Lovely bike, lovely lady and what must be a very proud Dad!
😁 thanks WJ😁
Between Mrs. Taym, Baby Taym, Motorcycles and Horses you have really surrounded yourself with beautiful people and things. Good on you.
All the best to Baby Taym on her upcoming wedding.
Nice change of pace in this video. Thanks for keeping us entertained.
BJ
Thanks Bob 😁
Good onya, Dad! Having had my late wife, two daughters and my now-26-yo granddaughter ride on the back on my bikes over the decades, I know it's doing things like this together that helps create a strongly-bonded family. Advance congrats and best wishes to Baby Taym on her impending wedding.
Thanks Chris 😁 absolutely agree 😁
Beautiful daughter Taym takes after her mum.
I Don't believe we've ever seen you mate, time we did.
😂😂😂 there are a few videos with me in them 😁 thanks Mike 😁
You can see Taym, If you click on The All Year Motorcyclist, Then Videos and "The David Silver Honda collection,
Cheers Bill.
Quality vlog with Baby TAYM,glad she enjoyed her pillion experience on the Baby Triumph.
Thanks BM 😁 yes she is keen to go again 😁
Father and Daughter, beautiful dynamic.
Thanks SL😁
Wonderful, great to meet baby TAYM, I loved it when she told you go faster, brilliant 😆Watching this has made me miss the days when my girls used to come out with me, I now need to persuade them to let me take the grand kids out on the bikes, one of them is already up for it,, he'd love it but he's only four! 🤣
The elder daughter started at about 4 😁 she loved it 😁 I had an primitive intercom called a chatterbox 😂😂😂 and boy did she chatter 😂😂😂 thanks MM 😁
Well done TAYM on a two up review and well done the speed 400. Very good value.
Thanks B 😁
Gosh! Like mother, like daughter. It's lovely to see another member of your family showing an interest in motorcycles.
The Triumph seemed to cope well with a pillion passenger, which must be a big plus for those seriously looking at purchasing a speed 400.
Thanks for another enjoyable vlog.
Thanks BH 😁 yes, it copes well two up 😁
My wifes got the speed 400 ,which i love riding, it puts a smile on my face as i go round the lanes, look forward to your videos , keep it up !!
Thanks Keith 😁 yes, lovely bike 😁
Very informative, thanks! Sounds are probably tuned down to modern modest city bike levels. What a lovely young lady, the bike suits her.
Thanks C 😁
It's good to see a motorcycle review video that includes the pillion perspective. Motorcycle review videos that include the pillion element are as rare as hen's teeth.
Thanks Billy 😁 a new 2-up video coming this weekend 😁
Lovely vlog Taym. Got 3 daughters all who loved being pillion. Mrs wouldnt pillion due to tragedy of friend in her youth involving bikes. Middle daughter now got street triple and our rides tend to be “competitive” a bad thing but equally enjoyable. My youngest got a 125 just to get to work due to city living and loves it. Eldest been all around the globe and always hires a 125 when she’s there. Did all on northern Thailand on a bike with a friend. It’s funny how male/female comments are so different. I know u were taking it easy but at least some aramid jeans and strong boots for her young body. My wife used to beat me over it. I bought a lot 2nd hand off e bay. My best life achievement 3 daughters and being a dad
Yes, there used to be a place in Bury St Edmunds (Eskuires) that had a stock of used kids biker stuff which people had donated and they would give stuff out on free loan on account of kids growing so fast 😁 brilliant service 😁 thanks Volt 😁
Nice to review a bike with your daughter and take some time to share a moment
Thanks GCK 😁
Nice bike, I did try one when I was at Triumph Hinckley which is near to where I live but I am very happy with my new CB500x. Bringing the daughter into the motorcycle community was a nice touch. 😊👍🏍
Thanks John 😁 yes, still need to find a friendly Honda dealer 😁
Very cool video!! Congrats to BT on the up coming nuptials!!👍😎
Thanks TBG 😁
Good to see you still have "pulling power." Think I lost mine a few decades ago!
😂😂😂 as did I 😂😂😂 thanks LM 😁
Just like her mum wandering off! I like the what IS he talking about look you got when you started talking about the senses test:)
😂😂😂😂 thanks SB 😁
Did you notice the baby has grown a tiny bit...... And good luck with the weight remark. Never mention that or age. Fun video.
😂😂😂😂 yes, I think I might have just about got away with it 😁 thanks WB 😁
Beautiful Baby TAYM and that gorgeous bike all in one shot was more beauty than my poor old eyes could absorb all at once.
😂😂😂😂😂 thanks IZ😁
Ahh how nice having baby TAYM on board.. it definitely suits her and they always look better when the young ones sit on them.
