OMG that dogwood has done really good. I remember the video when you collected it. That was actually the first video I saw of yours. It was a long time ago and I am so happy it's doing well. Great looking tree 😍
It's nice that there are still surprises left in this world, isn't it! You can create bonsai out of most anything, it's just that some things are better suited than others. Thanks for the compliments!
It’s great to see you putting out videos again. That’s an absolutely awesome tree. It really developed nicely. I’d love to see it in flower. Thanks, keep growing
Thanks for the update on the dogwood! I've got one that has a curved trunk and has been cut back several tiimes so it's about a foot tall but has a two inch trunk. I think it has some potential. Unfortunately things came up this spring and i'll have to wait until next year to try and dig it out. This is good inspiration to go for it!
I hate u have so much going on we miss ur videos man ^.^ amazing transition I just watch when u collected it again n now this one n is so breath taking ^.^
I have a row of floridas that I need to get ramification improved on. I would love to find a picture of where to cut to get more leaves to pop out together. Any ideas?
I cut them much like you do a maple. The leaves are opposing, which makes for a good forked branch. However, you'll have loads of new shoots pop out from that juncture. You can utilize these or prune them off.
I swear your voice is the same as "Leon the Lobster" videos!!! Nice to see the tree progressing so well, and what an awesome pot for it!!
Here we go...
You're the best, Nigel! I'm not on here much, but when I do, I get my dose of that amazing Canadian.
I was waiting for the update too 😸 btw thanks to you both for such satisfying videos and interesting projects
Awesome. I'm in PA here and I like that you have bonsai species that are not typical bonsai material.
It's when we can use what's in our backyards. If you see American hornbeams, they're super easy and excellent specimens.

Some artists can also be a little snobby, or historical traditionalist about what can and can't be bonsai.
A magnificent education about miniature bonsai. I like the way you explain it. Thank you ..
Wow Wonderful Bonsai ^^

I have a row of 25. Seems like I get a lot of dieback when I try to prune for ramification.
Wow…so freakin sweet. It’s nice to see that the ugly ducklings can come out great!
