I actually had a trombone book instead of a trumpet book for the first week of trumpet playing in 6th grade😭 it was so confusing when I read the notes "right" but everyone else was playing something different
@@Number1SteelersMeatrider Yeah I'm a freshman this year, I'll be playing second semester concert band. I did guard for marching band so it's too late to play trombone for that😅
I still can't tell if this is an extremely weird coincidence or a very clever flower husbands reference (Minecraft UA-cam stuff) even the text color is the same as their hair color o.o
as a sax player I still don't understand why bell instruments (clarinets, mellophones, trumpets) fit so perfectly on the ground, yet they don't belong there they stand up so well!!
Jimmy brought on some flashbacks, especially with that chipped reed. I absolutely hated when I sat between two best friends in Jr high band. They never removed their reeds. I was asked multiple times from both of them, "do you think that's mold or leftover lip gloss?" And the from beginner band and on (when we no longer had books, but printed out sheet music), people would store those in their cases. I never once thought about that being bad for the clarinet, just annoying to use after being bent.
“From the clarinet section” Me: sits up from my slouching cuz im a Bb clarinet in concert and marching band Anyway im sending this to my friend who is Bb bass clarinet in concert band but Bb clarinet in marching band
Sometimes it's easier to put on ligature AFTER reed, but making sure you don't hit your reed with the ligature. I usually press the back of the ligature against the mouthpiece to give the reed room as I'm putting it on, and especially with a leather ligature it's kinda hard to move the reed precisely 😅 If you can, adjust the reed while the ligature is on. But if you can't get it as precise as you need it just be careful and don't be afraid to loosen the screws.
As someone who has been playing clarinet for a decade, I must say that 8 do sometimes rest my bell on the ground (only with a hand on my instrument though)
And if you're a saxophone, it's neck, then mouthpiece, then ligature, then reed. This well prevent you from making your reed into toothpicks as well as breaking your octave mechanism.
As a clarinet player I don’t think I ever got my reed that chipped and once in my band we had this kid he would leave all the cork showing and he said I put it together but clearly you can’t grab it with out it falling apart lol but I love clarinet 💕
I put down my clarinet like jimmy so much so that I have a talent of catching falling clarinets, one time I was at a concert and the person next to me dropped their clarinet and I grabbed it before it hit the ground the way that person looked at me was pretty funny.
Few notes 1. I grew up in Arizona and we soak our reeds from the beginning of the class 2. ONE TURN ON THE LIGATURE 3. Change your reed jimmy 4. Yes we want you in the band we need everyone
as a flute player I wish they made that type of cleaner for flutes last time I messed up while cleaning and the stick broke so I had to buy a new one but I didn't notice it was too short and it got stuck in my flute
I can relate to this my friend is Jimmy and I'm Scott the good know what to do but not my friend and we have been playing clarinet for about 2 years...
I have done all of the incorrect things as a clarinet player. I play on a plastic reed now and I should take it off every day but I don’t because I hate having to put it back into perfect playing position. I am also less likely to chip it if I don’t remove it. It’s a personal preference
This was the scariest thing I’ve seen all day
FR 💀 I cringed SOOOOO bad when I saw that reed
“Very demure” 😂
Yeah
The Reed 😢💀
Sameee
JIMMY STOP RN THAT HURT MY SOUL THE POOR REED AND THE KEYS
The broken reed made me want to start crying

The trombone book is crazy😭
I actually had a trombone book instead of a trumpet book for the first week of trumpet playing in 6th grade😭 it was so confusing when I read the notes "right" but everyone else was playing something different
That's the same book I'm using to learn trombone rn so I recognized it instantly 😅😭

"Very mindful, very cutesy, very, demure" had me rolling 😂😂
Fr tho
I sent this to my band teacher and she loved it
@@no_one_cares_really haha that’s awesome. I love to hear it
Did you know I’m a band student

That reed hurt me physically, emotionally, and spiritually

Yessss Im a clarinet player and it hurt my soul to see the reed like that😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I’m cryin omg I haven’t ever seen a clarinet reed that bad before… it hurt me mentally, physically, and socially..
My reed daily:

