Yoshi's Story is a quick 30 minute game with lots of replay value. There's a total of 6 chapters which each feature 4 stages to choose from, but you only get to play one of them during each playthrough. The game will always allow you to play the first stage of every chapter, but depending on how many Special Hearts you collected in the previous stage you'll get to choose between more stages in the following chapter (one special heart is two stages, two special hearts is three stages, three special hearts is all four stages). This video features four different playthroughs in which I play all four of the different stages for each chapter. I don't collect more special hearts than is necessary, so this video doesn't serve as a guide for those. I also didn't go for an "all-melon" run, because it's not part of casual gameplay. The melons give the highest points and if you're hardcore about the game you could try and complete each stage by collecting only melons and not any of the other fruits. In this video I just collect whatever fruits I find, but sometimes I postpone level completion just to showcase a bit more of the stage. The stage ends when enough fruits are collected, so in some cases you can achieve that whilst only having seen a quarter of the stage. The previous video had over 600,000 views and loads of comments.. I'd much appreciate it if you could leave a like & comment here to help the algorithm! You can also head over to the old video to read some of the other comments: ua-cam.com/video/XulvqhPKhrM/v-deo.html
One of my favorite parts about this game is to pick a Yoshi that fits the vibe of each level (ex. Pink Yoshi for Cloud Cruising, Yellow Yoshi for Jungle Hut) Thank you for a great playthrough 💚
I remember playing this with my brother n cousins, then went to the store for groceries n saw a Yoshi's story book n it gave away the secrets where the melons were n how to do the game correctly boy those were the times where life was life n stress free
I absolutely love Yoshi!!!!! Sorry mario, but I STAND WITH MY BOY YOSHI!!!!!! This is a classic i like getting some better recognition today than in the past. Nothing better than to play this game and always brought a smile to my face without fail! Also i will make sure each yoshi makes it through as the game over really gives me a gut punch. Great video!!!!!!
Yoshi ate whatever some fruits were called lucky fruit u eat one refill the flower,(flower is yoshi life by the way) unless u fall off the cliff n can't get back up
Red Yoshi was my favorite of them all along with Black Yoshi. I wish they made it so that if the big fish eat Yoshi, he could fight his way out by giving the fish severe stomach pain that it spits him out rather than instant death.
Using my own copy of this game, I try to collect all the coins in every level by all 6 pages to obtain the Purple Yoshi, but it doesn't seem to work to me.
Cloud N Candy is, easily, one of, if not, the easiest boss i ever seen. Everytime you "hurt" him, you healing yourself. You have to be the worst player in universe to die at him.

The easiest game of all time: Yoshi’s Story! At least the game is pretty good! There are much better Yoshi games than this but, at least give it a chance!
This was one of my first Nintendo 64 games along with Super Mario 64. My uncle only played this over and over. I have to admit i kinda hate this game. Its frustrating especially due to the unresponsive Analog Stick Controls, the whole style and aestethics are annoying af, the gameplay is just a nerve wrecking search for fruits which is getting tedious very fast. But iam not a big of Fan of the Yoshi Games or Yoshi in himself in general.
I agree actually! I didn't look forward to re-doing this game at all for those reasons. The gameplay somehow leaves me very nervous and I can imagine it being even worse if you were to attempt an all-melon run. This game is much more fun when viewed than it is played
@@longplayarchive I tried all-Melon run but simply failed. The only positive thing about this game is the music. There are some really cool Tracks some of them beeing pretty creative like the one in Piranha grove.

actually, there's 4 chapters and 6 levels each chapter and the chapter number and level number places in number switch places stupidly

Thank you for doing this game, again. This is one of my childhood game's & a real treasure of mine.
Yoshis are just like puppies, kittens or playful rugrats. They just cheer you up when you are down.
@@craiglanyon7752 I see your point, yeah.
Same, bro.
I've always loved the sound Yoshi makes when he does his little flutter jumps.
1998 was definitely a great year for video games
This game it's so wholesome!
Yoshis are the anime version of puppy dogs. They are cute. 😊
I love this classic game and the video quality. I can always feel happy while playing it.
Yoshis are cuter than puppies or kittens sometimes
10:58 - “Hmmm?”
I loved whenever the Yoshis did that. 😆
Oh when he cheers after eating a favorite fruit. ❤
@@DropkickNation This is one of the most adorable games. 💛
@@Flowerbarrel I agree. Not a cuter game on the planet. 😍 Even cutest Yoshi game.

March 1st!?🤯 Happy belated anniversary, Yoshi's Story!!...... Also, 1:08:46-1:08:48 LOL!!😂🤣
I love this videogame.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Love that game
Shouldn't Yoshi be eating melons 🍈 without eating other fruits 🍉 🍇🍌 🍎?
They could make melon pie for dinner, then fruit salad with the other fruits for dessert.

La estética de éste juego es bellísima y el canto de los Yoshis hace que muera de ternura.

That would be interesting.
This game was possibly a prequel to Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
Excellent game play
I miss playing this game I remember you can play both the white and black yoshi, black yoshi can eat the red pepper

Besides Yoshi's Island and Wolly World, this game looks great for an N64 tilte... Only beated once, though.

Both PixelFX or UltraHDMI mods are capable of that, or Ares64 emulation
