My favorite thing about the grocery store scene is that it’s the EXACT SAME location they shot the grocery store scene for Cult in, it’s just framed and lit differently
Maybe she's obsessed with Lyme disease because she had some type of health problem in the past that caused her to lose a pregnancy. When Harry said something about how she gets irrational "every time she's pregnant," for some reason, I got the impression he was talking about more pregnancies than just the two.
ooh good catch, I didn't even think about him saying "every time." if it was only one, it seems like he would've said "last time you were pregnant" huh? I bet you're right.
I read a theory that she could possibly be a surrogate. This would make sense with the need for more money, plus the fact that there’s been no mention of preparing for the birth. Unless I just didn’t catch it, they never mentioned if they would be returning to their original home with the baby and she appears to be pretty far along & unprepared.
I love how the grocery store owner knew IMMEDIATELY that Harry had taken the pill (The Muse). So it's dope that some of the townspeople are in on the whole thing.

Plus she was trying to hype up the Instagram design contest she won that had "over 100" entrants.
I don't think she will take it. Atleast not while she is pregnant. I think once her baby is born if they are still in town she might take it afterwards if someone steals her baby. I have a feeling she is going to find out about the pills that way and then once she takes it she will go insane.

Remember the first body on the beach was a fisherman who washed ashore from a fishing ship that was shown in the background. Hinting that they are aquatic in some regard. Or there's more than one type of pale person. Both ideas are interesting and I can't wait for more.
The town feels like a internal rot. its good that it gives a honest feel of east coast ghost story vibes. theres lots of that with old towns on the coast. good creepy vibes so far. hope its a good season ☺
They’ve kind of foreshadowed that Doris will take the pill and become a “talentless flesh bag”. I see this as a commentary on the IG influencer phenomenon that a bunch of people go social media and think they are talented but really aren’t. It’s quite clever really. These talentless IG influencers end up feeding off of the truly talented.
And the color scheme of her life is very “influencer”. And she rolled her eyes at her client not understanding minimalism. As if she’s got some sort of taste that’s too hard to understand when it’s really just beige and white decor.
As a New England native, locals do kinda have the "ignorance is bliss" attitude towards weird things. I bet that if weird vampire people started dancing around in my town the locals would shrug it off and blame it on drugs or teenagers or something.
im so happy that ryan found a perfect way to place little hints of the older seasons into this new one. it might have taken him a whole season of ahs and three episodes of horror stories but he got there and im so proud

On the beach scene with the bodies: the jaws reference and the prior mob murder reference might be a nod to a “The lady in the dunes”; a cold case that happened in PTown in ‘74. There was all kinds of speculation from Whitey Bulger, a serial killer, or a shark. There was also some speculation after she was identified that she was actually an extra in Jaws before her gruesome murder.
I'd like to point out there are some small animals that can sound like a baby crying and we never actually saw a baby, but we did see a fox get snatched.
@@BuddhaFang depends on the person. I'd be totally distraught over giving someone a dog I knew they were gonna kill and eat. I can totally see TB Karen being an animal lover and having foxes as pets.
Provincetown is pretty much dead outside of summer, where it’s overflowing with LGBT tourists, pride parades, parties, etc. So this depiction is highly accurate for colder weather.
Greg and Ryan! So good to see you back!! My prediction: Karen has Lyme disease, not TB. That's the reason why the pale ones do not attack her, even though she thinks it's because she is getting protection from Belle. Doris might also have Lyme disease considering her being sick even though she is far past the time for morning sickness. Ultimately Lyme diseased blood might be the cure for the blood suckers and the pale ones, either coming from Karen and/or Doris or Doris' unborn child.
@@bladynw can you please explain. I only say that because we already met a blood sucking race and they said the pill came into creation by accident from a lot of other stuff that was tested on. So who know someone didn’t get the blood of one of kids the countess had or whatever.
