On Bessmert and Yenisei's teammates: I was SPEECHLESS when they wanted to leave Bessmert alone on the mountain with no supplies. Ah yes, leave the blind woman completely defenseless in an environment that everybody assumes is hostile. Even if they thought she was behind it that is horrible behaviour. Their behaviour before that point was annoying but as you said valid considering they were anxious about running out of water and food but after trying to abandon a blind woman I don't think anyone was too mad they got turned into horses. On the pronunciation of zhici: Lizheng is correct, that is how zhici is pronounced in Chinese! That's also how it's written in pinyin, the Chinese equivalent of romaji. Chinese pronunciation is actually quite different from English pronunciation, which is why it's easy to get thrown off by how it's written vs how it's spelled. I will give a heads up that Lizheng doesn't actually pronounce Chinese words correctly 100% of the time, and he doesn't pronounce tones, so I'd still cross check his pronunciations with other characters if you want to pronounce things accurately. I think I mentioned in my comment on the 1.6 trailer reaction that the character who has the most accurate pronunciation is Jiu Niangzi, so generally if she pronounces something differently from Lizheng, use hers. I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far and that you didn't find it slow! I do think the setup and mystery it presents is really, really good, though I'm also one of the people who found it super slow paced. It's good you didn't feel it was slow and you could enjoy it fully though! I hope the rest of the event delivers for you too. Also, I remember you mentioning in your playthrough of the Uluru event that the music was super loud and drowning out the voice acting at times, and I just wanted to warn you that the same thing happens in this event in part 19, so you might want to turn the music volume down in the settings before playing that part when you reach it so you can experience it properly because the sound balancing was really quite bad, I could barely hear the voice acting at all. As always, this was a super entertaining playthrough! I feel a little bad because between recording this event and Rimet Cup if you decide to play through that as well you'll really be very busy in this game, but hopefully after this stretch the pace will slow down a little. I'm looking forward to what you'll think of the rest of this event!

Yeah since this event is set in China, some words (like Zhici there) may sound different compared to the written version. Never thought 3 years of studying the language in school would help me make sense of it here 😆 Hope you're doing well and enjoying the event!

Here in school languages aren’t introduced super well, but it’s incredible how they STAY IN YOUR BRAIN ANYWAY! I still remember pronunciation rules for French and German too!
