I just bought your plans and completed the build and i have to say, this is an amazing conversion. The instructions are flawless. Thank you so much this massively improves the set.
I appreciate your ability to limit yourself to the use of parts from another easy to get set. I've just started work today on the motorization which will hopefully include a functioning wheelie lift as well
RacingBrick's looks faster and the battery box is hidden. Unbrickme also modified some shaping of the car. Adding another larger motor and controller for the wheelie bar isn't worth it to me. Was on the fence with this set but now I want it.
@@gregm963 honestly I prefer the modified shaping, gives the car more oomph ya know. I mean if you have an extra xl motor lying around then I say yeah modifiying it is definitely worth it! just use the channel switcher on the rc, you don't need necessarily a second controller
I'd love to see this build re-visited/updated using the currently available Powered Up system. Since the motors can also function as servos. For now I'm enjoying the build as is. Thank you very much for this conversion.
i bought the instructions for this and i gotta say great job im really impressed i have had lots of fun driving my dodge charger around my house and outside worth all $11 bucks and very easy to build
Hello, I find your modifications useful and simple. Just a suggestion, can you make a video on the 911 Rsr. I built it and Im bothered by the height of the suspension. Would like to see that. Thanks👌🏻👍🏻
I took off the supercharger and gave it twin turbos Lowered the car Made the car lighter Simplified the axles Made a roll cage Relocated the nitros bottles I'll make a video on mine soon with in this month or next month
Have you tried the motors from cada yet? I bought a rc wheel-loader from cada just for fun and i think their motors have slightly more power and the servo works smoother. Also i like the 2.4ghz rc mote than the 80s IR. I will mototrize my 42111 once it arrives. Keep up the good work!
@RacingBrick I am done assembling it, when I turn it on there is green led on battery pack, on power supply but it doesn't not start. It makes a little beep and stays put. How do I get it to start.
You need to point the remote to the receiver and use the levers to control the motors. The receiver and the remote needs to be set to the same IR channel (there are 4 options).
Someone tell me why my front wheels won’t turn when using the blue side of my remote.. I can hear the motor making noise but nothing up front moving. I realllllly don’t want to take it apart oh god lol I’m new to technic and brand new to powered functions.. but I’m pretty smart so help me out!
There are only a few pieces between the Servo motor and the steering rack so there's not much that can go wrong. Remove one of the front wheels and then you should be able to see what's going on there. There's a red gear right in front of the servo, that does not matter in this case. In front of the red gear there's a 3 stud long black connector piece, that should rotate when the servo turns. In front of that you only should have a black gear sitting on the steering rack, that should also turn. If the black 3L connector rotates but the black gear does not then you probably inserted the tan 4L axle on page 66 incorrectly, but you really need to take the build apart to fix it.
@@RacingBrick I don't have the official Lego servo motor, but a Cada Pro one (that returns to center and works well with the IR receiver of 42095). Would that be a problem?
Because I wanted to build the combined mod first, nowadays it's not that easy to get extra parts for a build. BuWizz mod will also come.

This is something that is geared more towards beginners like me. I just built the 42095 that I got as a parts set, and it's only my third Technic set. I'll probably get the servo as well so I can do my own RC MOCs, and it's great to see that it doesn't have to be insanely hard.
My main reason is because they are not wide spread yet, and you cannot buy the L and XL motors individually. On the other hand from a control perspective they are more challenging, you either need to use a gamepad with BrickController 2, or you need a huge chunk of code for a fairly simple servo control with calibration and all that stuff.
RacingBrick well, while your points are respected and totally valid, I would say it’s not always necessary to have a custom control layout. For motorizing sets like the one in the video it’s perfectly fine to use either Tog Gear or Offroader profiles.
@@boriscareaway5862 that's possible, but then you need to stick to the exact same motor layout that makes the build more challenging. Just an example, you need to have the same orientation for the Servo, you can't build it in the other way around because then steering would be reversed. Same goes for the XL motors, if you drive train would include a different number of gears, the car might go backwards. And obviously you cannot use extra lights, motors, nothing else.

As the motors and other parts are integral part of the build you need to start in from scratch

Does the servo stall while steering with this moc? Because the 12 tooth gear only rotate 45 degree-ish with the original design.

You can make the rear suspension lower, just need to ensure the wheels does not touch any body panels

Because that contains the Power Functions parts and other pieces (gears etc) that are required for the motorization
can it still drive wheelies
No wheelies unfortunately, not enough power for that
