I couldn't agree more! If you have't already, you should check the Panorama Route just as breathtaking as the garden route ua-cam.com/video/vmo_QMOBpko/v-deo.html
Took a lot of creative freedom there with the footage I see 😂 Although most of it is from the Garden Route (where I live), some of those shots are DEFINITELY not from here. For example, road markings are different from how they look here in South Africa. Vegetation in some footage does not grow here, and one scene from Nature's Valley is most certainly not from there.
Thank you for taking the time to share your local knowledge and perspective. You're correct that we've taken some creative liberties with the footage to best tell our story. While the Garden Route offers breathtaking scenery, there were instances where we included complementary scenes to support the narrative. For example, we weren't able to capture someone fishing at the time of filming, so we used alternative footage to fill that part of the story. This is a common practice in production to help maintain a consistent and engaging narrative. We appreciate your understanding and your insightful comments on the local area.
This was very nice to watch as im missing living there after having to move to the UK after the loosing everything in the 2016 Knysna fires but there is some footage which i think is not even from South Africa, not much but it was noticeable to me, i owned a guest house and adventure company and know this area like the back of my hand, but apart from a few clips it was great. thanks
Thank you for sharing your perspective and your personal story. I'm truly sorry to hear about the loss you experienced during the 2016 Knysna fires and the subsequent move to the UK. It's great that you found the video enjoyable overall, and I appreciate your keen eye and local expertise in pointing out the few clips that seemed out of place. Your insights are valuable, and I hope that you'll continue to share your knowledge with us going forward.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. The Garden Route has always been one of my favourite places to visit. I am planning to visit South Africa sometime this year, and will most certainly make my way to the' G.R' again. Much aroha from Aotearoa.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to watch the video! The Garden Route is truly a special place, and I'm glad it holds such fond memories for you. I hope you have an incredible trip when you visit South Africa again. Wishing you safe travels and sending warm wishes back to Aotearoa! 🌴🌺
Great video, the imagery really captures our beautiful country!❤️🇿🇦I visited some of these places but haven't had the chance to explore in depth so I definitely want to see more of the Garden Route*
That's wonderful to hear! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and that it showcased the beauty of South Africa ❤️🇿🇦. The Garden Route is indeed stunning and has so much to offer. From the lush forests of Tsitsikamma to the picturesque towns like Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, there's always more to explore. I hope you get the chance to visit again and experience all the hidden gems along the route. Happy travels! 🌳🏞️🐳

Just saw my stock footage I submitted to Blackbox. The first footage for Kaaimans river where the camera is revealing the bridge. Thank you for the love.
That's amazing! Your stock footage of the Kaaimans river revealing the bridge is absolutely stunning. Your footage is much better than mine, the weather was terrible on the day I shot the video. Your work really elevated the quality of our project. Keep creating such incredible content!
Gorgeous production, thank you. I used to live in the area and you really showed the natural beauty to the tee. To those commenting on pronunciation: there are places in SA I can't pronounce properly and I've lived here my whole life. Also, try pronouncing the name of this town before you criticize others: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.

The filming took place in late March, when the weather is typically ideal. The best time for visiting is usually from August to October, during African spring.
No worries, time flies and places can change a lot! Sedgefield and Knysna are still beautiful spots. If you ever get the chance to visit again, you might find that some things have changed, but the natural beauty is still there. What are some of your favorite memories from your holidays in those places?
@ the fish and chip shop in Sedgefield and I also saw the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in cut of denim shorts in the snorkel and surf shop not to mention the fishing was the best I’ve ever had on Swartvlei lagoon when it was called joorus park
You're correct that this isn't the world's highest bungee jump in terms of overall height. The highest is the jump from Macau Tower, which is 233 meters high. However, you're right that this is indeed the highest commercial bridge bungee, standing at 216 meters. That's why we specifically mentioned at the 17:14 mark in the video that it's "Home to the world's highest commercial bridge bungee jump" Thanks for pointing out the distinction!
The highest is also a bridge, be it a glass bridge. South Africa's Bloukrans is by far the cheapest bungee of the big jumps, and includes a zipline to the middle of the arch under the bridge. (Exchange Rate on 24/09/24) #1: Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge Bungee, China - 260 metres. Cost R7400 / $426 #2: Macau Tower, China - 233 metres. Cost R6500 / $376 #3: Kushma, Nepal - 228 meters. #4: Contra Dam, Switzerland - 220 metres. ... #5: Bloukrans Bridge, South Africa - 216 metres. Cost R1690 / $97 #6: Europabrücke, Austria - 192 metres.
Good riddance.....Mose sell bay 😂😂😂. Guy, get a dictionary!! Moss like the mossbgrowing outside. Mossal Bay in your tongue might sound right. Always #askthelocals

Except a lot of the footage is not from the Garden Route at all, not even south africa, just generic “images of lakes with trees” add ons
Which month was this video shot in? Weather and scenery looks beautiful

Much of the footage is not South Africa, not authentic, so don’t take this video too seriously

20 million year old caves
Yup, hard to believe but it is 20 million years old caves
Fake News, as there is absolutely zero evidence of that.
