I needed a new pressed powder so bad for touch-ups and the Huda loose powder has been my go-to for YEARS. Its my secret to having perfect complexion. (At least, when I have makeup on. Lol.) So, I needed this review!!!
The main difference for me is that the pressed powder has more radiance. It has MICA unlike the loose version so it reminds me a lot of the Hourglass powders which have mica as the first ingredient. Especially on your face, it looked like Hourglass 👌🏾
The loose powder wins for me on you. I received the pressed Cherry Blossom today and I have to say that on my 58 year old skin it's just awful. It's cakey and accentuates everything. It will be better for more youthful skin I believe but honestly, after one use I do not want to use it again - but I will try it and see if I can make it work as we cannot return makeup products in the UK. Thanks for your review, every little helps. Super smiles. Nina 🙂
It has Mika powder and that’s it. I’m disappointed)) Also, on one site it’s described as talc free (on Sephora, I think), when her site has talc as the first ingredient. It’s so confusing!
The pressed powder has mica in it, that’s why it appears brighter under the eyes. In real life it will accentuate all the pores and shine in random places. So cheap and disappointing (
@@polinatalmeltzer450 It's NOT cheap and disappointing just because you don't like it. Some ppl love that radiance. In fact MANY Hourglass powders have MICA as the first ingredient and those powders are best sellers.
I actually think the pressed powder side looks better, it appears more polished, especially in your update footage. I'm not sure if lighting plays a part in this
@@polinatalmeltzer450 RELAX. Some ppl love that radiance. In fact MANY Hourglass powders have MICA as the first ingredient and those powders are best sellers.
Loose powders always have much more product. I have used many many pressed powders and I always completely pan then in 2 months. While my loose powders, even the mini versions often go longer than a year, especially that Laura Mercier one which I have had for as long as I remember. I have the mini of the loose cherry blossom, the scent is strong and the packaging is difficult to use on the mini, so I will get the pressed one once I finish this
I don’t expect Huda to release every single shade of her loose powder without fragrance. I would love it if she would release a couple shades without fragrance. That is what is holding me back from buying this powder. I do prefer the loose powder side.
I have the pressed easy bake translucent setting powder. I thought I was baking wrong, but no matter what I do It always ends up cakey and dry looking. 😭😭 Perhaps, maybe this time it's the product and not me? 😅😂
I cannot find my shade in pressed 😢 I don’t want pink & I don’t want cupcake I’m not rosy I’m actually v ruddy. I’m much paler than Morgan so I don’t think pound cake will work. It looks rly dark in the pic!! 😢😢😢 I was so excited to buy this but where is the translucent??????? 😮😮😮
I'm in the same boat, I use the Sugar Cookie loose powder. I don't know why they left that one out! I will say the Sephora pictures look much darker than they look in this video. I'm hoping Pound Cake can work. I was really looking forward to this one!
@@Jess4mab thanx 4 the suggestion on sugar cookie. I may hafta buy that in the big 1 someday. I’m not rly familiar w Huda but I hate to buy it & then return it. I wonder if the loose cherry blossom is a good alternative to the too faced peach perfect powder. I’m babying my last container because I haven’t found anything that is as perfect as it yet.
I like the Huda powder for my under eyes but the Givenchy one for my face. Would’ve definitely rather have has the pressed version vs the loose. The packaging sucks!
Nope hard pass on the pressed powder. The mica and boron nitride is the first ingredients. Mica too much of a sheen and the boron nitrite sucks all the oils out of your skin. As I have dry under eyes and some fine lines. I know she wanted to please the masses with being talc free. But ehhhh 😩 I’ll stick with the loose powder it is so good.
I saw a UA-camr Maryam try it out and she did not like it. it emphasized her textured a lot. 😢 I have large pores and texture and form this reason is a pass for me!
One of the worst powders ever bought(loose powder). Used only once: turns off the complexion, dries the skin, ages the under eye. Terribly. Forbidden to less than combination skin.
The scent ruins the loose powder! It's so overpowering and headache inducing... fragrance shouldn't exist in makeup products! If so, there should ALWAYS be a fragrance-free option!

It looked like the pressed gave you more coverage. The end result made your skin look very smooth.
I thought so too. Pressed side looks smoother
Hands down the best powder that’s ever been created in the history of powders.
I just wish Huda would release a fragrance-free version of the loose powder 😫 I’m going to try out the pressed version on the meantime.
I thought they were in the process of that right now but i could be be wrong.
Same... The fragrance is just too strong and also doesn't smell good at all.
Oh yeah I hate the fragrance in the loose powder. Very strong, and definitely not my taste
Agree. The scent is crazy
She just released a fragrance-free version on her website!

