You try to kiss a ghost ONE time and the world almost freezes over. 😂 I had fun watching this in theaters.

This was more like an extended episode of The Real Ghostbusters. cartoon.

Thank you for reacting, I agree it wasn't as strong as "Afterlife", Jason Reitmam didn't direct, so it may have lost something. Still enjoyed it. My hunch this is the middle part of a Triology where the reigns will be fully handed over to the new characters. I think the films are trying to respectfully pass the torch from the old to new team. Not a bad film, it just reminded of of "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock" in tone.
I didnt see any gayness in the movie, I saw an Autistic girl wanting to have a friendship (even if it is a ghost) and her struggle with not being accepted as she was not being allowed to work as a ghostbuster because she was too young

It’s crazy that you prefer afterlife seeing as it’s just pure nostalgia bait.
Yes it has an emotional story but what bothers me about it is that they could’ve done without reusing the original villain and similar plot.
Frozen Empire was a refreshing title because of how new it is, introducing new Ghosts like Pukey, Possesor, The Manhattan Sewer Dragon, that freaky ghost that looks like a skeleton, Melody and the big bad Garraka.
Even characters like Nadeem the Firemaster is such an interesting character and it’s cool that This movie expands the lore and introduces people with magic.
I mean Ghostbusters 2 had the guys dealing with a Warlock sorcerer ghost Vigo the Carpathian but he is a ghost. Still doesn’t take away the fact that he existed before and was a powerful sorcerer. Even Ivo Shandor, who is also mystical (or more so had artifacts or something)
Overall I prefer this over Afterlife, afterlife is fine, the only good thing about it was that it didn’t take place in New York and it was refreshing. Garraka was such a cool and interesting big bad that he probably goes toe to toe with my other favorite villains like Vigo the Carpathian, The Spider Witch, Ivo Shandor the architect, Samhain , Azetlor the collector, and Gozer obviously.
I prefer Ghostbusters: Afterlife
The first two films will always be a 80s classic
