My son committed to play starting next fall at the #8 nationally ranked JUCO School (Frederick Community College in Maryland). I’ve been seeing more and more college teams and MLB players using 3 wheel pitching machines to take more “game speed” like batting practice. As a coach and father what % of actual game speed are you setting the pitching machines during practice. I know we want to challenge hitters and using the machines is suppose to mimic more game speed timing as compared to doing abbreviated distance BP. For instance the machine being used in this video appears to be an ATEC M3X (same machine I have). This machine has a top speed of 90mph and is very accurate using regulation baseballs. What speed to you think Bregman is using in his BP sessions.
