Slow down at the 1:15 mark with the point blank shot and watch his head movements tracking the puck and then ATTACKING the shooter, he went from the red line in the crease to outside of it in a blink of an eye! Insane! If you really watch closely, he doesn't even look at the shooter, he looks only at the puck and the shooter's stick. Make all the cute leg kicks, head takes and it won't matter cause the puck is all that matters, he doesnt stop the shooter, he stops the shot, Kuznetzov couldn't pull that BS move and score on Levi the way he watches the puck!

It is sad that it took so long for a team to put him into the net because he is "so short" at only 5'11 - 6'0.

I dont think height was an issue. hes only 21 and goalies take longer to develop. also was a late round pick who played in a weak league in his draft year (CCHL). Hard to determine how good a goalie is when hes the best player in his league. So going right into D1 was smart just to have an idea of how he stacks up against tougher comp. and it turned out really good. I believe last year buffalo wanted to sign him but levi wanted to play another year in D1 to try to win a championship . Spencer Knight is also a little older and was further in development. He had really good ncaa numbers aswell. and using up a 1st round pick probably sold them on him. Knights going to be a very good goalie aswell just needs to get his mental health figured out

The only thing I disagree with is the part about the best example of a confident goalie making his team better. The best example is and always will be Patrick Roy. He willed the Habs to two cups they would have otherwise had no business winning, then went to Colorado and backstopped the Avs to two more Cups. I'll never forget Roy winking at Tomas Sandstrom after stoning him in game 4. They should have just given him the Conn Smythe immediately after that, because for all intents and purposes, the series was over.

The confidence is nice to see and deserved after facing down such a powerhouse of a team in the Rangers.
That being said, the difference between the minors and pros are, every new game he will play, the NHL forwards facing will have more and more video footage of him. People are going to be paid to analyze his playstyle and coach other teams on how to score more effectively on him.
Young goalies actually have a massive advantage because they come in knowing everyone they are facing and can tailor to them to increase theirs odds of making a save. The rangers likely didn't even had video edits or basically any information on him, so, hopefully the confidence sticks around and he his able to keep ahead of curb. Great game.

Well their season's done now, what a shame, I was rooting for them. The one game where the Sabres need to score a lot and they don't (I'm referring to the Panthers' game). They are one of the highest goal scoring teams in the NHL, and in the most important game of the season, to keep their playoff holes alive, they score a single goal. They lost 2-1 with Devin Levi having one hell of a game. Depressing!

Carey Price. He never won anything. What about Patrick Roy. When he was confident nobody scored.

The dude won everything that wasn't the stanley cup. Ted Lindsay award, Bill Masterton trophy, William M Jennings trophy, and Hart trophy. He also won a gold medal at both the world juniors and the olympics. He was consistently one of the top goalies on a mediocre habs team. How can you say that he never won anything?

@@theonlyraid Never won the Stanley cup. thats everything. I guess he did win a gold medal or two and that's good. But Patrick Roy put the Canadians on his back and won a cup.

Kid looks small. NHL teams will figure him out quickly. I hope he does well but, I doubt it.