Congratulations for her up and coming wedding she sounds lovely
Great one TAYM
🙌🙌😊😊
Thanks Phil 😁
Baby Triumph, baby Taym, what a match! ❤❤❤ I truly like this motorcycle more and more the more I see it😂 I think I prefer it above the Scrambler😊
Thanks Lilian 😁
Great review m8. Isn't it wonderful to see your daughter wanting to spend time with dad and sharing your love of bikes. I see mumma TAYM keeping a close eye on you though 🧐😬🫣😁😆😅🤣😂
😂😂😂😂 yes, just in case 😂😂😂 thanks IT 😁
Gets off the bike and wanders off just like her mum! hahahahahaaa this is epic....you did sound like a very proud dad...congratulations and luck to her on her wedding and wished her a lovely life ahead TAYM!
😂😂😂 thanks R 😁
Great stuff TAYM, but be careful! Discussing women's dimensions and weights is a minefield! 😂😂 , but it is great to have some Dad and daughter time out on the bike , my Daughter loves it !
Cheers Mel 🍻
Thanks Mel 😁 I realised after I had dug the grave 😂😂😂😂 yes, this was baby TAYM the younger, baby TAYM the elder has been on bikes since tiny and loves it 😁
@@TAYM Ah , excellent! 😁
Super precious, I've a daughter of a similar age. We are blessed ❤
Absolutely 😁 thanks Guy 😁
Lovely bonding time....
Absolutely 😁 thanks St 😁
You've a lovely daughter TAYM, congratulations on her upcoming wedding. When she was a teen my daughter used to like to ride with me, but on hit days tended to dose off on back! Disconcerting when I would feel her helmet thumping me on the shoulder 😮
😂😂😂😂 very relaxed 😂😂 thanks SW 😁
brilliant! i am going to get one, for me n my Gf.
so we will two up. epic to see a review with two up well done pal
Thanks TC 😁
Gosh isn't baby TAYM very like her mother, similar looks, similar mannerisms and sense of humour, your a very lucky dad much like myself. I've only had my daughter as pillion once on a brief run home from her work. She'd be an absolute star if she was to feature in one of my videos. " Can we go faster?" you need to get baby TAYM on the Rocket, her impressions I'm sure would be unforgettable. Speaking of which I understand the delay now in buying one for yourself or even a cheaper winter bike, weddings aren't cheap especially when it's Royalty 👑 😊😊
😂😂😂😂😂 like peas in a pod them two 😂😂😂 thanks GW 😁
My daughter can’t get enough of going out on the back of my bike. That’s a tiger 1200 though which she says is super comfortable. Your daughter does sound posh you know old chap.
😂😂 thanks DM 😁 yes, ridiculously so 😂😂
Sublime example of familial diplomacy. Thanks TAYM 😊😊
😂😂😂😂😂😂 thanks DT 😁
Did that pilion ride on the scrambler a week ago and it's like you sad. Didn't notice she was there. It had no effect on the handling nor the power. Bought it 5 march and up to 1200km now. Ready for the first service. Noticed the flashy rev counter magicly dissapeared after pasing the 1000k mark.
Thanks Steph 😁 no, her mother was the pillion on the scrambler 😁
Baby taym certainly looks like Mrs taym . This little triumph is certainly doing well , I heard there's now a 3 month waiting list.
Thanks Jim 😁 yes, it’s only the waiting list that puts me off getting one 😁
Absolutely delightful 😊
Thanks JT 😁
Awe, clearly a proud Dad 😊. Was impressed at how well that 400 carried you two along 😮👍. Especially seeing as you're not exactly Stuart Little 😂😂😂. Great vlog TAYM. Regards, Mo 😊👍
Thanks Mo 😁 😂😂😂😂
I think papa TAYM will be buying baby TAYM a 400! Is this the daughter that rides horses? From a novice bike rider was perfect for the review. I am adding in this one, its nice to see child with father as the age. ER has his son do videos and it changes the review of feelings. Thanks for sharing your family with all us! Great video. As for the weight comments, dont worry about it, i got your back! Nothing said during this video it to be taken serious othen then the review of a motorcycle. The comments made are for entertainment purposes only! 😂
Thanks LoY 😁 no, this is the younger, it was elder who rides the horses and has always gone on the bikes, since she was tiny 😁
Isn’t baby so much like mummy! Daughters are a precious thing! Always makes us proud dads!
Spitting image 😁 thanks Steven 😁
TAYM: What do you think?
Baby TAYM: It's pretty.
Order cancelled!
😂😂😂😂😂 thanks Sam 😁
The future son in law is a very lucky guy…..sorry will probably be in trouble for assuming that it is a son in law.
Anyhow. Whoever - if they ride a bike too, I can see the potential for another series of videos….you and Mrs TAYM. Baby TAYM and significant other out on bikes….TAYM’s on tour methinks … lol
Great video. Take care.
Thanks PR😁
Ha ha , I bet you had to cook your own supper that evening. Comparing wife and daughter weights and sizes is a dangerous thing to do .
