Donkeys are good for protecting too!
Bryson... the turkey magnet 😂😂😂😂
Donkeys are great protectors also
Please come back once a week🤗
Give Elvis a bath with tomato's 🍅!! The stink goes away! I had to do it with our bull dog!!
Tomato Sauce 🥫
I had a shitzu that got sprayed. A bathtub of tomato juice and well ventilated area. Help him or skunks won’t be something he goes after if he catches too much negativity from his pack. He helped you. Now you help him.
Call your vet, they can steer you to a product which will help, but I don't think it's 100% effective. I know the tomato juice is no where near 50% effective; my two cents!
Yes it works
Still one of my favourite UA-cam vlogs.
YES 🙌🏻 mine too!!💝
Mine too
I love your family and this great channel. Thank you for staying
Please bring back the longer videos 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰🥰🥰🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
From 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺 too😊😊😊
Love seeing this Video showing the animals.
You are very lucky indeedy to have a Bryson and a Jarrod on hand for any and all situations on your homestead... keep up the great work guys, look forward to your video's... God Bless your family 💜
FYI, the goats will separate that fence panel you wired to the post within a few years. I recommend you use a much heavier gauge wire and wrap it around the post. When I built my goat pen with cattle panels, I butted the ends of the panels together and used hog rings to hold them together. The goats managed to separate them in just a few years, so I wired them together. That lasted longer, but they still managed to separate them. I started overlapping the panels so the connections were reinforced. You might want to use any leftover panels to reinforce those joints. It's amazing how hard on fences the goats can be.
We've had a few rattlesnakes show up on our property here in the S.NV Mojave desert. We have one acre fenced of our 5 that I've been strengthening and raising the height. That for security and to keep our Great Pyrenees inside. Last summer a sidewinder was inside our "common area". Since I was away working, we had our neighbor come by and "take care of it". He deposited it in the vacant desert outside of our property. Lo and behold, Zombie rattlesnakes do exist!! This thing resurrected with it's head hanging on by a thread and made its way half way through our 1/2" hardware cloth fencing and then expired there. I would never have believed it if my wife did not catch it on video. So now I'm most of the way through putting 1/4" hardware cloth around the perimeter of the one acre, recessing it below ground and wiring it to the existing fence. I did 500' with 24" tall wire but have now switch to 48" tall. I'm hoping that they won't try to crawl over the shorter fence but I reckon that we will see. No worries about the coyotes, though. Do-gee takes his job seriously while the Labrador runs to us nervous and whining. But I love the desert life. Wouldn't want it any different.
I find it marvelous that your family continues to thrive on, despite the fact you lost your incredible husband, father, grandfather, and father-in-law.
Thank you for sharing! Great to see you all!🤗
Love this. Thank you guys for being real. I haven’t owned a television for years now because it’s all lies. I’ve found a few of these UA-cam channels give me wholesome vibes. ❤❤❤
❤ totally agree w u
My favorite I miss u guys.......u all feel like home🤗
Lol! Bryson....The Turkey Whisperer...no turkeys left behind!😂 Great farm and its so beautiful 🤩 Thanks guys for sharing your adventures. Looking forward to the next visit🤗
Thank you for sharing your livestock and how you gated the common area.
I'm so happy to see that y'all have kept the picture with your dad in it at the end of your video's, that's so wonderful I will never forget him. Love you guys, be safe and blessed for the holidays.
the animals are so cute!!!!!
added layer of protection for the perimeter fence is to bury chicken wire along the fence line to discourage predictors from digging under.
Loved every minute of this video.
Wishing your family a happy holiday season
Love watching you guys
PEACE
Always so awesome to see the progress you guy's rock. Love how the turkeys just love Bry like we all do ❤
So good to see you guys, always enjoy the new projects ❤
Haven’t seen you guys for a while. Things are looking great!
Weird fact that I learned in a “Chicken 101” class (at the local hardware store), is that chickens 🐓 roost in trees 🌳. However, the weird fact is that bobcats will climb up the tree and push them out so that the larger predators can eat them instead of the bobcats 😳🤯!!! Another thing I learned, is that raccoons 🦝 can reach through chicken wire and so, they recommend hardware cloth instead .
