The headquarters of the NATO force command will be located in Poland. The USA, through the hard work of the Polish government, decided to transfer the main command of NATO forces to Poland. A period begins when Germany and France play a smaller and smaller role in the command of Europe. An alliance cannot be led by someone who is a coward, bribed by Putin, thinking only about his own country instead of the security of the alliance, just like the Germans, who think only about their own business, and as Boris Johnsoniuk once said that Macron and scholz were waiting for the Russians to capture Kiev, that's why they didn't even want to send bulletproof vests and helmets because they hoped the Kremlin would install a puppet government in Kiev still Germany and France would do business with Russia

    • @silversurfer8278
      @silversurfer8278 Рік тому

SCF, you make some pretty glib comments there about Germany & France, and as a Brit, from long experience, I would not take anything that Boris Johnson said to be necessarily reliable or accurate. I think that the biggest issues here were (a) that until a few weeks before Russia's invasion, the governments of the West just did not believe that Putin would do it, and (b) then, too late, realising the size of the Russian forces amassed against Ukraine, it was hard to believe that they could survive the initial attack. Okay, we all grossly underestimated the courage, determination and professionalism of the Ukrainian forces and people, and the courage and charisma of their leader Zelenskyy; and we did not expect the initial Russian invasion to be so incompetent and badly organised. Since that time - and whatever apparent public stance the German and French leadership took - in the background, both countries have been doing an enormous amount financially, militarily and by hosting refugees, to help Ukraine. Germany also had to be very careful not to play into Putin's "Nazis in Ukraine" mythology, and we should be sensitive to that concern.
That said, NATO is now awake and fully appreciates that this invasion of Ukraine was likely a longer-term stepping stone towards the conquest or subjugation of much of the former USSR. After Ukraine and Moldova (which we saw was also in Putin's plans, as shown publicly by Lukashenko) in a few years the Baltic States and Poland would have been next in line to be attacked. Germany and France however, are NOT on the front line. The decision to relocate European NATO headquarters into Poland not only aids military support to Ukraine to defend itself against Putin's invasion, but it also puts a clear marker in the sand that, if Putin starts doing anything aggressive to Poland, he will be countered by the full NATO alliance. In that sense, it should be a great deterrent.
Frankly, the West has to galvanise all of its forces, not just militarily, but also to fight the creeping corruption of some of our media channels and social media content, and those related channels in Africa, parts of South America and parts of Asia-Pacific, by Russian money as part of Putin's grand plan to globally undermine the Democracies with a sea of disinformation. Example: Why is the Fox "News" (I interpret the term "News" with the same fiction as that channel does) so pro-Russian? I cannot understand that, unless there is some convoluted route by which Russian FSB funding flows into Fox and Rupert Murdoch's empire. We really need to unravel and expose these links, as I am sure that our intelligence services are actively doing.

Bad times for uk comming. Even USA president hates you and he isnt hiding it even . In 10 years I think Uk will be most hated in world.
Just look at British museum . Most things are stolen from other countries.
I’m just laughing now when suddenly loads of brits are so pro Polish . We do remember times before brexit and we won’t forget about it.
Well anyway you have a bigger issue like France . 1 million net migration a year from non European countries. Ppl with different mentality. They don’t care about human life . And who’s mayor of London or Pm .
I tell you a story from my wifes friend. She got a daughter. 8 year old and she was arguing with other kid ( Asian ) in school . Next day he brought knife to school .
I wonder who taught him this . Who gave him this example.
So now imagine in bigger cities like Nottingham / Bradford/ / Peterborough and few more . locals are minority now . Funniest thing that most won’t be even able to run as I only meet 4 brits in my life that knewed different language than English.

