That sumo section was so interesting. I loved it a lot. There’s something so rewarding watching them actually accept the money, it’s like you know why they’re there and you get to watch them claim the prize. Wonder why more sports don’t do this. There is something within us humans that like seeing someone rewarded for their work.
You mean you want professional athletes to get their paychecks right infront of us? idk what else to tell other than the grand sum would prob too big to bring in a public space like that lol. And not all cultures are like Japan, others would find it awkward to recieve their pay or reward $ infront of so many unless its just a simple cheque
that money they get at the end is just a bonus given by the sponsors at 22:00, that's not their full pay so it wouldn't be hard to do it in other sports.

Sumo is awesome. Its the one sport I admire. So much tradition and sportmanship. Sumotori are devoted it is a delight to cheer them on through each Basho!
Very happy to see sumo on this channel. The guy who won at the end (Takakeisho) ended up winning the entire tournament yesterday on Sunday, so many more money envelopes for him. :)
other than the basic rules, I know next to nothing about sumo. to my untrained eyes, the matches are, as Felix said, amazing! and thanks to your comment, I have a name to search for a chill night reading tonight~
@@solsol-kh4st The Japan Sumo Association has an official Japanese UA-cam channel, as well as an English channel called Sumo Prime Time, which covers a lot of basics. I recommend them both.

i love how the sumo wrestlers are so, gentle with each other before and after the fight is over, the seem to have so much respect for their opponent, even tho they are enemies during the match, when possible if someone gets pushed out they just kind of gently hold each other and mentally say to each other "good match",
Japan needs to work on marketing sumo harder, it's a very very cool sport and basically every human knows how sumo wrestlers look but we never get to see them fight or to know their names, they deserve far more recognition.
I just like that Pewds never let fame get to him. Like these videos are so humble and wholesome. Like for a well of as he's not that into materialistic things and flexing and rather into cute and simple yet satisfying experiences.
Pewds you have such a healthy mindset about life, having fun, and improving oneself. I am glad that these vlogs have been reflecting your true energy about the world and I hope that your character rubs off on everyone who watches these videos.

22:50 UA-cam content this last 5 years has been a ride, from chaotic, depressing, extravagant, extreme, over the top, you name it and as a consumer and an avid UA-cam enjoyer myself it's sometimes put weight on you. the parasocial relationship you've build, the emotion you had on certain ideas topics makes you question everything you've known for, widens your knowledge of your self and the world your living. this kinds of videos really resets me from everything I have. also reminds me to be calm and collective, enjoy the people, the things, atmosphere, aesthetic for everything that is happening right now. I've been blessed enough to witness such evolution of a amazing person like Felix. you might not read this buried in comments, no what happens words can't express my genuine admiration towards this guy. such a character. love you sir. It's been a ride lol but man, if it isn't great seeing him genuinely happy in life. For soo long his life was being the richest youtuber, the best youtuber, the controversial youtuber. People expecting lavish luxury from him in excess.. Now, it's him, his wife and their pugs and enough to be happy.. Okay I went down the sumo rabbit hole of youtube. These guys aren't just lazy dudes eating and shoving each other around. These sumo wrestlers go hard in their training, there are rules up the buns, and to see a tournament like this to be my first experience with the sport is crazy. Thank you Felix for sharing these kinds of videos. Really appreciate it!
So interesting that they give them the money directly after the match right on stage. Also, the old lady behind you at the match was having so much fun watching you film and be excited about Sumo.
I actually watch that Sumo on a livestream on twitch! I got really into it this Basho and am so excited to see your live footage from the event. You even have footage of Asa!! Who is my favorite! Thanks for posting this, super exciting!
I recently went down a sumo rabbit hole myself, I'd really like to know more about the traditions. Apparently they did it during samurai times and the winners were able to become retainers for the lords. Nobunaga was a fan of sumo. Sumo became the entertainment spectacle during the Edo period. Sumos were actually ripped but since there's no weight classes, they put on the size. It's possible for smaller guys to win with skill.

