UK fans been watching boxing for centuries & we have been dumped for Saudi money.
Jeez, For a very long time the really big fights have been in Vegas, because they paid the boxers the most money, now that the Saudis have got involved, & have been prepared to pay 3, 4, 5 times the most money, then that's where the big fights will be, the fights ALWAYS & have ALWAYS happened in the country that pays the most money, & that is NEVER going to change, its an unwritten rule, even the fighters do not get to choose where the fights happen, its simply a business decision, & a question of economics, being 'dumped' does not come into it.
@@francishughes542that's true and staying up late is a pain, the only ideal thing about Saudi is main card fight time but why can't Mr excellence put on these big fights at Wembley ? Is it purely for his, ego that they happen in his own country? Surely they could bring in a lot more money for big fights at Wembley than these relatively small soulless venues over? I know making money isn't the Saudis main motivation but these big fights will be an even bigger deal in England, make more money surely and everyone can still stroke his ego in London... If he was genuine boxing fan he would out his ego aside and not put the events on simply to build Saudi as the Mecca of sport.... Exactly. These 'super fights' have been mostly shite. Had much more fun watching Campbell Hatton and the two British heavyweights in the last few weeks. Proper atmosphere makes a massive difference. You can't import or buy culture.