“18 months > 12 months” this is why we trust Morgan ❤😂

Hi Nina please let me know if you were able to use the press powder on your face. I’m torn between the 2..to purchase still
I just recently purchased the loose powder because of your reccomendation and omg it's amazing, I'm in love
Oh wow the pressed powder is definitely lighter and brighter… both shades it was noticeably different.
I think it looks great !
It has Mika powder and that’s it. I’m disappointed)) Also, on one site it’s described as talc free (on Sephora, I think), when her site has talc as the first ingredient. It’s so confusing!
I agree with you, the loose powder is more blurring. I would use the press under eye and loose on the rear of the face 😊
Apparently, the pressed powder has some mica (shimmer) in the formula. I think that that explaines the performance difference.
I am excited to finally get to try it because it it fragrance free
My brother gets married this Saturday and I am a bridesmaid (doing my own makeup)... I'm running to Sephora tonight after work to get this!! 🤣😁
i personally love the scent of the loose powder, i could bathe in it
The loose powder side looks better. Plus, the pressed powder has mica... I don't want shiny pores if they begin breaking through 😅 loose powder ftw 🎉
I actually think the pressed powder side looks better, it appears more polished, especially in your update footage. I'm not sure if lighting plays a part in this
It’s mica, I checked the ingredient list (((
@@polinatalmeltzer450what’s wrong with mica? I know it to be safe ingredient. But as I’m scrolling the comments, many people accentuate the mica

Loveee your honesty on products!!!
The pressed cherry blossom powder looks DIVINE on you! There's something about the brightness of the pressed powder that also helps blur your pores.
I have to say while I am excited about this, I’m a bit surprised the packaging wasn’t more “fancy”…
The most honest review. I too think the pressed is a bit drying
So you may have to use the loose powder to bake first and then dust away with the pressed for the brightness so you can get the best of both worlds
It’s more pigmented and better coverage for the pressed imo. Will continue to use the loose under eye and the pressed all over.
I loooove and appreciate your honesty always ❤ I would love her to do us a favor and release a fragrance free loose bake powder
Same!
No! No one deserves to have a fragrance free Huda loose powder, except for Mikayla!! 😂😂

@@Rrenae234 I did see that and it says limited edition. I actually forgot about it until you mentioned it. Thanks for the reminder.
Thx for the information, Morgan. I’ll be sticking with the loose powder version 💜
Thanks for the timely review. So looking forward to doing my own side by side. I ordered the pressed powder yesterday in Pound Cake.
I ordered the cherry blossom, but to add on top of the loose just to give it a soft glow under the eyes
The loose powder side looks better.
And the pressed powder side looks dry.
Yeah Ive seen too many reviews calling the pressed cakey and dry
The pressed covers more and for me that wouldn’t work. Loose for me.

i love cherry blossom but dang the loose powder containers are so messy
The worst! Same as the Givenchy one. I used both daily and it’s so annoying!
closing it is the worst too
@@ksuarezfrYes! and getting it out of the mesh
HUGE difference. The pressed powder shows pores and imperfections and the loose doesn't even look like you have anything on your skin, it just glows.
I actually thinks the snatched version looks moore snatched😮😂
and def brighter..
I came here before bying the loose version but now Im conflicted 😰🙈😍
ok now I need both
Do you think the pressed powder would be a good touch up powder?
What jump in the frame and you were showing us the Powderpuff what was that?

I think i've been living under a rock for 10 years 😂
Can someone tell me, Is easy bake for your whole face or just under eye?
Loose pink powder 👍👍👍
I don't understand. The cherry blossom powder was so dark on my fair skin.
A dupe for this powder is Maybelline's Fit Me Loose Powder.
Wel,l I was happy for the frag-free choice, but same price as the loose powder? Hard pass
Anybody reply me.....when it's come to India
I hope by now you know its available in India.
Great job.
Her charging the same price for two completely different products is whack 🤨. I said what I said. Mica is reflective, so NO on the under eye 😳
I like the press powder look better
The effect of the pressed powder side gives you a more lifting effect
But it also depends on how your skin feels.
❤❤❤
I tried the pressed powder in store it was very dry. Don’t recommend
The new pressed powder has mica in it and the loose doesn't.
Hello beautiful Morgan 😍

I’m 50 & am looking for a powder that won’t emphasize my age, does anyone know if either of these would be good for mature skin?
