@jordanastro4694 Haaland's "Stay humble" comment is definitely haunting him. But banter aside, he’s not the problem at all. City have no wide threat at all with Grealish and Silva. Both of them constantly just pass backwards and sideways and never provide first time service to Haaland. Aside from De Bruyne, none of City’s players have the courage to play aggressive passes in the attacking third when the ball is on to Haaland. It’s incredibly predictable to watch at this point.
The problem is Man City and Pep will not change their approach. If Pep could adapt and make City a tough team to play against then they would have a chance but Pep will simply not change his approach and that will do for City in the end.
Any other manager would be expected to stop being so arrogant and shore up the defense, and accept ties while the team stabilizes and gets more players back from injury. Allowing in 22 goals with only one clean sheet in the last 11 fixtures is relegation level play. On another day this game against Aston Villa could have been a 5-0 demolition. Villa had 4 good chances in the first half. Another problem is City lacks physically tough defenders, even when everyone is healthy. Walker has not intimidated anyone since 2022. No one is a captain of the defense in the back like Kompany on this roster. Stones had a really good Euros, but he is not reliable defensively.

Pep is the main driving problem at City bc he refuses to adapt his setup. We have no defense so naturally it makes sense to play a very aggressive defense? What are we doing here
Opponents have figured out that City have no wide threat when the likes of Grealish and Silva play out wide. Because Grealish and Silva have no pace, can’t beat defenders 1v1, never provide first time service, and always pass backwards and sideways. The end result is opponents funnel everything inside, let City have as much predictable possession as they want, and destroy them on the counter because City have no pace in transition. Pep needs to stop playing Grealish and Silva out wide and actually let Doku and Savinho take on opposition defenders. Instead of turning both of them into predictable sideways and backwards possession players. Because City’s attack has become far too predictable and toothless. And Haaland is constantly making runs off the ball that are going unrewarded because his teammates are afraid to lose possession instead of playing threatening balls in the final third.

Let’s see how good Pep is now in this season. It was okay when he was bashing everyone up. I can see the pressure in him at press conferences he’s under it mate Well, let’s see how good is in this very season, not the next season this very season . With all the other clubs, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, they were Top top teams with lots of money, well let’s see how he gets on now
Just goes to show if players are failing for whatever reason or past sell by dates or missing just one big time player (Rodri) even great managers can have a blip . When you have won every single trophy numerous times and have everything outside the game. You can't tell me the hunger drains. A major blip and it's case resetting again !
I don't think he's unsackable, however, I think it would take more than one season of bad results for the Man City hierarchy to want him gone. I presume that next season, they'll throw a lot of money at the problem and trust Pep to get them back up to the top. If it also didn't happen next year, THEN I'd say his job is under pressure.
I remember some people arguing with me that pep will 💯 stay for two more years back when he signed that 2yrs contract as if the world we live in is a definite white or black😂.
Pep wont be sacked this season on the strength of what he has achieved in the past - much like Klopp didnt get sacked, because of what he had achieved before he started his rebuild - this is the first time City find themselves in this position with him so they will give him time to put it right - if he doesnt eventually yes he will be sacked but no this season
As a Chelsea fan - Man City's demise is temporary. If Pep can't turn it round someone else will. If Chelsea can do it after 2 years of mayhem so can City. Truth is Pep might not have the answers, but sometimes the most unexpected thing happens and things click. In 2016/17 Chelsea were getting hammered 3-0 at Arsenal, Conte went to a back 3 to stop it getting embarrassing. Chelsea won the title. In City's case - write off this season, stop the rot, consolidate, buy new players, decide on Pep, he is drained - bring in a new coach, fresh, ambitious, new ideas. Then watch.
Personally I think the players have been tipped off that relegation is coming from the 115 charges decision next March and none of them have release clauses just enormous salaries.
Saying he’s un-sackable when it’s his first time facing adversity in his entire career is ignorant. There is no guarantee that he’ll overcome adversity because he’s never faced it before and looking at the way he lines up his team and stubbornness to change his tactics proves that he won’t overcome this tough period
The issue with Pep is that he could have used a couple of games to get City back on track. Play a defensive formation with a counterattacking approach led by KDB, Haaland, and Doku/Savinho. That would win City a couple of games. But he's insisted in the same tactics that lead to Villa getting a one v. one after 10 seconds. Stop with the high line on a team that can't defend.
The only way Pep will get sacked is if he loses the dressing room. If he’s willing to stay you gotta give him the chance to do the rebuild that’s required.
Pep is a footballing genius but he’s clearly reached his ceiling, bumped his head and is rapidly falling back to earth. Also no one is talking about the fact that other managers are finally figuring out how to counter Pep’s tactics.
