i reckon the weight that really matters is when the bike is on your leg, that's when you don't want a 200kg lump. taller bikes and slimmer bikes add to the weight to lift from ground level but if the overall weight is less there's less crushing force if the bike decides to ride you for a bit.
Hey Josh. Bloody good idea. Older guy on a way overloaded Himalayan 411 that likes to go for trips alone down South island NZ..I've dropped it a number of times and its an arse to get back upright, it hangs on the soft panniers which seems to be a help on the initial lift. Also I have a velcro strap hanging on the handle bars that I use to hold the front brake on so I dont get in that crazy situation where the front wheel rolls away from you when you start lifting. I lift with my back to the bike. I do my best to keep weight down low. And I guess as we all find out we start dropping the bike when we are absolutely knackered after a long day, so the easier to lift the better. Gonna get my weighing scales out and see if some adjustments can be had. Cheers Josh
I know my Bush pig is Fing heavy when I'm tired AF and drop it. I've always wanted to measure pulling weight,as I was trying to tell you through this vid. But you couldn't hear me.😂
Keep up the good work, mate. I've been watching your adventures for the last couple of years. And now i have a bike for light adventure riding . Klx 400r. Basically, it's just a green drz. I can't wait for the next big adventure. I'll be doing some of the rides you have done, hopefully in the future. Cheers.

Great video, but it’s “zed”. It’s derived from the Greek “zeta”.
100% mate. We're not American.
@@joeldawtrey3726 zed or zee same same.
@@_JoshJB_ nah bro, the USA is literally the only English speaking country where “zee” is correct.
@@joeldawtrey3726 maateeeee you need to relax 😂 I don’t care what you call it, but many get so worked up when I say “zee”