Very nice to meet Baby TAYM and best wishes for the upcoming wedding .
You should mark Packenham Mill on the map as a crocodile infested area , then FD will know he should avoid it. ( he is frightened of crocodiles and sees them everywhere now ) .
Glad you made it out of there safely on the Speed 400 .
😂😂😂😂 thanks DS 😁 now I am going to have to watch more Freddie videos to see what you are referring to 😂😂
@TAYM . Yes, you must catch up with FD in Sri Lanka . Monika keeps him on a short lead and there's toilets on trains , crocodiles and he rides on a godly scooter and leaves Monika behind whilst he runs away from the " crocodile " .
@@dungspreader 😂😂😂😂😂😂 how can I resist 😂😂😁
A stunner! Absolutely cracking. Girly and pretty, yes! 👍👍😁. I like the Triumph too of course..... 😍.
😂😂😂😂 thanks GBD 😁
Baby taym is 6 inches taller than me. 😮😂
Great to see you both out and nattering. LJ
😂😂😂😂 thanks Lady J 😁
Just a fantastic video end of that bike is just the bee's knees end of 👌💯 and at first I thought you was showing your wife you naughty boy you crack me up 🤣
Thanks Frank 😁 yes baby TAYM is a carbon copy of mum 😁
Looked so much like Mrs Taym through the helmet aperture.
Did she give mum her jacket back?
Of course you know the natural progression...'baby Taym does CBT'
Like twins they are 😁 yes, a little too big for her 😂😂 thanks Loki 😁
I.m glad she s past school age. Can you imagine?
Her dad talks to giraffes 😂
😂😂😂😂 and traffic cones 😂😁 thanks Charlie 😁
@@TAYM Amazingly I forgot the cone thing. I.ve alerted the authorities 😱
Baby TAYM is definitely her Mothers Daughter it seems you have a pair of speed demons on your hands 🤣 That little Triumph is a bit of a marvel though for the price I don't know how they've done it but I'm very glad they have but I do agree it could do with a pipe on it to sound just a touch beefier.
Thanks Grumpy 😁 absolutely 😁
Great Video! My daughter got upset because I've made my Super Meteor a single seater with the solo seat rack without her going for a ride 😂 Easy to replace the pillion seat. Maybe one day...
Don't remember you doing a SM 2 UP vid on the SM.
But wow, really impressed with this bike!
Not surprised though on what I rode 2 UP on power with bikes in my early days riding that gave no issue. The miles I did back then that seemed normal with my girl on the back...
Absolutely 😁 we never thought about it, just normal 😁 I will try and do the SM two up😁 thanks C 😁
The information you've given out has helped me a great deal. I used to own 3 Honda CB 400N (one kitted out for touring back when serving in the British military). I now live down under and not ridden for 20 years but looking at getting back into it. The Triumph 400 looks ideal to me but everyone here is pushing me to go for something bigger. I believe its not needed. If it will do 110KPH (Aussie version of 70 mph) and tour, then its fine. Would love to travel Elwomple (S.A.) to the Gold Coast (Qld) on it (1,970kms). Did 40,000 miles (64,000 kph) on the touring CB400N in a year - only 34 bhp too.
@@ashleyralston9142 yes, as kids we toured all over on 250 s though there is more vibration on these singles but not so much as to spoil the ride 😁 thanks Ashley 😁
@@TAYM One thing you have to look out for, here in OZ is Kangaroo's and Emu's. If crossing the Nullarbor desert then you have the addition of Camels (lots of them - more here than in the middle east). But I'm looking at touring mainly being a double veteran (Brit/Oz) and just letting things loose. I drive around Oz 22,000+ kms a year, so doing some on a bike would be great. Friends I know through the Medieval Fair groups (myself bowyer - Outback Snoopy) have said that they'd make up a sheep skin cover for the seat to add to the comfort - would also assist with the heat in summer (40 - 46c). Ashley/Snoopy
@@ashleyralston9142 fascinating 😁 sounds very interesting😁
I think she’s got confidence in her dad’s riding 😊. Did ride bikes when baby TAYM was little? 👍🏍️
Thanks MsD 😁 the elder daughter has always gone on the bikes and loves it 😁
Thank you for sharing this video. I am readly to buy a Speed 400. I would have like to have seen a side view with both of you on the bike. My wife rides with me all the time and I want to make sure it will be comforable for her.
Ride safely and enjoy every journey.
Thanks Gene 😁 if you are tall enough, go for the 400x it has loads of room 😁
@@TAYM I am not tall, I better go with the Speed 400. I hope to go to the Triumph dealership this week to see one in person.
@@genegoodwin8925 😂😂 yes, I am sure you will find it fits well 😁
Mr TAYM you must quite the 400 or you are an undercover salesman.😂

