Cheers Sandman, I will admit I was a bit anxious, nervous and a tad scared.. but getting that done outweighed the thought of living like that for the rest of my life.
Have to do these things sometimes.
But I took it like a champ and am now healing before I make those goldfields cough up the goods.

Cheers Josip, feeling much better thanks mate. Slow and steady for the next 6 weeks as I now have 3 screws in my neck. So have to let them heal. Then I can start getting back to normal life.
Keen as to get out and have a swing as soon as the docs give me the all clear.

Thanks mate, as I showed at the end of the episode, the surgery went exceptionally well. I am pain free and have my coordination back.

Doubt anyone will find it in there. Barely anyone goes to that creek. Plus that grass is a nightmare to walk through being you can't see what's at your feet.
I'll find it soon with the boys, we will do a grid search with 5 strong lol.

Your creek looks exactly like my local area except my area is better for panning than it is for detecting.
Cheers ThatGuy, yeah healing really well mate. Only 12 days since I went in and I'm kickin goals. Just have to give it a few more weeks and I can start getting back into the swing of things.
Very possibly could be in your area. I hit a few different goldfields...
Generally that creek is way better to pan in than detect, but we had done well in the past. Had a few 1 gram days in there.

Ya you weren't kidding about loosing the pouch trying to test yourself against nature. Get whipped out dehydrated. Maybe one of the nasty hornets dragged off the pouch. I see you got lots of time laying around and watching everything else. You'll be up and moving in no time.
I'd like to see that river blowing threw as well. Maybe another time
Cheers Wade, if was a hell of a struggle mate. That hip high grass is evil. Add on a 33°c day with no clouds or breeze and that's a recipe for disaster.
Maybe your right mate. Those things are pretty damn tough, wouldn't suprise me.
Already up and at em, just keeping occupied by walks and watching videos. Hanging to see the doc to get the dressing changed I tell ya.
Next time we have a bit of rain I will head on down to see if I can witness it and get it recorded.
