Mickaël Mtp he’s speaking of the average person who will just go along with the narratives to keep a job in the establishment machine. In the 70’s and 80’s Sowell was regularly invited to Congress/Senate hearings and William F Buckley’s show on network TV. He repeatedly proved neoliberal policies wrong by debating with real numbers and real statistics. When Sowell saw very little was done to change bad bureaucratic policies he chose to not be part of that backwardly flawed reward system. He stayed in academia. They should be teaching kids right from a Thomas Sowell textbook by now.

When this interview took place in 1995, most of us hadn't heard much about "diversity" being of the utmost importance, etc. Rose uses the word when justifying our top universities admitting foreigners (at the expense of Americans).
Dr. Sowell immediately jumped on (not in a nice way) the whole silly idea of diversity. He always believed in merit. He is a great man, a great educator, and one of the most important minds this nation has ever produced.
And most people on the left have never heard of him. (Probably on the right, too.)

On the contrary; Rose is precisely the type we need to have sit across from us-in the flesh, face to face: accountable-so that, like Sowell, we can see to it that these advocates and activists on the Left encounter the facts and the logic that put them at odds not merely with us traditional conservatives but just as well with nature, with history, with basic arithmetic, with the principles of science and the irrevocable laws that govern the universe; and, in this way, force the likes of Rose to reckon with the reality of things and truth itself.

While I'm a big fan of Dr Sowell, and an economics major, Sowell himself stated he did not feel he'd be effective in government. We are in a fight, and one that has been coming as they prepared since at least the end of WW II, for a communist takeover of America (read Paul Kengor) and we do not need a man leading us of purely intellectual capacity against a brainwashed nation. We need a self-confident loudmouth who was not taken down by The Swamp. Ike needed Patton because he was a great general, despite his antics. Regardless of ruffling feathers, only a Trump win in 2024 may stop these communists running the Democrat party who have Pravda on their side. America is falling and only Trump has the power and the stones to tell our enemies, foreign and domestic, what they really are. And we need more Republican officials to grow a pair. Guys like McConnell and Jeff Sessions need not apply.