Great to see you guys back doing breakdowns for AHS. When I first saw the trailer/promo for this season. I was getting The Shining and Salem's Lot vibes. And the final scene of episode 2 had given me Pet Semetary vibes for some reason. So far I'm loving this season and can't wait for next week's episode.
This season also gives me “Mother!” vibes. The man is a writer struggling with writer’s block and his wife is pregnant and redoing/decorating the house. Same grey/beige setting. He all of a sudden gets inspired and starts writing like a maniac and the publisher calls and checks on him and loves his new work. And there’s the obvious feeling that the weirdos are going to be going after her baby at some point when it’s born. In the previews for the rest of the season it also looks like they invade the house at some point which is what occurred in “Mother!” Just some similarities I noticed. Minus Alma and all the monsters of course. Lol I’m loving this season so far!
@@ollieno971 very true! I loved that movie also. I know that these themes have nods to other movies, shows, ideas and it’s something that I noticed. AHS is much more sinister in this case. Either way, I’m here for it and love this season!
Something I don’t understand is if the people who took the pill either become more talented or become messed up but who is filing the teeth of the ones who became ghoulish
@violet so u think the pale effect happens after they take the pill a few times?? I had figured based on how quickly he started craving blood the other guys would have changed as quickly
I have no words to improve on what you guys are saying. LOVE the new season and the addition of McCauley Culkin. He is brilliant, as is Sarah Paulson and AHS is what we have needed to start feeling normal after the pandemic!
I was rewatching asylum today and noticed that Lana’s son, Johnny had a therapist (the one he killed) Her name was dr. Gardner. Which is the same last name of Finn’s character in double feature. (Harry Gardner). Maybe the two are related in some way? This could just be a coincidence but I wanted to point that out 🤪
I'm getting very similar energy from another movie with Lily Rabe; Fractured. The families in both film and show respectively parallel the members of each household and motifs of a crumbling family structure involving pregnancies are present. If Doris takes Alma to a hospital after her little winters bone incident I'm sure we will get some homages or fun nods to that film as well 😊
I think the reason why they show Harry going out when his wife wasn't feeling good was to show the character's state of mind and personality. I mean, his self-center personality and desperation as a writer. I want to comment on how great the chemistry of Evan Peters and Frances Conroy is on their scenes! 😍
I jumped in starting with the 3rd show...and of course saw the 4th and 5th recently. I didn't end up going back to watch no.1 and 2 cuz i was very easily able to catch up on everything when i tuned in to show no. 3....but w/ your vid here, let's see what I needed to also know....txs
An almost deserted town and a writer named Harry. Big Silent Hill vibes I wonder if his daughter is going to go missing? Have you seen a little girl, long black hair? lol 😂
Things I noted: 1: Why do the Pale People also have sharpened teeth?... 2: The "Tide" in "Red Tide" could also be a reference to addiction. 3: This setting gives off big Lovecrafts' "Shadow over Innsmouth" vibes for me.
I doubt it was related but the whole violin/vampire thing reminded me of The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned. They also used the song "Change", I believe it's called.
I wonder why no one has mentioned yet the duet Evan Peter's and Frances Conroy were singing at the restaurant was "Islands in the stream".......not only a song by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton....it is also the title to the book Ernest Hemmingway wrote and was published posthumously, like 10 years posthumously....Most of us know about Hemmingway right? The great author who loved the island life, the sea, and who also took his own life eventually.
I thought the same two things with a family member just watching him drink the blood and that the story was just a sentence over and over like the shining! I’ve been waiting for you two to come back :)
In the first episode, Harry asks Doris if she wants him to bring anything from the restaurant and she says that she wants a burger and is craving red meat. So I'm assuming that something is going on with her since she said this. Also her attitude changes in the second episode because when Alma is looking for the black pill you can see Doris on the phone crying and yelling. While in the first episode she is caring and loving. I think Doris is also going through that transformation but in a different way.
