Magic Marty strikes again. Thanks for all the Video's that You posted during the year and I wish You and the Family all the Very Best for Christmas and the New Year Marty - Have a Good one Mate.
Sounds pretty sweet. My dad had a David Brown with a hydraulic front bucket. I used to nip down the drive to 'check the mailbox' on occasion... gave it all the onions a few times. Thanks for the upload Marty 🙂
Another tractor rescue. Thank you Marty, it has been so long I was having withdrawal symptoms. Now let’s see, the next video will be doing overdue maintenance and changing fluids and filters. Anxiously waiting for my next fix.
Another 'jungle rock' Marty. Love these finds. You'll have her all fixed up in no time. Best wishes to you and your family for the festive period. 🏴🇬🇧
That must of been a tuff couple of hours work dragging that out of the Bush in that heat. That block and tackle looked bloody heavy. Fair play Marty, and thanks, really enjoyed that.
Cheers for that mighty little winch. You've had some very useful assistance out of that restoration project. Another fine video Marty. Thank you for all your efforts. Wishing your and yours all the best for the festive season. Cheers from across the ditch.
Ahh . Sir Marty T Attenbourough searches the vast jungle of sth New Zealand for a near extinct Brown 1990 . Upon discovery, the professor can with genetic mechanical knowledge bring it back not only from the brink , but actually back to living it's best life today , God bless the professor, merry Christmas mate to you the missis n family, from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
I have a 1950 Allis Chalmers WD that the starter has been giving me fits. It looks just like that one you took apart. I appreciate you explaining all the way they can fail. I've had mine apart before but learned quite a bit from your explanations. I always love the videos, Marty. Thanks for another great one. Merry Christmas to all the T's.
A nice pleasant Friday night surprise. A MartyT episode of him rescuing another David Brown tractor. With a bonus dozer blade on the front. I've absolutely no doubt that he'll get the hydrolics working in the next episode.
Hi Merty always amazes me these old machines sitting in the paddock for 20 years, plus always run or most of them can’t imagine the new vehicles today, sitting around for 20 years and then a fire at probably rust away before that happens. Keep up the good work
These are the videos that made me subscribe to your channel from the beginning. I got hooked on your work, it's a pleasure to see. Greetings, I hope you're well.
Marty you must have a very understanding and tolerant wife. I can imagine most women would be thinking 'what the hell has he brought home now?'. A good keen girl alright. All the best for Xmas and 2025.
it is awesome seeing you finding these machines and giving them some love to see them come back to life. I hope you can figure out the hydro issue. Thanks for the video.
I never doubted that it would start Marty, you gave it your "magic touch". Another old piece of machinery lives to work another day. There seems to be a fair bit of abandoned machinery in the bush over there, keep on rounding it up, that's good for the environment.😂
Used a 990 back in the 80's when orchard working in Brightwater. Didn't have the blade on the front though. Watching this bought back some happy memories from those days. Would love to take one for another blast. Another magic find Marty, looking forward to part two 👍. Cheers Pete' Hokitika.
There used to be one of these and a saw bench abandoned in the woods when I was a youngling. Used to play on it for hours and came home with black hands due to the perished rubber off the steering wheel. Innocent times😊
Every time I watch Marty bring back one of these mechanical dinosaurs back to life by just doing basic due diligence, it makes me wonder why couldn't the other guys do the same?
Fascinating to see you perform the transformation from forlorn forgotten scrap to running machine. Thank you for these videos, Marty, and Happy Christmas and New Year to you and your family. Glad we don’t have your sort of spider here on Vancouver Island.
Nice rescue Marty. RE the front blade, on my DB 885 once the correct output was selected on the valve block on the left hand side the 3PL linkage controls had to be set to draught mode and the depth lever set to all the way down. However the 3PL controls on your 990 are a bit different to what mine where. Also note if that engine is the same basic design as my 885 then it is a sleeveless engine with the cylinders bored straight in to the cast iron block. You must run antifreeze/anticorrosion in these or you will pinhole through from the combustion chambers to the water jacket. This is an expensive repair as the cylinders have to be bored out and special sleeves fitted. Not cheap as I had to get it done on mine. Engine will also run hotter than normal after it is sleeved.
Absolutely fantastic. I love everything you do Marty. When are you going to stop teasing us with short glimpses of the Audi Allroad and get that baby going? 😅
Ha, I wish I had your talent for bleeding engines properly. I've got an old sailboat engine that made the mistake of not fully tightening the fuel tank cap and I've been on and off trying to properly bleed the fuel system, at least I know roughly where my problem is. Keep it up!
Merry Christmas down there to you and yours Mart. All the best. This will be our last Christmas here, we are going back to the Philippines during the last quarter of 2025. Will be still following your very interesting vlog when i'm over there. Bob.
Happy Christmas Marty,to you and your family, best wishes for the new year, keep the repairs coming, your good for plenty more to come, the old iron is screaming out for you, 👍
Bitten by a spider!....that would still be buried in that brush along with my tools and camera.......great content all year....thanks. Have a great xmas and prosperous new year.
