  • On episode from Wed 6th September 2023, one of the characters (Tyrone Dobb's mum Cassie, who is a drug addict, obtained some Pregabalin tablets from her dealer and swallowed several and subsequently overdosed and lost consciousness which required emergency medical intervention.
This consisted of local GP Dr Gaddas administering what she said was the antidote and ''will offset whatever she's taken''
I couldn't let this one slide, because as someone who loves pharmacology due to having a history with drug addiction and later drug use, (poly substance use & heroin addiction) I am well aware that this is medically inaccurate and therefore potentially dangerous to teenage viewers, especially if they misleadingly believe Naloxone will reverse Pregabalin and they decide to take some ''Pregabs'', as they are highly sought after for their sedating Mr Softy effects.
Let me know if you agree or disagree or think iv'e got it wrong somehow. Thanks.