Many citizens of Western countries do not realize that their economic success comes at the cost of people's lives in other countries. For me, as a Pole, it is important that Poland develops, but not at the expense of others. Unfortunately, not everyone thinks so. As evidenced by the business with the criminal Putin. That's why I don't wish anyone bad and I would like people in Western Europe to think the same, instead of being ignorant and hypocritical towards others. Don't look down on Poles and others. They too have a right to live. I know that everything changes and new generations look at it differently. But I repeat, it is impossible to build common European security without a fair division. It cannot be that some in Europe will live in prosperity and others in poverty. I know it's just a dream, because unfortunately, people are angry and constantly compete with each other.
Anyway, my country has been destroyed and rebuilt over and over again for generations. That is why it deserves to finally be able to develop stably and that is what it wants for its compatriots. That's all.
Thank you my friend for the materials and for such kind words about my country. I hope that over time everything will normalize and that Europe will develop in the right direction. This is what I wish for you and everyone. Regards. 😉

Poland's leaders have obviously been making really smart decisions regarding how they spend their money, but with all the defence contractors and multi-nationals tech companies etc, it may lead to more lobbyists pressuring the leaders to make bad decisions. Poland's average household will economically catch-up with the UK in terms of GDP per person by the end of this decade by 2030.
This shouldn’t be a surprise: the country is set to catch up economically with the UK and other Western countries by the end of the decade. Warsaw, in particular, has developed good economic policies that have made Poland an economic success story and has become a hub of economic activity in recent years, with multinational companies such as Microsoft, Google, and Nvidia attracted by the educated workforce, and relatively low cost of living and labour costs.
Poland deserves to become Europe's next economic and military power not only for its hard work in developing it's growing economy but also given its history.

If you go to a less popular place these things will cost you 10-12 zlotys. Inflation, on the other hand, is a serious issue here, too - it is over 35% in the last 2 years. As for the highly skilled workforce - Universities in Poland have less "modern" students who spend more time being offended by everything and everyone than studying. Plus - free higher education .

I am very happy to see Poland growing economically. But I know as well it's easier to grow rapidly in the initial and middle part of a country's development than sustaining that growth at a later stage. Countries which grow just 1% per year, but do it for over 20-30 years are to me the ones to look at and learn from.
Poland still will be growing rapidly for some time as there are still plenty of capacity in our economy but we will hit the ceiling at some point, and this moment will prove how economically mature we are as a nation.

The history of Poland didn't start in 1939 or 1989.and I see lots of weird stereotypes about Poland in this video. For example, Poland used to be an agricultural superpower, but it was a few centuries ago, long before the industrial revolution, when the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (consisting of what is now Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, some 90% of Ukraine, a part of present-day Russia etc. ) was the main exporter of grain etc for all European markets. Nowadays, however, agriculture contributes only 2% to Poland'd GDP, while the vast part of our GDP (57%) comes from the service sector, and the share of manufacturing/industry is 28%.
Or: in 1930's, when Poland was still recovering from the huge losses suffered during WW1, it was on the same level of economic development as, say, Spain. And we didn't have a chance to recover after WW2, when the Soviet Union ruined and controlled over all aspects of Poland's public life, including economy and culture; for example, they didn't allow Poland to accept funds under the American Economic Recovery Act (aka Marshall Plan), but they "kindly allowed us" to spend billions of dollars/pounds/ zlotys/'rubbles'/whatever every year to build and maintain the second-largest army in what was called the Eastern Block, so that one day the Soviet Empire could expand to the whole world. Etc.
Now, when Poland is again part of the Western world (yes - if you call us Eastern Europe, we will probably think that you are either ignorant or arrogant :D ), it is only natural that some day we will exceed countries like the UK. Provided that we don't give in to some dictator (like Adolf Putin) or his populist puppets (like our local version of Nigel Farage or Donald Trump xD),. As to Poland being "cheap", think of 2 islands: the currency on Island A is Blue Seashell, while on Island B it's Yellow Seashell. On both islands, the average salary is 7,000 seashells per month, and the same amount of seashells is needed to achieve the same standard of living. The problem (from the point of view of people living on Island B) is the exchange rate is 1 green seashell = 5 yellow seashells...

Most of the price jump you've mentioned is caused by Russian invasion resulting in (mainly, but no only) fuel prices going higher, which made everything more expensive (cause everything need to be transported, duh, + most of electricity and heating comes from fossil fuels in Poland further increasing prices in services sector); covid-related problems added it part too. Therefore this rise of prices isn't the sign of country economic growth, quite the opposite (inflation over 3-4% is bad in general, as it means money isn't worth much, especially if you want to import something).