Dear Pep. If Man City's team, like today against Aston Villa, has no attacking ideas in the attack, what will KDB do sitting on the bench for the whole game?
Not unsackable. It's unprecedented to think he could be sacked, but if City remain in this decline and keep losing, something has to give - and the easy option is always sack the manager.
Pep won't be able to buy his way out of this one. There is a lack of quality players. Now it's just teams paying a fortune for 'potential' no actually quality around
@Yamal_TheNewKing my point is there isn't the players out there to go and buy his way out of this. When fergie was managing there was quality world class players in multiple teams in multiple leagues. That isn't the case now.
@@BiggestBirdonMars 🤣🤣🤣,Pep is full of shite, when these charges were brought up,"If the club have cheated I will walk away" 6 months down the line,"Pep,even if we get relegated,I will still be here" Can't even make his mind up on what he said, and nobody knows the machinations of Peps contract, only him and the club.
Why is everyone expecting City just to win and dominate every season? Every club goes through high and low, remember Barca when Ronaldinho, Messi, and Eto were there then what happen after next season it became to fall apart. So every season comes to an end and every era comes to an end. Pep did great job and won 3 PL in a row, now is time for him to find new solution but it is not the end of the world if they didnt win the league this season because Liverpool were not good as well after Klopp won both PL and championsleague.
3 years ago Man City signed a player to step in for Rodri - Kalvin Phillips, unfortunately he never got a chance to play and then he got injured and since then hes so out of form hes ended up on loan at Ipswich
its very simple they sold and sold and sold talent and other player and not replaced aging stars and been too loyal too them, i predicted this last season and even like last season put bet they wont make top 4. media keep saying they have back ups and world class back ups they did untill 5 years ago when started selling them, and never replaced them.
I wonder if the new generation of managers are outplaying Pep at his own game? Everyone plays out from the back now. Having said that, he’s won everything with City. We’ve never seen the amount of success he’s had in this short space of time. He’s allowed to have this moment, but he needs to find a solution. Maybe it’s time to change tactics and start from square 1.
Guardiola being sacked is based purely on what the outcome of the 115 charges will be. If it’s a thumbs down the pep “I’m not good enough, everyone can be sacked including me, I’ll need to step away for the sake of the team” guardiola will pop up. If thumbs up then I’m sure pep “I’ve just signed for five more years, I never had any doubts I always grew up dreaming of playing for them I am the king, Guardiola will be holding his press conference to promote city’s pre season tour of the ADG facilities come July.
Pep looking a whole lot like Russell Martin right now. He's playing a crazy high line even though his defenders are clearly struggling with pace. Silva and Gundo are fried and he just keeps playing them. Also he's completely ignoring the kids, we know that academy has some ballers but Pep gigantic ego is choking them young lot. Embarrassing.
Villa deserve all the credit they played some brilliant football today, but here we go the media just wants one of the most successful managers head on a plate,it’s how these phone hacking weirdos work
Whilst Pep is a quality manager he relies on an unlimited amount of money. If he managed a club where spending money is far more limited I don't think he'd fare so well.
I swear it's the Champions League curse. Unless you're Real Madrid after winning that competition clubs decline quite a bit. It happened to Chelsea and now it's happening to Man City.
After two losses Pep beat his chest and said he loves a challenge. Seven losses later and Pep is having the worst time of his life, probably since it dawned on him that he's going to be an egg head. It's clear Pep does not love a challenge because he's been shambolic. Scratching his head, talking about eating soup because he can't digest solids, saying he wants his players back, stating he's not good enough etc etc. First time in his managerial career that everything is not on a platter for him and he folds like a deck of cards. He's an absolute shite manager. He's no Jurgen Klopp.
Personally I'm not worried about City, or Pep!! Come on man, the guy has just won FOUR Premier League titles back-to-back, City are entitled to have an off year. For all we know, they'll have a reconstruction and come back to smash the opposition next season!!
Media media, pep gardiola is the best manager not only in UK but the whole world. He will fix these problems. He's a genius. Most of his players are old and need to buy new players. Let's call for sacking of managers just bcoz things are not working.
City won’t sack pep unless something really extreme happens like they get sucked into a relegation battle and they far off that. They will likely clear half this squad out come the summer before they ever consider moving pep on

Klopp & Pep are never sackable 🤷♀️
Oi City, you're not having our Nuno.....
I'm still feeling humble 😊 best advice of 2024, thanks haaland 👍
Its not about what he did yesterday its about how pep is doing today ,of course he is sackable ,i believe he needs an open check book or he struggles.
Even as someone enjoying their downfall, not giving him AT LEAST till the end of the season would be a disgrace.