Just came across yall's channel and instantly got my thumbs up and subscribed AND od course u cant forget the notification bell. Love the knowledge and the love the both of you have for the show and how u break the whole episode down with episodes. I also love how u let us know if like there is a little bit of a B.O.A.T.S( Based on a true story) whether its just scene or the whole episode was based on true past history like A.H.S Hotel and mainly all of his seasons have a based on a true story event behind it and that's what makes it even more interesting for me. 10/10 recommend for me 👍
The babies getting kidnapped by TB Karen reminds me of hotel when the countess wanted young children, maybe there is a higher being, also possible the babies are used in the making of the pills. Also when Belle drank the blood from Mickey she used the same method as the countess by putting a small slit instead of bitting.
My theories: 1. The grocery store owner is a ghost. 2. The pale people were attacking them solely to protect them from their fate. 3. The pale people aren’t the ones who have no talent, they are the ones who voluntarily stopped taking the black pill and became that because they have their teeth done which confirms they were well enough to go to the dr.
I initially thought Belle Noir and other pill takers feed off the pale people. I mean who would notice them going missing I also thought that Harry found two of the pale people dead on the beach
I think he didn't leave because after taking the first pill some part of his brain knew he was going to need more pills to complete the series and the pills are in that town. He also needs to be taught where to find blood and how to hunt. Well that's why I feel he changed his mind so fast about getting his family away from danger, those pills are so powerful they are immediately addictive after the first pill.
Alma is the same name for the daughter in Season 10 and Kit's wife in Season 2 who was abducted by aliens. With double feature also having aliens, I'm wondering if there is a connection here? Maybe Harry's script is the unresolved alien story that occurred in Asylum? And he adopted his daughter's name for one of his characters that being Kit's wife?
I’m already excited with this season. Faust but right now. With the amount of dangerous idea of success and viral success. This is so clever. And OMG the set design is amazing. I’m gagging of how amazing those episodes were.
@@bambi_het_gevaarlijke_hert5150 in the first episode of Asylum, when Kit says to Alma that they should tell everyone about their relationship he mentions that they went to Provincetown to get married.
You have good taste. But ugh, I HATE that it will forever be known as the House theme. It's so much better than that! The song is called 'Teardrop' by the band 'Massive Attack' (which Banksy is a member of). The album is called 'Mezzanine' and it is sooo good. I highly recommend listening to it sometime!! Especially the song 'Black Milk'.
Theory: - Doris has already taken the pill. - The pale people are those who have stopped taking the pill. - Part 2 of Double Feature is Harry’s script.

Remember the first body on the beach was a fisherman who washed ashore from a fishing ship that was shown in the background. Hinting that they are aquatic in some regard. Or there's more than one type of pale person. Both ideas are interesting and I can't wait for more.
Maybe they hibernate like bears. Instead of winter, they do it in summer.
The town feels like a internal rot. its good that it gives a honest feel of east coast ghost story vibes. theres lots of that with old towns on the coast. good creepy vibes so far. hope its a good season ☺
Hahaha. I searched on here yesterday on your channel to see if you had covered the new AHS.
So happy to see the video out today! Love you guys.
SAME 🤣🤣🤣🤣🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
THANK YOU! Happy to be back :)
Eternally grateful that Deftones made it to AHS. It was always meant to be. Episode 2 has me really hopeful that it doesn't bomb after this point.
@@rosemarytf true! Hence why she got upset when Alma said the colours are all the same.
Imagine this somehow ties into the rumor that people in Hollywood drink blood? Because how many customers could Lark really have?
I was thinking this like a truth hiding in plain sight kinda thing
Andrenochrome
Hotel also had adrenochrome vibes for sure
This feels twin peaks in the sense of I’d brad wasn’t involved in STORIES and only this then Ryan is just here for the cool images
david's daughter Jennifer has worked on some episodes!
@@ouroboro266 yeah David Lynch's daughter has been directing / writing on the show for years!