I am so happy to see a notification from you all! It makes my DAY ❤! You all are so amazing 🤩!! Thank you 🙏🏻 💝!
I’m sorry I comment while I’m watching the video 🤭…but hey it helps the algorithm, right 😂?!? I was going to ask about solar powered electric ⚡️ fence and lo and behold here’s an electric fence!😂
I love to see animals free to roam and you're doing everything you can to keep them safe, someone mentioned a donkey but you'd need more than one, wishing you a happy holiday for xmas
LOVE YOU GUYS!
Just one more 🤦🏻♀️…then I’ll move on to another video 😂…here in North Carolina we have skunks 🦨 as well, and it sounds like Elvis could use a tomato 🍅 juice bath 🛁!
🫶🏻you all! Hugs and see y’all on the next one!
😅We North Carolinians are known for our gift of gab! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃

14:20 brilliant invention!!! 💫💫💫💫💫
17:25 your great grandpa story was VeRy interesting and informative!😊
Happy Holidays to your entire family. Especially all the critters.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Pearl and that hen reminded me of one our sweet old LaManchas that had a friendship with a free range Cochin. The little hen would graze underneath the goat while they were out in the pasture so she wouldn’t get eaten hawks. They were friends for years!
Have a great Thanksgiving!
ha ha pecking ordder.... ha ha ha ha snort.... bless you Brice.... Lovely family.... wishing you a wonderful Thanks giving.
Skunk smell remover: 1qt hydrogen peroxide, 1/4cup baking soda, 1 tsp dish detergent. Sponge on and let dry. Safe for use on cats and dogs. from the Dining on a Dime cookbook.
No skunks in Australia, but motion activated floodlights on the outer fence work like a charm for deterrence of bigger predators.
We do look forward to your updates. ❤how you say pad-docks❤
PS we call them u-nails.
The turkeys are hilarious!!
So glad to see another visit from all of you. I really enjoyed it. All of you work so well together and love what you are doing. Thanks so much.
The best Turkey Whispere😮r ever
Great video guys!
Them turkeys know that you're keeping them safe!
Hello from Canada 🇨🇦. Those turkey on the roof with Bryson cracked me up!! Good Bless ❤
Please look up GG Bean Skunk Kleen. You apply it to a skunked dog with your hands and the odor is eliminated.
Have a great thanksgiving and may God bless you all
Those turkeys are adorable up there snuggling
I thoroughly enjoyed your video. Love y'alls FANTASTIC sense of humor! 😂 I love seeing all your animals. Have a blessed Thanksgiving! God bless 🤩
WOW Thanks guys, I learnt so much about protecting your flock, herd or flerd. So great they're all together too. Such a beautiful flerd you have too ❤
We used to scatter two railroad ties with a corrugated tin nailed on top for the chickens to hide under when birds of prey were around, my Chihuahua learned really quick to hide under them too when she heard the chickens make their danger call.
Brysons a turkey magnet!! At least you know the trap works…….somewhat!!! 😅😅
The little homestead is really becoming very established with the workshop and now the animal compound!
We had a maremma dog. She was so protective of everyone and animals too. Never lost any animals once she arrived!!
Great to see you all again! Thankyou for another wonderful video!
Love the common area! Y'all are getting set up for your animals. It looks wonderful. 🌷
Love and prayers to you all from Pahrump.
Mom is just really beautiful!
Yea!!! It’s such a treat when they drop a video!!!❤
Fabulous documentary of having a safe and happy, healthy common area!! 🥰
While I originally came for the earth bag construction and off grid videos, I'm glad you gave us one that didn't include giant garage build. Keep up the good work. Love your channel.
With Elvis you need to get a back scratcher.
Just for the Occasional run in Skunk!! Then
you can scratch him without touching him
with bare hands. Telescoping type would be the best. He will still feel Loved and you don't have to stink. 😄
Thanks for the video. God Bless 💕💕💕
I love that if y'all don't know how to do something you research, try and somehow figure it out.
i just wanted to say thank you for having your 24/7 live stream up. I was sick over the last week so i have been watching them from the begining. so thank you so very much. I love y'alls content.