@@Koolaidrizz yup Fr 😭I don’t use it tho, I have many new ones lol
As someone who played clarinet in elementary school, seeing Jimmy's chipped reed hurt me deeply.
that reed is from my nightmares after rehearsal 😭
i was laughing for so long 😂 the reed hurt tho 😭
Very mindful very cutesy very ✨Demure✨
I am a clarinetist, I’ve played for over 6 years, and I’ve performed across Europe. I still don’t own a clarinet stand😅

Trombone on top. 👌
My director would've stole Jimmy's left kidney
as a sax player I still don't understand why bell instruments (clarinets, mellophones, trumpets) fit so perfectly on the ground, yet they don't belong there they stand up so well!!
This is awesome😊
Scott and jimmy? Now where have i heard that before......
(Deal with destiny intensifies)

I play French horn and I NEED to see jimmy and Scott do my instrument
Scott is so demure & mindful
As a clarinet player this hurt to watch Jimmy’s side🥲

I am a clarinet player and this is very relatable ❤❤
Jimmy is so good he can read trombone music while playing clarinet
Ive been playing clarinet for YEARS and have always done reed then ligature, no wonder they always chip easy lol
I’m in percussion, BUT THAT FREAKING REED THOUGH 😭😭
I know, right?? I’m a flute player and I know reeds are not supposed to look like that!
I love playing clarinet
Very cutesie very demure,my whole band screamed that to our drum majors when we were getting trophys
I used to play clarinet. It was fun, but I kind of wish I went with percussion
went with piano and then percussion, oml it changed my life and opened the world of marching to me 😭😭
We have a very small band, and our single clarinet left :(

Would love to see the bass clarinet version of this except back when I was in school there were only the 2 of us and we were absolutely both Jimmy.
I’m concerned for jimmy’s future
I learned how to spin my clarinet from the color guard and I think my band director cried because of it
Im in 8th grade begining band and i just got gir my tenor
*cries in bass clarinet*
Ngl im jimmy because i just started so im still kinda learning but thanks for showing me what i should and shouldn't do

THE REED JIMMY THE REED…
This whole video physically, mentally, and emotionally hurt me😭
We use tradition of excellent in my band class too!
NOT THE JUNO REEDS AUGHHHH 😭😭😭
As a trombonist, I can confirm, all clarinet players need to keep a trombone book in their case at all times
The chipped reed 😭😭😭💀
Ligature then reed? I refuse
As a 5th grader that plays clarinet , Jimmy is hurting me
This was genuinely scary to watch
JIMMY NOOOOO😭😭😭
Very mindfull very cuties very demure . Its spreading 😂😆😄
Sending this to my friend😂 she plays the clarinet
As an alto sax player seeing that reed destroyed made me so mad

1. I grew up in Arizona and we soak our reeds from the beginning of the class
2. ONE TURN ON THE LIGATURE
3. Change your reed jimmy
4. Yes we want you in the band we need everyone
Is there a tuba version of these kind of videos? I love these!
that’s crazy. I’ve always done it reed then ligature and I’ve never had any issues.
JIMMY- WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR POOR REED😭

We want you in band, but maybe pick trumpet if you want to be a jimmy
In beginning band today we learned how to put our instrument together and my ass was sweating when putting my clarinet together 😭
Ohh do one for bass clarinets!
NAH BRO MY CLARINET SENSES ARE TINGLING!,1! when someone does this in our band we yell “SHAME”

NOOOOO SCOTT DON'T ASSEMBLE YOU CLARINET WITH THE CASE IN YOUR LAP NOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo(slowly fades out of existance)
As a Clarinet player I can say that reed is a fucking war veteran😭😭😭😭
THE REED 😭😭
In hs the sax section thought it would be a good idea to have their mouthpiece pre-set until that reeds warped😭
My band class uses the tradition of excellence books
I was expecting a GET OUT after he said very demure
Thank you for reminding me that I need to buy new reeds lol
