What are your thoughts on the Division 2 Season 2.0 coming?
Nothing was clarified that wasn't as bad as we thought or worse. This pretty much cements Y6S1 as my last in Division 2.

So all builds and 1000s of hours of grinding was for nothing?! Seems like a kick in the nuts.
they say you will still have access to Global events, raids, incursions legendary missions everything. Also final to weeks access to mastery manhunt mission. The way I'm looking at it is a SUPER MULE char but with more items you can gain on it for your main.

@@NothinButSkillz A "super mule" with a 3-month wait, with exclusive access to new items solely because they took it away from our mains. They don't want to deal with the power creep they created, and we get punished for it.

This is a waste of time honestly there no real point in having seasonal characters.
This sounds less negative to me now. I didnt know we can still use our main characters for everything like Global events and such, just the seasons will have to be played from 0 every time.
But it still sounds like a bad idea because whats the point other than helping the devs? Will it be fun for us?
I’m still not convinced I still feel the loyal players with maxed out out builds are being punished and brushed aside to try and expand the player base which is fair enough but my issue is the experienced players don’t even have a choice being forced to create a new character which pisses me off why can’t these devs just fix the matchmaking so it does what it’s supposed to do which is ‘MATCHMAKE’

I think the reason matchmaking doesn’t work is because we have a low player count if players that matchmake. People typically just play everything solo or with friends

After reading this myself It seems like the changes are more for them then for the players who have been grinding their watches to 1k, fine tuning their builds for pve, fine tuning for pvp and grinding their expertise.
I think some will really enjoy starting over, while others will find it more like a chore to regrind every new season. I feel like there are 3 types of people concerning all of this. 1) the type who welcome new ideas and are willing to try anything despite hundreds even thousands of hours played, 2) the kind of players who just want anything that will re-spark the anything is a welcome change, 3) then there are those who put much value and pride into their main characters but now are being forced to toss what they love aside so the dev's can have an easier time of it.
I am the type that wants 1 character and wants to grind a game on 1 character. Will I take part in the seasonal character stuff? Right now I am leaning towards no. Forcing your player base to do something never goes over well as the comments since announcement have shown. I love The Division Game franchise and got addicted to it during The Division 1 closed beta and this is the first time I have ever seriously considered leaving the game until further notice.

BUT, us vets or casuals dont have it like that to have our time money n efforts played with. @NothinButSkillz I run thru content with all my spoils. And if I wanna start buck naked I'll play decent or do u on better survival on div1. Like I mention the first time when ur time is short as most of us vets we don't have time for that and if anything we should have a choice minus I few rewards
@NothinButSkillz also with limited time I play on 2 platforms all unlocks exotics n cosmetics. I only play around with the builds. One watch is 3500 plus the other over 2700. So yes I do feel a way the devs are doing us

@@NothinButSkillz what does it matter what I do in the division, every time in a new season I play through the entire content with my main character and I would like to be able to continue doing it, but the developers will take away this opportunity, so the game no longer makes sense to me, this diablo like system is shit and I stopped playing diablo because of this and I will stop playing D2 also.
sound boring they should've spent that time on revamping the specialization not interested
I have 4 characters I’m not playing a seasonal character I have started over 4 times not doing it again
I wont be playin the seasons apparently because the grind was done years ago. Not doing it again. Ill use what i put the effort in to get or i wont do it at all. Not gonna miss anythings anyway

Nope for me, it was a fun ride but doing the same missions over and over while i have 6k hours of character i get what is the intention here they want more new people to play the game so let them i dont see myself doing this nonsense every season.
Im still play game regardless i need this story goes before brooklyn dlc and yet Div 3. Its still fun for me even i also play the new dlc on destiny 2 but hey what can i say its fun no?
We just need new story, new map, new gears and what we get another restrictions and rules in the game 😅

