Omg, this brought back memories. I was one of the first 12 original hosts hired for QVC by John Eastman Himself in Sept/86. By Jan/87 realized this type of broadcasting was not for me. Went back to my roots in Theatre And Directing, married my long suffering boyfriend and lived happily ever after. You were a nice man, Mr Eastman and So we’re all the other hosts and staff but gold chains and pots and pans were not the stuff that dreams are made. Thanks for the memory. Best Wishes. EL
The QVC morning show and the lucky drawing are what drew me in back in 96. I shop every holiday season with them. I miss the lucky drawings. They later changed it to you won if your membership number came up. I still know my 8 digits membership number by heart. lol
Is Bob Bowersox still alive? Does anyone know what he is doing now? & does anyone remember a man about Bob's age named Paul? & if he is still with us? & a later host-Dalisa Crane.
I used to love the early days of QVC, I used to love seeing the Q bird sitting on one of the letters at the top of the hour, sure wish I recorded that because I miss it.
My mom and I didn't start watching until 1991...we didn't get the chanel and it was a favorite to watch even if you didn't buy a thing. Who remembers Kathy and Jeffery?
I remember watching QVC around 94-95 and Levine was the host, she was talking to the caller and the caller was talking, as usual and the camera switched to the item for sale and then switched back to Levine and she didn't know it. She was slouched over with her head turned to the side scratching it shaking her head and mumbling.
I won $1000.00 when QVC had a Sweepstakes in the late 90s I think. I never won anything and I bought some gold jewelry which was so CHEAP back then. QVC and some other online shopping networks are fun still to watch. I think though (especially QVC) they try to make their look so fancy..the sets and brand names make prices higher than they have to be. I think a shopping channel can be humble yet still sell good quality things for a reasonable price. It ends up that only a richer customer can purchase QVC now. I still have fun memories though of QVC and HSN back then. That's why I tune in now and again. Some of the early hosts are still there...don't buy things though. Gotta watch my spending!
Wow. I was there in 1985. Still watching remember when Kathy left qvc 😓. Years later she returned / wasn’t the same 😓😓 tears when Lisa Roberson left 😓😓 love my qvc
There's some international versions of QVC such as France Italy United kingdom Germany and of course Japan which is located in East Asia in France italy Germany and United kingdom are located in Europe
What's amazing is how expensive that piece of shit shower clock radio really is. Looking on the bls inflation calc, the "regular price" of $19.95 is equivalent to $43.55, today; the "on air" price of $11.49 is equivalent to $25.08, today. Then again, that shitty thing was probably pretty high tech in 1986.
I had one and tore it apart years later. Wires were held together with paper tape if you can believe it... It was nothing more than a speaker and a small board no bigger than a deck of cards.

I was there and purchased that radio. My Q-Bird is alive and well.
I forgot about Q-bird, & wish these simpler times were still around. At least they seemed simpler. More personal. Not all about the apps.
I still have my first Diamonique Tennis Bracelet in 1986. I love QVC and Diamonique. ♥️
I was there and ordered the first item on air- the Shower Radio which I still have and it still works!
I still have my original QVC card!

Can’t believe I’ve been watching since 1986.
It sure has changed over the years
Never forget, the Windsor Shower Companion. The very first product offered on QVC.

@@nindalorthrup , sorry. I should have figured that. I Love Kathy Gendel and her daughters. A lot!
The faux wood panelling reminds me of my rec room in 1976
This is the beginning of QVC.
That machine looks a lot like the machine the Pennsylvania Lottery used for it's Lotto drawings at the time, only in a hexagonal shape.
qvc Rachel Boeing
My new friend name is Sandra Bennett, she is the new QVC host since 2006.
I won the lucky ball.cant remember what I won.
Been on for 38 years
The music that would play when they drew that numbers was the lure for me as a kid.
can't believe how young Kathy Levin looks back then wow QVC Sure changed a lot
you would too in 30 or40 years
I think Kathy still looks good in her 70s!
Wow! Never saw the early days. Least I can’t remember.

I want this..
I've got so much stuff from QVC. Tons of Diamonique among other things. 🙂🙂
My mom said Bob got in trouble or something lol..
Omg the chubster droning on & on while the woman silently spins the balls. Ancient Times!
LMAO, who knew shower radios and dust busters would catch on!!
The lottery balls used to be what they matched the 4digits of your QVC membership number
They didn’t take American Express huh?
Does they still use the phone number
yes HSN changed their # when they switched from ATT to MCI
Not hot plating .. why?
Too bad you didn't keep it long enough to see the balls drawn (I recall there being a bit of music that went to that like a drum roll).

The lottery balls
Season 1
Oh man, Bob Boringsox, Forgot about him!
"In The Kitchen With Bob" was a better show than the "David" show.
@@anotheryoutubeaccount9852 Bob owned a restauraunt
@@anotheryoutubeaccount9852 I liked the David show. Bob seemed so stodgy!
