Could you make a video addressing clothing/getting dressed after weight gain? A lot of people recommend wearing larger sizes but isn’t this a form of hiding your body/reinforcing fear of weight gain? How can we get dressed comfortably without reinforcing negative neural pathways? Thanks!

This came 100% at the right time for me. Thank you so much, you wise woman! But what about clothes that will do the job for me? Even very 'loungy' pants will tell me there is an extra gram on my thighs.

    Love this!! Thank you ♥
I have a question... You talk alot about migratory response but what about hibernation response? Are the mental and physical responses similar? I relate to a lot of your mental things you speak of but definitely not the physical 😂
Due to severe migraines with vomiting for 11yrs I developed anorexia!! What the!!! anyways everytime I did anything 'too much', my body would shut down, get a migraine, bed ridden for days!! I've gone all in, gained and migraines are gone!!!! I just find all of this fascinating and LOVE your work!!! You have saved many! 😘

In terms of evolution and adaptation to famine, it makes sense to body check. If your brain is under alert that there's no food around, then we are compeled to believe being thinner will keep us migrating and go after the next hunt, and eat. If we conclude that the body is well-fed and "looking healthy/normal" then we might not go after that next meal and thus remain stationery and perhaps succumb to the starvation at hand.

I'm almost recovered after starting recovery for real this March. I have gained a few pounds even though I am a normal weight now. I still body check as much if not more than when i was starving myself. why do you think this is?

I think the body checking due to not trusting your body could still apply when not underweight (this is my situation too currently in recovery and having weight restored). The checking behaviour is still reinforcing that fear of weight gain belief system so even though it may not quite function as mental hunger/permission to eat in this situation, it still needs to stop! As to the how, ah as Tabitha would say, just don't do it! Haha easier then done I know but we gotta try x

I know it doesn't matter, but do you have advice for (normal/over weight) friends who don't eat all day? It makes me want to body check and skip meals more.

Recognize that that is exactly the same mental hunger? Plus: what you don't need friends who eat to allow yourself to eat. Tabitha has a video on this issue - keeping track of what others eat is very much a mental hunger thing and will disappear if you eat. Basically the answer to all the ED weird stuff is to keep on eating until your body is at its optimum.
