Well put. Personally had my iPhone XR as a daily driver for around 5 years now and it’s really gone down hill this past year or so. Could just be IOS 16 to be fair but the amount of crashes, bugs, not lasting a day of battery life like it used to, having very common slow downs and it’s feeling like the phone just can’t keep up like it use to is really sad to see. I encourage anyone who’s looking to get one of these phones for there general quick use to stray away from it and try find a better deal with something a bit newer. Also as mentioned in the video it could only get another 2 years (if that) of support so dropping in to the XR now isn’t great. Personally I recon it’s gonna loose iOS as soon as next year but I guess we’re soon see lol
Same, i just got my 13 today annd the battery life is insane
It may just be the age of your phone. I’ve had my XR since Christmas 2018 and I’ve also experienced a significant decline in battery life. When it was brand new I could go up to 2 days without charging if I didn’t use it constantly. Nowadays after using my phone daily for years it barely lasts half a day. This isn’t unusual for any iPhone though, no matter what model you get the battery will decline after a few years so for that reason I don’t think XR itself is at fault for poor battery life, that’s just the age of the battery. An XR with a new battery shouldn’t have any issues with battery life.
The slowness may be because it’s an older device or it could be from wear and tear after years of use. Again, if you got a brand new or barely used XR it probably wouldn’t have too much issue in terms of speed. But because it’s an older model it definitely won’t be compatible with a lot of the newer iOS features and may have some issues there.
Overall I’ve been very happy with my XR until it started declining because of age and constant use. It’s a beast that has withstood numerous drops onto gravel and concrete with only minor scratches. But if I were to recommend I phone I would probably still go with the newer one. It’s always smart to buy the newest phone you can afford to pay for so if you’ve got the money to spend I would stray away from older devices like the XR.

I just got the XR and i love it, i used to have an iphone 6, imaginate the change, anyway im planning to upgrade to an iph 13 next year

I’m experiencing the same with my XR. The battery used to last ages, nowadays it barely lasts half a day so I always have to Cary a charger with me everywhere I go to avoid it dying. I’m deciding between 13 and 14 personally. I think I might go for the 14 because it’s a newer device, but I’m also considering 13 to save some money.
@@silh3345 To me the the 14 is the same thing as the 13 the only difference is the Dynamic Island which is ok. To me it is kinda of like a gimmick but it does have its usefulness in certain situations.
I have xr for 1 year good phone for people not very much expecting performance but in all day use for me it’s still good phone i flipped to 13 some days ago and in this year in my opinion better buy then xr is 11 or 12 in my country is 300-400 zł morę then xr but xr is still in my heart

Same here. It has lasted since December 2018, but for the last year or so have I started to notice it decline unfortunately. It has definitely survived a lot of abuse though. It has withstood numerous drops onto concrete, gravel and ice with only a few scratches so it’s definitely a beast. When it was new the battery could last me nearly two days if I didn’t use it much through the day. It definitely doesn’t perform like it used to now that it’s getting old though, the battery only lasts me about half a day now in it has slowed down significantly the past year.
As sad as I am I know I have to let it go now so I’m trying to decide between the 13 and 14. The 13 would save me some money wich is a plus, but I can still afford the 14 too and it is a newer phone so the 14 is definitely a contender. Might have to see them both in store and hold them both in my hands and scroll around and maybe check out the cameras before I make up my mind.

I’ve had an XR since December 2018 and personally I have no major issues with it apart from the camera not being the best, but it is an older phone so it definitely doesn’t perform as well as the newer ones.
The XR sure is a sturdy beast though. Mine has withstood numerous drops on all kinds of terrains without shattering so in that aspect it’s pretty good. After 5 years of use the age is definitely showing though. Until last year it was performing great meaning it had about 4 years of functioning perfectly fine. But the past year it has declined significantly due to age and constant use both in terms of speed and battery life.
I’ve held onto my phone for as long as I could despite its declining, but at this point it is really in need of replacing so I’m trying to decide between the 13 and 14. I think I’ll need to have a look at them both in store and compare them both side by side myself before I make up my mind on wich one though.