When I a got my new naughty boy Yamaha XSR900 in blue, my 19 year old daughter stated ‘It’s pretty’ and ‘nice colour’ 😂 And that was that 🤦🏻

Great video again !

Who says 40 hp won't be enough?
😂😂😂😂 thanks L 😁 exactly 😁😂😂
Wonderful video! Like you...I took my daughter on the back of one of my bikes too...but a very different experience! Maybe I shouldn't have put her on the back of the Street Triple RS Moto 2 for her first ride?? That was her first...and last ride. 🙂
Yes, Baby TAYM the elder has gone on the bike since she was very tiny and like you say, it’s a very different experience 😁 but now the younger what’s to do it again which is the outcome I wanted 😁 thanks Mark 😁
You poor man. Surrounded by all that beauty with Mrs TAYM and Baby TAYM. And... they will both hop on the back of motorcycles with you. My gal, (Lil Sprout because she is 4'11") will only get on the back of a motorcycle with me if it has a back rest or top box. She loves the Ultra Classic because it is big and comfy. I think she naps back there but I haven't been able to confirm that.
Interesting that Baby TAYM felt light on the lil bike. Did the T-120 feel similar?
BTW, congratulations on the upcoming marriage.
😂😂😂 hilarious 😂😂 the BT the elder has been on the bikes since being a tot 😁 don’t think she really remembers it to give an opinion on the t120 😁 thanks PW 😁
The Speed 400 positively screams RASPBERRY RIPPLE ICE CREAM! to me….

Ohhh TAYM what have you done did I hear you right you mentioned Mrs TAYM and weight in the same sentence blimey you are a risk taker that's for sure 😂.Gotta say TAYM when baby TAYM got off it was just like Mrs TAYM wandering off so funny the apple does not fall far from the tree there 🤣so the Speed is a pretty girly bike oop's well maybe not .So would you want baby TAYM to get that bug and want to get more involved as in riding her own bike interesting !. Well done both 😉👌👍
😂😂😂😂 I know, I like to live dangerously 😂😂😂 absolutely 😁 thanks Crumb 😁
Really like the 400.
For a new rider in their 40's, would you say the 400 or your SV would be a better first big bike?
The SV is substantially quicker with another 25 horses and a top speed of around 130 mph 😁 but having said that, both would be ideal bikes for grown up learners 😁 if you know what I mean 😁
Fun review of the Speed 400, loved it 👍
but when you pulled over & stopped, the bike was in shade, so we couldn't see the Speed properly side on.
Thanks Art 😁

Baby TAYM looks just the right size for the bike. If you are over 6ft it must feel a little small ?
It did feel small the first time I got on it but I don’t notice it anymore🤔 it’s about the same height as the speed 900 🤔 feels pretty comfy 😁 thanks Jon 😁
Which is your favourite between the two 400s pal?
The Speed handles better but 6ft 2in I prefer the height of the scrambler😁 other than that there doesn’t seem a lot between them 😁 thanks ST 😁
Thank you 👍 I've ordered the Scrambler after test riding both in horrendous weather on Friday. Great videos, thank you. 👍

I’ve ridden both this and the Scrambler , good value but I wouldn’t buy either of them , they ride exactly as they’re priced - terrible. The torque is good but the brakes, clutch handling riding position id give them both 4/10 , but the price point is spot on . 👍🏾great video though 🙌🏼👌🏽

Baby TAYM is a delight, but where on earth did she get the Downton Abbey accent??
😂😂😂😂 school 😂😂 🙄 embarrassing isn’t it 😂😂😂 thanks G 😁
I wanted to ask, with a full tank of gas, how many kilometers are you doing?
I have a scrambler, haven't done a tank to tank run but it is showing a range of 230km on half tank( I am a very relaxed rider, doing 40 to 50kmph in 6th about 2k on tachometer), the claimed range is 13x30 i.e. 390km per tank. So you can expect in the range of 300 to 450km realistically, depending on driving style. Also speed has slightly better efficiency than the scrambler.
@@nandadityaswami7452
I have the Speed 400 and I wanted to know, from those who have the same motorcycle as me, how many kilometers they can do, with one filling of the tank! Let me inform you that I am also conservative with my driving, although I am in the period of engine oiling! Thank you for the information you gave me!!
