Way before you got to R&W, you passed a restaurant on your left in Sullivan called Tracey’s, and they have the best lobster rolls, fried haddock, clams, scallops and steamers.
Randy, even though it’s not a National Park, further up near the Canadian border is the “bold coast” of Cutler Coast Public Lands. If you ever find yourself back in the area I highly recommend the coastal trail loop. Great video as always!
Schoodic is beautiful. But the western " lung" of Mount Desert Island, the side including Southwest Harbor, is already referred to as " the quiet side of Acadia".
I love when you add the Bloopers, LOL. I often shook my head in disbelief at the beauty of God's creation you were sharing. I had no idea of the northern section and am adding this to the list :) I have loved every National Park we have visited but find myself drawn to the water, rock, mountains, and trees, like at Acadia. Can't wait to see it in person. The girls and I were giggling at the"Champion" shirt you were wearing, for it captures our feelings about you. Our National Park Champion
@@AmericasParks Thank you so much Randy. The reason why I do so much hiking is because I love nature and it makes me feel closer to God. The beauty of nature is just a small taste of Heaven... God Bless you, your lovely family, friends and your lucky congregation.... Robin 🙏🙏🙏
beautiful scenes, makes me want to go to Maine it has been way too long... looks like you found the right place for lobster and love the bloopers / nice perfect Blurry sunset hahaha
Yeah, they are all relatively mild hikes. Some elevation change, but generally small. Nothing there (that I saw) with rungs, ladders, etc. like the trails you mentioned.
Thanks much! Left Katahdin that morning and slept at Bass Harbor Campground near Acadia for my time in Acadia NP. Actually slept in the back of the minivan!
I've only been to this section of the park, but I didn't know there were all these trails here. I did not go during sunset and I see I missed out! Stunning.
That really looks like such a beautiful national park! I'm glad you were able to show us more of it. That was a nice little steep hike in the beginning but the view was amazing. Awesome brother thanks for sharing.
How did I miss that part of Acadia National Park during my visit? I stayed in Bar Harbor to visit the park but didn't know about the Scoodic District. It's so beautiful up there on the Maine coast! I guess I'll have to visit again. 😊
Hey Pastor, Another awesome video. Did Schoodic twice.Once we put our bikes on a ferry from Bar Harbor to the peninsula, the second time we drove because the boats engine blew and they were waiting on another. Good thing about driving is we took our time and didn't have to race back to catch the boat. What awesome days ,just love it up there....
Thanks for showing us a side of Acadia that many do not venture to. It appeared very peaceful and still had great views along the rocky shores of the Atlantic. I have been to Acadia three times now and always stuck to the Mt. Desert Island section. Truth be told, I have never of heard of this area or the Isle au Haut section of the park until recently. All the more reason to go back. I got a good chuckle from you doing that hike to the overlook and then just being able to drive up there. At least it was a short hike.
6:34 now that meal looks good. The hike that looks good on paper until that elevation into the woods that is not paved when you start doing it. 😅 The view was worth it.
I love that at even the most popular parks you can find quiet spots to enjoy your surroundings. I could watch the waves crash into the shores at Acadia for hours.
@@AmericasParks we won’t forget the visit either! Newstate Nomads just posted a video on their visit to CINP - my friend who owns Island Packers was briefly shown checking people in. Made me homesick for her, my boat & the islands 😥
Hello America's Parks, I have also visited Scodic Point. I call it the Quiet Storm because it's so quiet there and some amazing hikes there. Awesome video Randy! Hey, What about, Rainbow Bridge, National Monument 😊😊😊! .
@@AmericasParks Yeh, I was out there in 1997, spent 3 or 4 days driving around the State, and didn't see ONE Moose. Maine Moose, where are they, do they even exist? Thanks for continuing to show up on my computer screen from time to time. 👍👍
The lobster looked delicious and I loved your statement about God's Creation - spot on my friend! Thank you for sharing your travels Randy!
Blessed you gave that comment your attention! Ears to hear...

Always deeply encouraged by your kind and genuine words, my friend! All the best to your wonderful family!

Thanks, Thorn! Gotta get the Long Island guy back to the East Coast! :)
Did you visit Raven's Nest? It's just down the road from where you were. I hope you did.
Bummer, how did I miss that - would have driven right past it. Made a note, thanks!
Would you say these Schoodic Peninsula hikes are not a vertical as the ones in the rest of the park, like Precipice, Beehive, etc?
Yeah, they are all relatively mild hikes. Some elevation change, but generally small. Nothing there (that I saw) with rungs, ladders, etc. like the trails you mentioned.
Are you going to do a video on New River Gorge anytime soon? I’m interested in checking out that park and need your tips!
Yeah, not sure when, but definitely on the radar!
Went to that side last year. Hardly anyone there. Beautiful area of the park.
Glad to hear you enjoyed this gem!
Great video. Where did you camp? Would have loved to see your camp set up.

Beautiful scenery and happy you got your lobster 🦞!!
Thanks for the kind words! Love Acadia!
The one that got away. We pretty much visited all of the rest of the park, just never made it here. Looks amazing!
Yeah, easy to miss this one. Four previous trips to Acadia and never knew it existed either. lol!
@@AmericasParks one of my old bosses told me I missed out. We’ll get there eventually!
I've only been to this section of the park, but I didn't know there were all these trails here. I did not go during sunset and I see I missed out! Stunning.
Yeah, this is the least visited part of Acadia! Worth a return trip to experience that sunset location!
That really looks like such a beautiful national park! I'm glad you were able to show us more of it. That was a nice little steep hike in the beginning but the view was amazing. Awesome brother thanks for sharing.
Thanks, buddy! Hope you have a blessed week!
I had some doubts when you first showed “Ruth and Wimpys” but that sandwich looked amazing. Gotta have some lobster when you’re in Maine!
So many good family memories at Acadia!

Acadia is our travel destination next summer. Thank you for the video and given us another option on where to go to get some wonderful scenery.
Happy to hear that, Bill! Hope you have a great trip!

I like this part of Acadia. When I was there about 10 years ago, I saw no one. The crashing waves here are the best
Right on, Gerald! Such a special place!

Very well said, Craig!
Oh my - kind of funny when the overlook was the same spot you hiked to...! Acadia reminds me of The Channel Islands National Park.
Yeah, many similarities! Will NEVER forget that time with you guys on the boat and our visit to the Channel Islands!
