    This combined with the Ghost to Darce / Phantom escapes and I’m looking at the beginnings of a system to be deadly from bottom side control.

    Love me some no sleeve Ezekiel's. There is another I know from mount that's no sleeve. But this one from bottom and N/S. Beauty!!!

    Beautiful counter. The higher belts keep getting the NS choke after I swim move.

  • @jimo559
    @jimo559 6 років тому +5

    Many NS Chokes can be finished with the “arm-in”.
    Does your Eziekel counter work against this as well or do you lose to much leverage?

    • @TeachMeGrappling
      @TeachMeGrappling  6 років тому +3

      If you frame with your free arm, you can still grab the frame and loosen it up in order to turn your head in. 👍

    • @BJ-uncensored
      @BJ-uncensored 6 років тому +4

      BeefpattyXL, you bet your ass!
      Lock in a head lock (maybe gable grip or figure 4 like an arm triangle minus their arm) while on your back. A useless head lock, right? As the opponent passes to side, then goes for mount. Slide the hand under the chin for your choke.

    • @imerected1

      His videos are always informative.
      Unfortunately, there will always be people who are critical and judgemental. And humorless..

    • @sergioj972
      @sergioj972 6 років тому +2

      J. Angel humorless? What does humour have to do with any of this? You're so lost mate 🤣. Asking why the clickbait isn't judging anyone because of it, in fact I said Brian has very good content.
      You, on the other hand, seem to be very triggered by my comment and insinuated I am critical, judgemental, and humorless. Just chill and if you don't care about the clickbait, then good for you! ☮️☮️☮️

    lol that's so cool but I know I'm never going to be able to hit that haha. I think as soon as they feel my arm go behind them they'll just grind their chest/weight/body position in a different direction or something while still keeping the threat of the north south choke

  • @k.padraigokane1472
    @k.padraigokane1472 6 років тому +1

    We do something quite similar but instead of an arm, we use the leg over the back of the neck of our opponent!

    Nice idea...But its very easy to defend this variation...Just release his left arm and start to stand up...or move his body forward...or spin his body on side and start to packing setup for an armbar....I try this ezekiel many times...(main thing is that gay on the flor is uses just power of his arms and gay on the top uses the strenght of the whole body). BTW...GHOST escape is awsome ;)

    • @TeachMeGrappling
      @TeachMeGrappling  6 років тому

      You need to look into it more if you think it is easily defended without giving up control. Thanks for watching. 👍

    Came for the click bait, stayed for the technique. Are you choking against the side of the neck or more in front? Looks like the sides bit a little hard to see. Thanks for posting.

    • @TeachMeGrappling

      It’s on the carotid arteries generally. Of course depending if they turn their head just before, it could hit the trachea. Thanks for watching!

      TeachMeGrappling Coach Brian )), nothing personal just saying my own opinion, coming out of my 3 years experience in this craft... You probably have the way more experience than me, therefore you might have different point upon this. Eventually nothing than respect, oss

    • @TeachMeGrappling
      @TeachMeGrappling  6 років тому +2

      I totally understand your point of view. I was in your shoes at one point. I’ve been at it for 25 years now and I’ve been fortunate on my journey. The advice I can give is to keep an open mind. There are many different ways to move in this game and it is ever evolving. There was a point in time when an omoplata was a fancy bullshit move. Just keep learning and keep an open mind. There are defenses and counters to everything but with the right setup and the right timing and the right technique, there are many possibilities. The game is much deeper than it appears.

    There are no advantages of a north south position for either man you are both horribly exposed to taking hard knees to the skull...get out of it as soon as possible.