I am now thinking of wandering in the forest and wetlands in search of an abandoned tractor. Or maybe an unhappy one that merely ran away. I doubt it would still run, but it might be fun to just find one.
Hell yeah, new Marty video to watch with dinner. Cheers mate
Bedtime here, guess I'll have to sleep later 😂
Breakfast for me
Magic Marty strikes again. Thanks for all the Video's that You posted during the year and I wish You and the Family all the Very Best for Christmas and the New Year Marty - Have a Good one Mate.
There is definitely something special about these jungle finds. It does not get better than this!
Love seeing that come-along that you rebuilt!! Works like a champ.
Thank you for making these videos Marty. I love how you see the value in these old machines and put them back to work.
So excited you found another abandoned tractor and you did not disappoint :) love to hear the dead roar back to life :)
Matty T saviour of old Brown David's left in the bush. Merry Christmas
Sounds pretty sweet. My dad had a David Brown with a hydraulic front bucket. I used to nip down the drive to 'check the mailbox' on occasion... gave it all the onions a few times. Thanks for the upload Marty 🙂
Yes it will start! I have faith in Marty T, even if I am only at 0:07. Merry Christmas everyone.
Merry Christmas Marty , have a safe & prosperous new year 😎
Another tractor rescue. Thank you Marty, it has been so long I was having withdrawal symptoms. Now let’s see, the next video will be doing overdue maintenance and changing fluids and filters. Anxiously waiting for my next fix.
Good to see another David Brown, you’ve done a few of those over the years. Hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday!
Another 'jungle rock' Marty.
Love these finds.
You'll have her all fixed up in no time.
Best wishes to you and your family for the festive period.

David Brown? Virtually James Bond's car!! (DB5)🤣🤣
Your grin when the old girl came to life, almost as broad as your skill set! Another great job sir!

Experience, patience, and perseverance. You've got them in spades Marty, well done.
These are the videos that made me subscribe to your channel from the beginning. I got hooked on your work, it's a pleasure to see. Greetings, I hope you're well.
I did not think that was going to turn out to be one of your better finds!
That makes 2 of us, I was almost ready to walk away from it after winching for an hour
Great to see you back again in recovery, Merry Christmas to you & Mrs Marty.
Nothing quite so satisfying as to see the o;d beast start up and run like it was just turned off... Excellent score..
Marty you must have a very understanding and tolerant wife. I can imagine most women would be thinking 'what the hell has he brought home now?'. A good keen girl alright. All the best for Xmas and 2025.
I remember when (a couple of years ago) she told him 'No more tractors', that didn't last.
@@unclegreybeard3969 😄
@@unclegreybeard3969 Ha ha ha!
She used to be like that, but Marty fixed her
They know that playing with tractors is about the least amount of trouble we will get into ! to be tolerated if not encouraged !!
Another David Brown to the fleet, she sounds good too.
Interesting, to see the starter brushes getting the good old Burt Munro pedicure!
Outstanding and awesome content as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along.
Marty the Diesel whisperer for sure !!!
“Huge spider bit me on the neck”
Yeah you took that way better than I would’ve 😂
Luckily our spiders in NZ are pretty harmless, some bite but not many are venomous
From Texas in the US. Our spiders don’t do much either but I like them not doing much from a distance still
Yes finally a new vid!!!! Happy holidays from Sweden
Machines coming back to life, That's the best!
It amazes me that something that sits for 20 or more years can still run if you give it the time to fix it
These old David browns were built to last
Another classic episode - just in time for Christmas.
it is awesome seeing you finding these machines and giving them some love to see them come back to life. I hope you can figure out the hydro issue. Thanks for the video.
What a great video to start my holidays ! a bit of restoration, education and inspiration. Really enjoyed this one, Merry christmas !
Yes! Another most excellent flick for the morning coffee!
I never doubted that it would start Marty, you gave it your "magic touch". Another old piece of machinery lives to work another day. There seems to be a fair bit of abandoned machinery in the bush over there, keep on rounding it up, that's good for the environment.😂
Man I could find a four year old tractor that's been sitting for two weeks, and would not have the luck you do 😅😅 Great job!!
Used a 990 back in the 80's when orchard working in Brightwater. Didn't have the blade on the front though. Watching this bought back some happy memories from those days. Would love to take one for another blast. Another magic find Marty, looking forward to part two 👍.
Cheers
Pete' Hokitika.
They're pretty bulletproof old tractors.. I thought this one was only good for parts, surprised it started so easily
Love it Marty what a beast, another one saved..have a fabulous Christmas mate.
You're pretty well the master of David Brown machines at this point😅
There used to be one of these and a saw bench abandoned in the woods when I was a youngling. Used to play on it for hours and came home with black hands due to the perished rubber off the steering wheel. Innocent times😊
Love it when you're looking for another project. I'm looking forward to the next video. Merry Christmas to you and the family. Cheers