As a New England native, locals do kinda have the "ignorance is bliss" attitude towards weird things. I bet that if weird vampire people started dancing around in my town the locals would shrug it off and blame it on drugs or teenagers or something.
Y’all trippin the best intro is “1984” !! That 80s footage of aerobics and murderous vibes was soo iconic 🔥👻
I also loved the remixed music
I totally agree 84 has a great intro
im so happy that ryan found a perfect way to place little hints of the older seasons into this new one. it might have taken him a whole season of ahs and three episodes of horror stories but he got there and im so proud
I want Doris to take the pill, and think nothing happened for her, because it went straight to the baby.
ooooooooo and then it could go either way, it comes out crazy talented and hooked on blood OR as one of the white things
@@melodyhaviland9393 Or she slowly gets drained of her blood from the baby taking it! Ah so spooky
I could see it turning out that she does have talent, but the baby ends up being like the countess' baby in Hotel.
I'm so glad you guys are back I missed AHS & you both are the only ones I can understand all break downs so I'm grateful for you both thank you for everything you both do & the hard work & fun you both put into these! Thank you! Lol I had to add this crazy Karen aka S.P has got this right & M.M is amazing so happy to see him on screen again!
Wow, I follow a YTer who just visited where her body was found & told the story of her case.
Absolutely loved the first two episodes! Glad to see you guys back!
I'd like to point out there are some small animals that can sound like a baby crying and we never actually saw a baby, but we did see a fox get snatched.
I think she wouldn’t have been so freaked out if it was just an animal. Creeped out, but not freaked out.
@@BuddhaFang depends on the person. I'd be totally distraught over giving someone a dog I knew they were gonna kill and eat. I can totally see TB Karen being an animal lover and having foxes as pets.
@@Absbabs88 oh I agree. I would be just as upset.
Glad you two are back- but I was waiting to see some “Stories” break downs!
the scene when the pale guy runs after them gave me night of the living dead vibes
Also them gathering outside the house reminded me of omega man
i’m in love with this season so far!
Glad you guys are back!! Missed your breakdowns so happy are doing this season!
Provincetown is pretty much dead outside of summer, where it’s overflowing with LGBT tourists, pride parades, parties, etc. So this depiction is highly accurate for colder weather.
Sounds great for some frisson! I'd love to visit a place so somber for awhile.
Notice those red lanterns lit up when Harry first trip to the supermarket. The lanterns could be the signs for the ‘vampires’ who lives in the town.
I THINK TB Karen and Sally are sooo different and we'll see more differences come up. I'm in love with this season so far. Way better than Stories 🥴
Stories was not a great season at all 😣 except for Ba’al, but so far I love this season!
You guys forgot to mention the name of the restaurant/bar, “The Muse.”
What if this pill comes from the blood of whatever the Countess was. I feel like season definitely has connections to Asylum but there is some hotel
I don’t really think that will be correct
@@bladynw can you please explain. I only say that because we already met a blood sucking race and they said the pill came into creation by accident from a lot of other stuff that was tested on. So who know someone didn’t get the blood of one of kids the countess had or whatever.
They used the AHS theme from asylum for the intro of this season.
like the song?? lol that’s in every season
@@melodyhaviland9393 he means they haven’t remixed it
Great to see you guys back doing breakdowns for AHS.
Yeah but Mother! Was entirely a metaphor for the Bible. This doesn’t seem to have any biblical metaphors
@@ollieno971 very true! I loved that movie also. I know that these themes have nods to other movies, shows, ideas and it’s something that I noticed. AHS is much more sinister in this case. Either way, I’m here for it and love this season!
I wish I hadn’t known that was supposed to be Kathy Bates’ roll. I can’t help but imagine her playing it.
This could just be a coincidence but I wanted to point that out 🤪
Yes yes yes!! I was so worried y’all weren’t covering it because I hadn’t seen anything!!! Thank you for staying with this!!!
thank you for watching along with us!