Mad stuff still kicking, love these vids pewds dont feel any pressure over your upload schedule btw. I just love being able to watch your story as it comes whenever you feel like sharing.
seeing Felix so happy is just amazing, he really deserves it
I've never seen an actual sumo match before they actually look like alot of fun
Chill video pewds, been a bro army since 2012 and see you enjoying your life makes me happy for you
Seeing the new puppy reminds me when maya was a puppy, and it makes me tear up with joy to remember those amazing moments but also witness all new ones
Man, i remember first watching him in 2012. he was so different. so grown up now. im so happy that i was here to watch his life unfold and his fame and now retirement. truly a treasure of my life
He's retiring?
@@UksiHattu12 he has retired he just post videos when he likes too
@@DHRUM1L Ah I see, I would understand retiriment as totally leaving youtube myself.
I get so happy watching Pewds japan vlogs! Keep it up and stay enjoying life with Marzia n the pugs 🙏🏼❤️
Fax. been watching you for years btw
eyyyyy hello vexx
Pewdiepie just commented on my latest video i'm literally crying!
Hello vex mod from Minecraft
See this is why I stay wit pewdiepie he just acts just like a regular person he doesn't act like he is better than anyone else he makes videos that's not cringey when he make videos out in public he is respectful, and humble like I'm happy he is still alive and enjoying his life
as a sumo fan i couldn't be happier to see you enjoy sumo pewds 👌👌
I love the Momo and Edgar moments! And seeing you and Marzia live life is just so inspiring. Thanks for keeping us a part of your life!
I love the energy that Momo brings to the family. I too have an older dog and he doesn't really play like he used to, mostly just sleeps, but I'm glad they get to experience that playful puppy energy.
I really love seeing all the wholesome comments of how happy everyone is seeing that pewds and mariza seems
to be living their life in Japan 🥰 I wish them all the happiness to them and this awesome community still following their journey 😊
Sumo is awesome. Its the one sport I admire. So much tradition and sportmanship. Sumotori are devoted it is a delight to cheer them on through each Basho!
Gotta love a Connor and Joey surprise appearance.
Following your new life in Japan is a true joy to watch!
Love that he still talk swedish to hos dogs so nice to see that he keeps the Swedish not just in swear words. (From a Swedish perspective)
Neat stuff like this is why I still bother to look through the comments despite the excessive amounts of bots.
Thanks for the recommendations, kind stranger!
i love how the sumo wrestlers are so, gentle with each other before and after the fight is over, the seem to have so much respect for their opponent, even tho they are enemies during the match, when possible if someone gets pushed out they just kind of gently hold each other and mentally say to each other "good match",
Japan needs to work on marketing sumo harder, it's a very very cool sport and basically every human knows how sumo wrestlers look but we never get to see them fight or to know their names, they deserve far more recognition.
haha fat guys pushing each other me likey
I just like that Pewds never let fame get to him. Like these videos are so humble and wholesome. Like for a well of as he's not that into materialistic things and flexing and rather into cute and simple yet satisfying experiences.
Pewds you have such a healthy mindset about life, having fun, and improving oneself. I am glad that these vlogs have been reflecting your true energy about the world and I hope that your character rubs off on everyone who watches these videos.
Something we can all aspire to!
He has matured so much over the years.
It's really inspiring to see
Nicely said :)
Rewatching this while knowing that Marzia was already pregnant during filming… it hits different. Congratulations!! 🎉
Her lil bump looks so obvious now watching back 🤦♀️
Reminds me of when Jerma revealed his secret
an theres a whole segment on strawberries which pewds said is her pregnancy craving!
Felix is so calm nowadays. It's visible in his face that he is doing YT just to enjoy his life. After a decade of non-stop grind, a peaceful life this is well deserved.
Sumo was next level. Thank you for letting us witness that greatness.
I dont want these to end. Thanks for the vid Felix
I recently just got back from a Japan trip and its so weird seeing you hit up the same places I did! I went to Nikko Toshogu and the Yokohama Ramen museum! I highly reccomend the ramen museum to anyone, especially in winter because its such a great indoor activity out of the cold. Fill yourself with delicious ramen before heading back out!
A really fun video! Looking forward to seeing some more videos with either more snow or even sakura season!
Pewds, cmon man, thank you for bringing us these slices of life. I am so grateful that I got to experience these at this time of my life.
Holy hell man this video really lifted my spirits, just seeing a new place and culture that I get to explore alongside someone I’ve idolized since a child is amazing. I love this content and would love to see pewds do this for as long as he wants
I loved Felix's reaction to Enho's bout. Seeing someone small win against a bigger guy is always awesome.
Enho is a goated rikishi
I haven't smiled so much in a long time, watching pewds to the fullest after watching him in the videos all my life feels so good and satisfying.

I tear up everytime I see Edgar without Maya. It's been a while but it still stings a bit. Hope that Felix and Marzia are handling things better than I do. And hopefully Edgar does too.
Bruh you really gonna mourn someone who you never met in real life, who never knew you

Edgar seems so introverted wirh other dogs maybe because he doesn't speak japanese

I'm so happy for Felix for living his best life. I hope I too will reach this happines and peace in my life one day
It's amazing how much early comments differ from comments that have been posted upwards from five hours of the video being posted, everyone just seems so wholesome
Sometimes I think good on you pewds for moving to japan.. I hope you’re happy there! It’s a very bold move and it’s awesome to see you just do your thing! As a fan of pewds for ages I hope you’re happy and we love you!
I love how calm pewds new videos are.
Complete 180 from the older videos but I love these videos much more tbh
I love seeing how excited Momo is about life! What a happy and sweet little one
I hope Edgar is taking well the loss of Maya, it can be hard for them to say goodbye. Much love from Spain
Saw one of these vlogs after a long time, I'm so glad I did! They are still as beautiful, cozy and comforting. These vlogs are like a gentle hug. Lots of love.
Biggup Pewds for making more videos lately while also not being under stress 💪🏽