Big Sam is sitting by his phone waiting for a call ☎
I personally want to see if Pep is capable of turning things around, if he quits i will downgrade him as one of the top football managers.
Yoo, i said the same thing. Jose went through the same situation with chelsea. It doesnt mater what he did, things kept going downhill.
Then watch.
I think this Man City form is hilarious
Personally I think the players have been tipped off that relegation is coming from the 115 charges decision next March and none of them have release clauses just enormous salaries.
So humble they are the gift that keeps on giving
Imagine if Man city started talking to Jurgen Klopp !
Nice wonderland you got going on der 🎉🥂🎂🐇
Even if we go down- we will not sack Pep-
Started going wrong when talk about Brazil coach so happy as a man utd supporter 😊😂
Just remember. Scott Carson has more EPL and Champions league titles than Arsenal 😂😂😂😂
Arsenal won the league 13 times
Pep only managed well established clubs and he's not used to having all these injured players
Seems like Pep can’t accept he needs to change the way his team play to mitigate their current weaknesses.
Pep is a footballing genius but he’s clearly reached his ceiling, bumped his head and is rapidly falling back to earth. Also no one is talking about the fact that other managers are finally figuring out how to counter Pep’s tactics.
Forget about this Rodri excuse. Man Utd faced almost the first team injured last season, yet ETh found a way. Pep cannot find a way
Dear Pep. If Man City's team, like today against Aston Villa, has no attacking ideas in the attack, what will KDB do sitting on the bench for the whole game?
"No manager is unsackable!"
Simeone with Atletico -👀
They only just got him to sign for an extra year.....................They will not sack him.
He will resign first .
Not unsackable. It's unprecedented to think he could be sacked, but if City remain in this decline and keep losing, something has to give - and the easy option is always sack the manager.
Your getting sacked in the morning 😂
Pep won't be able to buy his way out of this one. There is a lack of quality players. Now it's just teams paying a fortune for 'potential' no actually quality around
Wtf is buy his way out?? Wtf is that?? Fergie spent like heck in every summer just like Mourinho so wtf is this "buy his way out"??
Look who's talking 😂 a flipping barca fan
@@thaaLoverboyy9944 Barça is bigger than pReMieR leAguE
@Yamal_TheNewKing my point is there isn't the players out there to go and buy his way out of this. When fergie was managing there was quality world class players in multiple teams in multiple leagues. That isn't the case now.
If pep figures this out i feel sorry for yall😂
Cuz rn this squad needs an overhaul
The only thing Pep is figuring out is how to jump ship, when cheating City are found guilty.
@jameshall6061 if that was the case then why renew his contract😂
Let me assume you're not being serious and it's just banter😂👊🏻
@@BiggestBirdonMars 🤣🤣🤣,Pep is full of shite, when these charges were brought up,"If the club have cheated I will walk away" 6 months down the line,"Pep,even if we get relegated,I will still be here" Can't even make his mind up on what he said, and nobody knows the machinations of Peps contract, only him and the club.
At least there's no debate over the best manager the prem has ever seen now
Was there ever a debate?
@AndyLowe-net unfortunately for some, yes
How walker hasnt retired himself i have. No idea
Child support
The calibre of pundits is crazy! This will be a UA-cam show within 2 seasons
They are a bunch of a zany club like that. Mid table Thomas cook. Now back again.
If they sack Pep, they are exactly what we think of them.
Klopp had a tough season and wasn’t sacked by Liverpool.
Villa deserve all the credit they played some brilliant football today, but here we go the media just wants one of the most successful managers head on a plate,it’s how these phone hacking weirdos work
Building teams every year not like baldie pep
Humble Haaland
Jason Cundy is showing that he's Spurs through and through! What do you mean a manager is not sackable?
Now we are going to see just how good a manager he really is I always thought he is overrated
Could be a big points deduction too ..
Whilst Pep is a quality manager he relies on an unlimited amount of money. If he managed a club where spending money is far more limited I don't think he'd fare so well.
He put so much credit in the bank , that he gets this year as a free pass , unless relegation enters the equation.
Not at this time, for what he has achieved at City, they are not gonna fire Guardiola
For all we know, they'll have a reconstruction and come back to smash the opposition next season!!
even if man city finished 17th this season hes still earned the right for a summer rebuild.
Media media, pep gardiola is the best manager not only in UK but the whole world. He will fix these problems. He's a genius. Most of his players are old and need to buy new players. Let's call for sacking of managers just bcoz things are not working.
How is he a genius if he's never managed to bring a team back from a blip?
City won’t sack pep unless something really extreme happens like they get sucked into a relegation battle and they far off that. They will likely clear half this squad out come the summer before they ever consider moving pep on
David the Man City fan isn’t too bothered about them not being in form because he’s got a red shirt in the wash.