Blessings on your Thanksgiving 🙏🏻❣️. Loved your "interview " & "stake-out" 😂😂😂😂
Wow. Amazing job as usual. I missed your videos. The work with the commom area is superb.
Hello 👋🤗❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I miss you guy's 💖 so much I wish you guy's came on 2 times a week 😊😊😊
How wonderful to have water now! It's a game changer.
Hi again! Poor Elvis getting sprayed by the skunk. When I was little I got sprayed by a skunk and the only thing that got rid of the smell on me was a bath in tomato juice! My grandma and mom gave me the bath and it truly worked.
Tomato juice is hands down the best scunky smell remover.
Where I use to house sit the only way to protect the chickens from the owls was to fully enclosed their space. They got like a giant kennel/fence.
Love Love Love My Little Homestead videos! Thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving. I was thrilled to see you had a new video out. Love your family and your beautiful animals.
Very cool video 👍👍
I’ve heard that a vinegar solution works better at cutting the skunk spray down. The funny thing about today’s video….we had a skunk nearby this evening! So to hear that Elvis is wearing a new scent mask? I’m so happy that we’ve been very lucky that our dogs have not been sprayed! (Knock on wood!!)
Enjoyed the video...was happy to see one from you guys...poor Elvis...I bet with his nose that skunk smell is really bad...Bryson & the turkeys 🤗 💚 Bonnie
hi good to see you all, i have missed you all so much. i hope you all are doing well.
Aw, the turkeys feel safe with you Bryson.
Those U nails are called Fencing Staples here too. A hit couple lines on your outer fence will help. Fox oil gets rid of skunks! Oh my Goddess, they can such a menace.
For the paddocks, half moon trenches might help with water retention
Bryson is a good catch!
To the most talented family I've ever seen. They are just full of love fun and joyful mini tragedies on the way but they are doing their best and they have succeeded God bless peace be with you much love and respect Angel doobie in Tampa Florida
Great ideas, thanks!
Pyrenees, like some other Livestock Guardian dogs are notorious for wandering. They don't feel the electric fence and if there is a predator out there he will find a way put. I have almost 6ft fences and my Maremma's can get out if they wanted to even with no climb deer fencing. They are either jumpers or diggers but lots of fun and do their jobs..
Who doesn't love Bryson. Not turkeys 😂
Cheers
I ❤ this channel
Good morning old friends! ☕️ Nice to see you 🤩
I wanna add goats to my homestead, but we're having mountian lions. My neighbors have had their two cats and one goat taken by mountian lion this year. 😢
My dogs scare off the bears, but im not shue hw to deture mountain lions. 😳
Im coming to Arizona this January to look for a little piece of desert to build myself a earthbag home... im finally getting to old to be living in 2 to 6 ft of snow some winters too. Summers in my tiny home in my beloved Siera Mountians, winters in Arizona!
Very nice video, always inspiring. :-)
There's a specific fencing plier for holding those fencing staples. it squeezes them together.
Wow that’s really cool to know! Thank you
Happy Thanksgiving y'all!
Love it so much keep it up as always 💘
Elvis needs a tomatoe juice bath, poor little buddy!
If I were you, I would place one of your wire/staple arrangements at every space between the horizontal wires to make sure the ends of the panels are properly supported against the goats. Normally, the panels would meet at the middle of the posts. Then, the wire would be backed by the posts and a staple at every other horizontal wire would be sufficient. You might also consider using heavier-gauge wire. Between the fence and the staple. It is harder to work with, but the extra strength will be worth the effort.
Mom needs a golf cart or side by side. Love the video thank you for sharing
I'm pretty sure that turkey loves you Bryson.
May want to consider running another hot wire around the outside bottom of your fence to keep predators from diging
So, growing up with small and large animals, we were taught young not to name them. Because that made it harder to eat them later.
Awe Bryson is nice! And warm.
❤❤❤❤
❤
I had predator lights on all my fencing. Plus 2 great Pyrenees.
Weagos work good to connect wires for fence switch.
It is called Farm Life people
Tomato juice will get rid of the Skunk spray smell. Something to do with the acid in the juice.