I'm getting very similar energy from another movie with Lily Rabe; Fractured. The families in both film and show respectively parallel the members of each household and motifs of a crumbling family structure involving pregnancies are present. If Doris takes Alma to a hospital after her little winters bone incident I'm sure we will get some homages or fun nods to that film as well 😊
Aww this is nostalgic 🤗 it’s been a minute since we seen y’all !!!
I think the reason why they show Harry going out when his wife wasn't feeling good was to show the character's state of mind and personality. I mean, his self-center personality and desperation as a writer.
I want to comment on how great the chemistry of Evan Peters and Frances Conroy is on their scenes! 😍
She insisted he go out
I jumped in starting with the 3rd show...and of course saw the 4th and 5th recently. I didn't end up going back to watch no.1 and 2 cuz i was very easily able to catch up on everything when i tuned in to show no. 3....but w/ your vid here, let's see what I needed to also know....txs
Guuuuuuuuuys I missed these breakdowns!!! So glad to have you both back xxx
What would you rather have for dinner?
a) raw meat shake, or
b) Stu stew
Great question..... raw meat shake for me please 😂
thé stëw is stü
I'll have a Stu Stew, thanks.
Greg and Ryan are back breaking AHS Love this :)
An almost deserted town and a writer named Harry. Big Silent Hill vibes I wonder if his daughter is going to go missing? Have you seen a little girl, long black hair? lol 😂
My favorite part of AHS is Greg's & Ryan's breakdowns.
The Vibe I get from this is Stephen King's The Shining.
And a little bit Salem’s Lot
YAY!! I was so worried we weren't gonna get Greg and Ryan back. Good to see y'all!
Missed you all !!!!! Glad to hear your voices ✊
so happy to be back :)
I thought the same two things with a family member just watching him drink the blood and that the story was just a sentence over and over like the shining! I’ve been waiting for you two to come back :)
I keep drawing mental parallels between lyme disease|ticks|vampires
10/10 recommend for me 👍
btw dorris has been showing symptoms of lyme disease the whole time.
And them playing the song from House M.D where Lyme disease was sorta a meme
The babies getting kidnapped by TB Karen reminds me of hotel when the countess wanted young children, maybe there is a higher being, also possible the babies are used in the making of the pills. Also when Belle drank the blood from Mickey she used the same method as the countess by putting a small slit instead of bitting.
Look into adrenochrome
Wow. I can believe how much I’ve missed you two!!! Glad to have you back.
My theories:
Good observation
I initially thought Belle Noir and other pill takers feed off the pale people. I mean who would notice them going missing
I also thought that Harry found two of the pale people dead on the beach
Omg I missed u guys sooo much!
Now the season has officially begun ❤️❤️
I absolutely agree with it having 'Salems Lot vibes.
Been waiting for this!!!!
:)
It’s great to see you guys again doing a breakdown on AHS! You guys are awesome!!!
I was looking forward to this. Thank you guys so so much!!!
Glad y'all are back! We missed ya guys!
I’m already excited with this season. Faust but right now. With the amount of dangerous idea of success and viral success. This is so clever. And OMG the set design is amazing. I’m gagging of how amazing those episodes were.
Kit and Alma actually got married in Provincetown lol
How do u know that
@@bambi_het_gevaarlijke_hert5150 in the first episode of Asylum, when Kit says to Alma that they should tell everyone about their relationship he mentions that they went to Provincetown to get married.
yaaas!! glad y'all are back 💖
thank you!
Happy to have you both back for some AHS
I loved how they played the theme to House.
Probably a reference to Lyme disease
So glad this season is good so far. Hyped to see what they come up with next because it’s really entertaining.
Good to see you guys back for AHS💯💯
Theory:
- Doris has already taken the pill.
- The pale people are those who have stopped taking the pill.
- Part 2 of Double Feature is Harry’s script.
That would be fucking sick
Fear mongering to keep people addicted.. interesting. The pale people could just be a product of part 2 of the season!
