After a months long hiatus, The Unabridged Gamer returns with... an Army of TWO game?!!

I played army of two in my ps3 with my friend back then, as a little boy I never know about the bad ratings on metacritics, all I know is this game made our day back then.
I hear you. I've also been told over the years that a lot of folks bonded with their future spouses while playing!

Played through these games with my uncle when I was younger, I dont remember anything but the customisation and explosions. 10/10

All EA has to do is update these games with the Dead Space Remake engine and release it as a trilogy costing $40 after that release an actual 4th game with gears style fighting and length.
I get how that might sound simple but even just going from one version to another of Frostbite broken 75% of the assets for Battlefront when DICE, the creators of the engine, tried to import old content into Battlefront II (2017).
Plus, not all of them are made in the same engine, so that'd be a bit of a nightmare for the software engineers. That would balloon the cost significantly.
And while I agree that Gears 4-5 are outstanding shooters, they're not really the vibe Army of TWO was ever going for. I'd personally go in the other direction - take after Stranglehold and amp up the intensity. You could have some wild stylizations like in WET for good measure.

Kudos from Ukraine. My friend was obsessed with that game. That weapon editor is something that still not exist on most games.

And good news - Unreal just gave out a free blueprint on their marketplace for gun customization like this, so hopefully we see more weapon modding in some indie shooters in the horizon! In the meantime, I’m told Cultic has some pretty cool upgrades you can play around with even for your pistol.

EA cares more about milking their "live service" games for every penny they can, if they would make a new army of two game it would be monetized out of this world
I’m told that despite the reception, Devil’s Cartel did sell decently, so… there’s always a chance it might get a reprisal some day. In the meantime, have you tried Black Ops 3? I’ve got a video on that and its coop modes (multiple!) are fantastic!