I love seeing how much Pewds and Marzia have grown over the years it makes me so so so happy
You should check the 3D printing material whether it releases particles into the air since it's in a room you use a lot, some materials can be very harmful, especially since your printer isn't closed
Ooo yes, this
Thank you for talking to us through the camera and making us feel involved, in the sumo match, I really appreciate it and it shows you care about your audience and see them as friends coming along with you.
Man seeing pewds enjoying his life in japan makes me cry we've come far
Nice to see Pewds spending time with Conner and Joey
We need an hour vlog lol. 20 mins feels like 5mins sad.
Love seeing you both so happy and relaxed.
Love watching the little bugger enjoying herself, hopping around etc

Felix and Marzia, I just wanted to thank you two for all the years of entertainment. Your work is greatly appreciated by the world. I am suffering from chronic headaches and nothing could make me feel better, but I opened this video and the soothing sounds and editing made me feel relax and gave me some relief. I thank you two so so much, have a beautiful and happy life ❤️
22:50 UA-cam content this last 5 years has been a ride, from chaotic, depressing, extravagant, extreme, over the top, you name it and as a consumer and an avid UA-cam enjoyer myself it's sometimes put weight on you.
the parasocial relationship you've build, the emotion you had on certain ideas topics makes you question everything you've known for, widens your knowledge of your self and the world your living.
this kinds of videos really resets me from everything I have.
also reminds me to be calm and collective, enjoy the people, the things, atmosphere, aesthetic for everything that is happening right now.
I've been blessed enough to witness such evolution of a amazing person like Felix. you might not read this buried in comments, no what happens words can't express my genuine admiration towards this guy. such a character. love you sir. GG
Couldn't agree more, these video logs are always so wholesome and fulfilling to watch
3D Printing advice: If the heatbed doesn’t stick anymore, it‘s probably because you touched it with you fingers too much. Try cleaning it with either IPA or some soapy water :)
Also inform yourself on the different filaments, as they need different temperatures and might not stick, because the bed is too cold/ hot
As someone who just started getting into 3D printing, I appreciate this advice even though it wasn't for me haha! :D
@@patwhw I’m glad I could help :D
In case you have any questions or run into problems that you need help with, there is a great community on Reddit for 3D printing. They are pretty educational:D

My grandmother was Japanese and we used to watch Sumo a lot at her house.
I’m not gonna lie, I’m jealous seeing someone live the life that I’ve always wanted. I know it sounds stupid, and I am happy for Felix with his new life and Japan, but wow, I pray I will one day get to the place Felix is right now.
yes bro you can 💪
Don't worry, you're getting closer with every step!
If you are fluent in English and have a bachelors degree in literally any subject you can find an English teaching job here relatively easily. The pay isn't stellar but it's still enough to live here and go on the occasional trip. I'm having an amazing time; been here a little over a year.
We almost surely won't get there, but it makes me happy he did. Absolute madlad, deservedly so.
@@CloudCollapse Well, what is the minimum level of Japanese required to get something like that? I've been thinking about trying to move to japan for a little while now
I don't think I've watched a Pewds video in over 2 years, and it's shocking the change that's happened, but I love seeing all the cool stuff he's up to now! It kind of makes me wish I kept watching.
at least now you have lots of videos to catch up to :)
Pewdiepie just commented on my latest video i'm literally crying!
I honestly can't even imagine the giant weight leaving North America and the lifestyle change took off his chest as a person.
It's been a crazy shift in mentality but I prefer this, sincerely.
@@Deaf_Sound wasn't he living in the UK?
@@Deaf_Sound I dont believe he ever actually lived in north America for an extended period of time.
I would never watch wrestling, it's just not my thing, but sumo wrestling actually seem really fun
I live for the vlogs so much...honestly my favorite era of pewds :) these kinds of vids have become more comfort videos
Good to see you and Marzia, glad you guys are doing well. Loved the 3D printed piece for the light, did a great job.
I love watching Felix go through different Japan places, lifestyle and many more things related to that, I guess its a dream of mine and many people to be at a country like that with a different culture and different experiences, thank you Felix for this content, Im glad seeing you happy, I dont usually comment but I admire your transformation to a now more mature Felix.
I'm not Japanese but I've been watching sumo religiously for over 3 years now and I was EXCITED to see sumo in your title..so happy you were able to experience it live
Exactly the same situation for me!
These vlogs make me feel so chilled, they're hypnotizing. Vlogs are the videos I appreciate most at this point. Thanks Felix
21:42 FLOOR GANG UHH!!
Every time I watch Felix’s vlogs it makes me feel so calm and want to visit Japan it seems so nice there.
@PewDiePiegift..... anyone really falls for this shit?
I’ve always thought “hatsumode” referred to the first visit to a Shinto shrine in the new year. ⛩ The temple visit is usually on December 31st, and has another name. At least that’s my area (Mie Pref), so it could be a regional difference.
