I know exactly which music you mean….I heard it a thousand times every day when I was loan-drafted to DPRN; It was electro music clipped from a Jean-Michel Jarre album, but I’m not sure which one.⚓️
Great advert, even though it’s a cheapo, clipped together, multi-yeared budget saver!! SHAME ON YOU, MOD(N)!! How do I know that?? Well...I was lucky enough to have served in the RN in the 70s/80s, when these different Recruiting Films were made, featuring a few people that I know, including the Messenger sisters (WRO’s) and one of my old ships!!!!👍🏻😀⚓️⚓️
@@BassSwirls 👍🏻I know which one you mean, it was filmed off Portland, and I can’t find it either. There’s a guy here on UA-cam called David Bober who’s posted-up loads of old RN Recruiting films & adverts and other related stuff, but not the Cutlass one. I think it’s a crime that these old tapes/films/videos from the 70s and 80s are buried in a storage vault somewhere!! They should all be loaded-up here on UA-cam!!👍🏻⚓️
@@mackan-kf4tg you’re absolutely spot on! I’m from a wee village up near the Isle of Skye and next to BUTEC. I was born in 1979 and wanted to look for the adverts and recruitment posters/booklets from the 80s and 90s for the RN, but I can’t find much at all. I know I took a heap from the recruiting office in Inverness when I was 16, but my parents wouldn’t let me sign-up for the RN…assholes! Anyway, my son wants to join as he loves diving and I told him he wouldn’t get a better training for it than with the RN. They send the baby divers up here to train. I wish I knew where to go to look for the old HMSO recruiting things - just for a trip down memory lane and to show my own kids how much the services have changed in 30 years.
What was the music from the navy stand at raf mildenhall in the 80s desperate to find out
