That technology is amazing. And it saves a lot of steps when figuring acreage and what to plant in what fields. Thanks for taking us along and showing how you do that... great video.....
This is a great use of applied technology. If the system weren't so expensive, I'd consider running in on my family's land to mark trails and old field boundaries. Obviously, there is much more of a payoff when you use it, given the unique and specific information it gives you at harvest time. I only wonder how many more times you'll have to run boundaries on the same tracts of land since you've doubled-up so many strips on your various farms already.
Your local deere dealer should be able to map your land for you, just have to ride along with him and tell him where to drive. They can do it realitivly cheap also.
Do you think that any equipment dealerships around me would have one of these setup in their truck and could come out and map my alfalfa fields cause I wanna get auto steer/gps on one of my tractors for mowing
Round Prairie Dairy yes ag leader go on line find dealer they bought one out an demo it . stay with ag leader or John deer is the best had good dealer support.
As a starting farmer using a John Deere 450 grain drill like yours do you recommend this or in another couple of years when I have the equipment to do so

A real good explanation of how RTK works. I was really impressed with how much acreage in any given part of the field. Thanks Travis
Great video Travis thanks for sharing stay safe and have a wonderful day
That can have a lot of uses for different people. It will be nice if and when the prices come down. Thanks again for the video.

What do you use in your planting tractor for a display
Andrew Hourigan the same display he has in this video
Philip Logemann gotcha,I though they were using a green star display in their planting tractor.

Does that require a yearly/monthly fee?
Curious, why do you have to map the field each year, isn't the field data saved?
I only have to run the fields that I doubled the strips.
