I first saw her singing "O Caro Mio Babbino" at an Andre Reiu concert in 2014 as a small child, she was amazing. She still is.
The title of the aria is "O mio babbino caro" (= My dear Daddy) and the name of the musician is André Rieu.

In this video AMIRA,is singing a classical song called DON'T CRY FOR ME ARGENTINA, and it brings back memories when I worked at THE RUSSIAN VODKA ROOM in midtown Manhattan, the restaurant wasn't open for breakfast or lunch, and the doors opened up at 5 pm,and in the front were huge containers of flavored Vodka and on the floor was a GRAND PIANO and sometimes there was a person singing, and if we didn't have any food orders in I would go out and watch their performances, I loved it because I didn't pay for anything, it was a freebie, at the end, where the kitchen closed, I told the waiter to get a round of beer for the kitchen crew,the owners didn't mind at all, just like when I worked at two different hotels, it's very customary in any kitchen that I have worked in, it's their way of saying THANK YOU KITCHEN CREW,JOB WELL DONE.

Impressive ..especially considering english is not her first language. I think she is able to speak at least 3-4 languages.
Amira is fluent in 3 languages: Dutch, which is her native language, Afrikaans, which is her everyday language since she emigrated to South Africa 7 years ago, and English. Since South Africa has 11 official languages English is the one language that most children learn from primary school. At her school in the Netherlands she also learned a bit of Latin and French and in the meanwhile she might have some knowledge in Italian because most opera arias are written in this beautiful language.

French is our First Language. And this Start in the 4 Class. I remember the 1 Sentence we had to learn that Jacques auf der Wiese stand. Wirklich sehr sinnvoll. After the 6 th Class -you Go to middle school.and than o Horror we also have to learn German and englisch. No way out. They tell you that we Are a small country and in the Minute you leave the country Nobody will understand you. Thomas Mann Books were a Night mere. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,wurde And than you had to reread the Page because you loose Track. Amira ist The best . No way. I quess the school system Meanwhile changed. But at that time …

I have always liked Amira ever since seeing her on Holland's Got Talent. This was a nice performance. The only issue I have is that when a singer is performing in a language they do not speak , it is very difficult to get the emotion into the lyrics. It would be interesting if the song was translated to a language the singer is comfortable speaking if they could get more of the emotion.
Very weird comment, since Amira is absolutely fluent in English.
Even is she wasn't fluent she would have studied and translated every line and the meaning. Besides the voice that depth and connection is one of her major assets.

O man. This is STUNNING. Amira really brings this song to life again. She,s so good.
Too much vibrato.
Ze heeft zeker een mooie stem, maar ik ben niet zo zeker over haar techniek. Haar stem klinkt vlak, timbre lijkt niet voldoende ontwikkeld, ademhaling.
Als zij met dit materiaal lessen zou nemen zou je naar mijn mening een veel mooier geluid horen.
Luister eerst maar eens naar haar Gesu Bambino version versie. Kijken of u dan nog steeds dezelfde mening aanhangt. Amira heeft zeer goede zang docenten. Haar stem geluid is uniek. Daarbij zie ik zeer veel politiek correct getrainde opera zangers en zangeressen die allemaal zo,n beetje hetzelfde klinken en duidelijk dezelfde technieken gebruiken en dat is te horen ook. Er zit niets in , alleen zoveel mogelijk techniek in één lied stoppen, sorry maar het is inhoudsloos, of zoals men ook wel zegt " no feelings what so ever". Amira echter doet met haar stem en zang precies waar muziek voor bedoeld is, het raken van harten en zielen. Vandaar dat Amira al meer dan een miljard views en likes voor haar UA-cam video,s heeft.

The song was first released by Julie Covington in 1976. She was the first to play the role of Evita in the musical. Elaine Paige followed later, and many others covered this song. In 1996, Madonna played the role of Evita in the movie and released her rendition. And imo Amira's voice is the most beautiful of them all.
