like this? Can anyone provide some advice? Not talking about offroading as such - just touring etc.
Definitely get a 4wd brother, it’s 100% worth the extra price, if you ever get stuck in 2wd, putting it in 4wd will almost always get you out. If you ever hit a beach you’ll want to put it in 4wd always. 2wd is simply no where near as good. I highly recommend getting a 4wd vehicle

I know the snorkel makes sure the engine doesn't ingest water but how can you go that deep with engine electrical systems and the cooling fan and does the interior not get wet at all?
The idea is you can’t stay under for super long and fully submerge it but there are a few things you can do to assist; snorkels, waterproof alternators, filters to stop the water etc
If you tune that 6.7 It's an absolute beast and It would destroy any car you have. I had one and it just smoked everything. Love my 5.9L 6BT swapped GU Patrol tho, goes like hell.
I think the ultimate ram 2500 would be a six wheel drive with all the goodies like a full kit out from GSL 30'tires pcor tray and gme 2 spares plus a ll redarc and the fav"s
9:30 the mega 6X6 is better only offroad on the tough tracks with no trailers behind the mega 6X6 would beat the Super Ram hands down. But when it comes to situations that need power the Super Ram hands down