Im not liking the seasonal character thing. Veteran player here 1000+ hours in and I dont want to make a new seasonal character. Maybe this will be the gig that will get me off of div2. I just expressed my opinion. Im not happy at all.
They put so much effort into something absolutely pointless. If players want a fresh start make a new character. They could've added actual content to the endgame like raids, missions, or events. Instead, they're going to repeatedly make us start over for new players sake? 😂
They are going to increase shd watch bonuses because expertise won’t exist on a seasonal character. So after I get to 40, my shd watch starts leveling up. But I can’t use any of the gear I already have and have to get all new gear? This is absolutely ignorant. And I’m sure they just added the two week grace period at the end of the season because they realized they were screwing us. They need to realize seasonal characters don’t belong in this game and just scrap the whole idea like the specialization tree. I don’t know who decides these changes but they are so far away from reality of what the player base really wants. I will have to stop playing and I love this game. The Division got me through Covid and after all this loyalty, I am getting straight shit on

this looks like attempt to copy how PoE and Diablo 2 seasons goes. Though i'm still at 'wait and see' , because if this is what they attempt to do then the seasonal item must be good enough to attract us. Cuz let's face it, division 2 story isn't bad but it's not that good either so the enticing part of season completely rest on rewards.
Doing seasonal characters 6 years After the game has been released is a bad idea.

I would have been fine with seasonal characters if they game was out at launch.

There's literally no point in playing any more. Hey remember that character you've spent 1000s of hours upgrading and getting your builds you like so you can play how you want to your prefered play style? Yeah...no longer useful...like at all...
I would be significantly more likely to have been ok with this had the seasonal characters been part of the lore by using a new character in a different area, play out their story, have it all wrap up they end up together in td3.
I mean you will still be in the dark zone or conflict with that character or doing legendary or raids or incursions with it?

If they decided not to introduce other modes like raid or incursion, what do I do with the dlc? Just to make new equipment and keep leveling the clock to replay the same missions!!!? With the arrival of the dlc how long will the new missions last? Once we finish those we will be back to square one... i think deciding not to introduce new game modes will be the end of this game... i could agree to play the dlc only and exclusively in case td3 comes out the next year post dlc..
Yeah, we'll see. I wasn't 100% mad about it. As someone who mains all 4 character slots, I haven't been good with wiping any of them to start from scratch. Now I can.

All I’m going to say is our mains our obsolete in the story even though they’ve been the there from the start but I guess they don’t mean shit now Ubisoft has completely missed the point of the character In The story.

I think the seasonal character is recycled from the heart land. You will play with different character and different map. I think the seasonal character cannot travel to DC and NYC.
You can do all this with your main characters what's the point with having another character from lvl 1 that you have to rank up again for what just to have all that stuff go too your main characters couldn't you just do all that on your main characters an still get all that stuff your watch won't get any higher this won't make anything stronger faster this is alot of talk but no real improvement.

I think it is not good for veterans and old players. So what is the point with the seasonable characters? We should run the same content and grinding the same missions over and over however from zero. We need to grind for the same builds that we have been doing since day one. I think this is good for new players not for us. Keep up the good work bro

Definitely not worth grinding past level 40 & reaching level 100 on seasonal rewards. When I am done with the season I am done with it till next season starts. Personally reasons are the ways to get through all 100 levels in 6 to 8 hours is not bad but the changes to EXP amounts are definitely going to make the 6 hours or less mark a little harder than before. Lastly not being able to use either of my Mantis or Whitedeath builds has me 🤬🤬 more then P.O..

Naw you can play on your regular characters but if you want to pvp with the seasonal characters you have to play on that both characters are seperated
@whytheOG Nope, gotta start at level 1.
@whytheOG yes you can do somethings global events will be on main characters and then during intermission you can play on your mains for the season. But you will have access to all the other content.

Anybody complaining about this must be content with running through content with overpowered build. I’m happy for a new challenge.

Who gives a damn how powerful my main is when running through the season track, it’s all PVE content that can be played on any level (normal/heroic). Everyone is on the same footing in that aspect, the whole “level playing field” is a load of crap. It sounds to me like they are pulling back from the expertise monster that they created. I won’t be playing after this season, There are plenty of games coming out and that are already available 🫡
