Gosh when I first started watching this I didn't know what to expect from Nestor but man he is one sweet man!! He's like the sweetest actor...How can anyone not fall in love with him? I'd be afraid to meet him in person because I'd be hooked...
Wow. I just came here to see if Vera was in any of this cuz well duh. And I ended up watching the whole 47mins because I just fell in love with Nester lol what a sweet freakin guy!!! He seems like an awesome family man and so nice and genuine dang why aren't ppl like this more popular in Hollywood it really crushes me and makes me mad!!!! Talented, good looking, amazing performer, everyone on those tours should've been freaking out when they passed by him ugh frustrates me!!!! But good man right there. Thanks for the tour :)

This guy is so appealing, I just started watching the series on Netflix and the whole cast is amazing. I found out about the show from a comment someone made on a Freddie Highmore interview, here on youtube. So I was interested in Freddie because of The Good Doctor and someone said Freddie's also great in Bates Motel. So started watching it and wow, like it even better than Good Doctor. And that's saying something because I hate violence. But this is done with just the right hint of absurdity to keep it from getting depressing. Cann't wait till Norma and Alex get together!

Nice seeing the classic set from the 60s
He's been given incorrect information on this "original"Psycho set, probably from Universal. This set is merely the latest of three sets in the third location, NOT the original one in Hitchcock's classic, as he says here. The original Bates Motel was actually demolished by Universal in the late 60's, then a second one was built to go with the second version of the house for Psycho 2 in 1983. This third set here is sadly surrounded by other large sets like the Whoville houses from a forgotten Dr. Seuss movie.

It's so cool to see how passionate and enthusiastic the cast and crew were about this amazing (and criminally underrated) series and it definitely shows in the final product. I've never seen anything quite like Bates Motel on so many levels. My favorite series of all time. Hitchcock would be proud!
Of the Psycho and Bates Motel series, Nestor's character Romeo is definitely my favorite.

Honestly my favorite part of the tram, well maybe besides Hill Valley. I just love the history behind that motel set, and Psycho. I would really enjoy a in dept tour of the motel, and house used in the show.
Hill Valleys been burnt down for years now. It's a shame.

You know I'd noticed that about the way Norman says things sometimes, it's not how you'd expect an 18 year old to phrase it, its never anything massively obvious but it just makes you question him a little, but not enough to take it any further! That's very clever, interesting that Freddie added those in himself.

okay does anyone know the scene nestor was talking about when freddie got knocked out? i was looking for it but didn't see it in episode 6 or 5 haha
It is pretty much at the very beginning of Season 3 episode 6 where Norman is freaking out tearing the kitchen apart and then starts smacking at Dylan and Dylan wallops him and he falls to the floor... the next scene is Norma crying in the car driving.
@@Dzraydarkangel yep I just watched and you can see Freddie’s foot twitching like he said. I wonder when you hear the “oww” whether that was his genuine reaction to being it rather than an “acted” sound.

The house on the hill is a great house.
Nestor is incorrect. This version of the Bates Motel is not the one from the original, nor is it located in the exact same location as it was when the 1960 movie was filmed. It actually burned down during the 22 year hiatus between the 1st and 2nd movies. This hotel is the one that was rebuilt for Psycho 2 at a different location from the 1st. The house was subsequently moved to the new location for movie #2.
I didn't know this. What caused the fire?
The bedroom cabin 1 seems has changed a lot, from the 1960s movie, the interior was much more decorated and neat. The bathroom was sad and un-maintained. Just like an old house that has been changed due to its decaying age.

Really cool video. Except some of the facts Nestor talks about regarding the motel are wrong. The original motel was destroyed sometime around 1980. The motel we see today was built for Psycho III. It is also the third location on the lot where the motel has been. There are several cool websites that document this with some amazing photos. This was still a great video.

I read somewhere that they just took the house apart and moved it to the current location.
@@KelpShake98 Actually this is the third version of the house and motel in a third location, for the record, since he's been given incorrect information, probably from Universal who didn't take this set's history that seriously through the years, even demolishing the original Bates Motel by the late 60's!
