Either way, the scoring for these events should be explained to new viewers. Some of them may even tune in late and miss the opening explanation so it should be brought up again.
If you are a professional commentator, make an effort to pronounce names properly. I'm talking about the man who couldn't pronounce Shiraishi. Professionalism, please!
The entire climbing community mispronounced her name for more than half a decade. I remember the moment when someone bothered to ask her how it was actually pronounced and we all went "oh..."
She's better than this one male commentator I watched the other day. He literally did not know anything. He was totally useless besides asking questions. I felt bad for his partner; she knew her stuff.
I love how diversely each climber figures out stuff it’s so interesting watching it
I hate when you can't watch every athlete on each Boulder. You miss so many good moments when they do it this way.
I know! Especially when you want to follow one particular athlete and their style for certain situations
my hands get so sweaty when i watch climbing idek why
Me too. For me it's my legs.
3am can't sleep an come cross this, what a random video
17:49 are all these not false starts? is it not 2 points of contact on each ?
"that's ashima shirashi"
"shireeeeeshi"
Me: shirAIshi
what is this camera work... you guys could tell the editor to edit it so we can see all athletes.
Who is the voice "encouraging" the climbers? It seems more like he is distracting them.
World's most distracting music
where is Ashima?
Female commentator taught the male one how to mispronounce shiraishi as shirishi
she corrected her pronunciation in the final round
Thanks for pointing this out. Hopefully all of the ass hats ragging on the CC guy will feel ashamed now.
Male commentator: Sheer-ah-she
Female commentator: Sheer-ee-she
Ashima: "FOR FUCK SAKE, ITS SHEER-AH-EE-SHEE!!"
Please tell the male commentator that boulder problems are not obstacles.
In another video, he keeps calling tops "summits." It's cringy, but I get it. The IFSC commentators are leagues better.
Lmao. I what like *what*
why does he keep explaining how counting works?
He's normally a crossfit commentator, not rock climbing

I don't know dude, I too tend to make "oof" noises too when I see people fall off a route.

She actually climbs! She comments as if she was just in the gym watching, the male commentator is difficult to listen to
Meagan Martin´s unbearable voice. Put mute mode once she began commenting
Stop hating get the hell out of here
Meagan Martin's "unbearable" voice is a lot better than the male commentator's complete inability to get ANYTHING right
