Wow, oh wow! This movie left such an impression on me since I was 7 years old. I couldn't settle down after I watched it and my mom told me "GO TO SLEEP!", but my Francis-addled brain kept galloping over the highlands...
*Happy Halloween!* Congratulations on nine seasons of *Creature Features!* Mrs. O'Connor looks beautiful. Tangella looks awesome. Mr. Livingston makes a great and noble Jedi Knight, and Vincent is... Vincent! Here's to another nine seasons with this great cast of characters! 📺💀🎃💀📺
One of the two subordinate police officers was portrayed by David Jansen, who later played the lead character in the long running television series, “The Fugitive.”
We always watched the Fugitive because my mom liked David Jansen. Watch the movie, The Fugitive, with Harrison Ford. Tommy Lee Jones won the Oscar for his portrayal in that movie.
Love these old movies from my childhood, also Laurel and Hardy. Lon Chaney, Boris Karlof, Dracula, so scary at the time, they would come on at midnight, a show called Shock Theater. Loved those times.

One early October morning, Gertrude and her friend Francis step out of the barn to go to their feed pen and to have their breakfast. Gertrude: Good mourning Francis. Francis: Good morning to you Gertrude. Gertrude: Let's see what our human friends gave us today. Francis: Yup! I can't wait. They both walk over to their food pen and begin to munch away. After a few brisk chops and munching, they look at each other. Francis: Well, that was good. But I need something to wash it down. Gertrude: Okay. Come over to the next pen and try this turnip juice. Francis: Okey dough key! I'll try that. (Gertrude grinned). Francis bends down and takes a few sips of the turnip juice. Suddenly! Francis rises up! His eyes turns google! And he jumps around and kicking his hind legs! White smoke comes streaming out of his ears! And then - just like a Saturn V rocket, he lifts off! Janet comes out of the house holding a platter of food. Janet: Good mourning guys! Here's some left over SPAM-wiches and . . . . . . Janet looks up and sees a mule flying over the house and flies across the sky. Janet: (whispering) . . . . bacon . . . . . Suddenly there is a big crash! Francis crashes into and through the roof of Mrs. Guthrie's barn and lands in a stack of hay. Janet turns to Gertrude and gives the eye. Gertrude looks up to Janet and looks so innocent. Janet: Gertrude. Gertrude - you naughty girl you! You know I was saving the turnip juice for our friends at Creature Features! Now, go back to your room! Gertrude walks ever so slowly, up the barn entrance and into her little warm room. Janet: How am going to explain this? CLOSE UP on Gertrude: Gertrude grinned :) FADE TO BLACK.
FADE in to Janet, Gertrude and Francis outside Mrs. Guthrie's front door..... JANET: "remember Francis, I'll say hello and you explain what happened to her barn. FRANCIS: "no problem" Knock! Knock! Mrs. Guthrie opens the door... MRS GUTHRIE: "Oh it's you Janet....and that goat I always find in my turnip garden....and a mule!???" JANET: "hi Mrs. Guthrie! I just wanted to say hello!.....Hello!....and um (pointing to the mule) Francis wants to tell you something...." MRS.. GUTHRIE: " the mule wants to tell me something?" Mrs.Guthrie and Francis stare at each other in silence for a solid minute and then Janet nervously tries to cover her mouth and pretend she's Francis talking.... JANET: "Hi ...I'm Francis and um.....I think you're swell....and....I ...um ruined the roof of your barn." MRS GUTHRIE: " very funny Janet , but I can see your lips moving. It's a bit early for Halloween, but if you come back on the actual day I'll give you all some sweets. Now you run along you little rascals it's past my bed time!" As they walked back to Craft Manor Janet looked at Francis and said..." thanks a lot Francis!, now Mrs.Guthrie thinks I'm a complete whacko!" Janet, Francis and Gertrude began to chuckle and they all lived happily ever after....until Mrs. Guthrie went to her barn the next morning!!!! FADE TO BLACK!

Far out.
The quarter horse is so named because a quarter of a mile is the approximate distance that it can run at full speed, the length of races in which it was run.
