Appreciate the shout-out, Brett : ) ... that was a cool moment when Fred surprised me with not only the creation of this version of the amp for me, but him naming it after me (Adam Matthew Watts=AMW)... I still use this amp on 98% of everything I record to this day.... and often with the vintage Trini Lopez Fred sold me! :) yehhaaaaaa. What an amp.
Man, I love that you talk about guitars, amps and playing techniques like normal people and don't get caught up in the "professional verbiage" that a lot of creators get lost in. I understand that need/desire to make your videos as professional as possible, but everything just comes off much more believable and sincere when you just discuss things like you would with a friend.
I love the loaded dishwasher open in the background as the 'stache' comes through the door with the delivery!!! INSANE Zep lick at 16:20... jonsin' for that Tone! You Rock!
Oh man you're killing' me your so good Bret! Re3ally diggin' ur new amp, awesome tones! I wanted to hear the loop features on it, if ya can get one in like that, be appreciated bro! Love your loose style, so cool ... Nice hearing the Robin Trower part, very cool! Keep it rockin!
Thanks man! Delays and verb were through the loop. I will be doing a more straight ahead demo of the amp soon and I will make sure to do a lot of loop stuff in there. Thanks for watching!
Fred really does make the BEST sounding guitar amps I've ever heard. I have had a couple of them and they just sound better than anything else out there. Unfortunately had to sell mine when the COVID hit. Hoping to get back into one someday. Great video.
Whenever I get I something new I do the same thing as you're doing, I've got to try all the different styles of songs I know and spend a half a day checking it out...nice amp by the way.
Totally hearing that journey sound at first with the tele and effects then I thought Eddy came back sounded great and you totally nailed the robin trower sound.
@@BrettPapaI agree It's a mixture of everything. Tuning in that tone I think is a never ending process that makes playing that more interesting! If the sound isn't right it kills the fun out it! Lol
Really nice sound. Your playing is very refreshing because you’re not doing the BS shredding that most reviewers feel is necessary. I’d rather hear guitarists play for feel, not for show. Great amp and playing. Thanks for posting this review!
I grew up hating single coils but I love the way your tele sounds through this amp with the Full Drive and added gain. Maybe my tastes are changing, I don't know but that tone is perfect. The amp looks classy too.
Yeah my tastes have totally evolved over time as well. Tele and a good amp is really tough to beat. They all have a sound. Single coils and P90's as well can get some incredible tones.
Great Demo! You used my 3 favorite guitars. I especially like the strat. I've never heard of that amp before but it sounded awesome. It goes without mentioning, but I'll say it anyway, you're a fantastic guitar player!
Brett, you have some of the best tone on YT ever!! Love it!! Looking at a used RSA to fill Vox void in amp squad. Will see!! May be getting a Source Audio Collider to cover delay/reverb on new mini board. Trying to simplify rig!! Cheers!!
Dude no! The rule is you NEVER trade a custom shop strat...EVER. its bad carma, bad luck and bad everything. All custom shop strats are to be sent directly to me...this is humane, reasonable, and the right thing to do.
Gig type settings are the most realistic, and what is used when you are playing in a band situation. Bedroom rock stuff is fun… but that’s more for self indulgence. Amp sounds great!
I was hoping you could get into just the variations of the 9/15 settings and also the 3 different voltage inputs and how they differ. Also toggle between the tube while showing knob settings thanks for the demo
@@BrettPapa if I have your attention….. please do more if the Rythum Loop lessons about playing with beats in your members section …… I can’t find anything like it anywhere else….. and you really only teased us with how deep that could go ….. , I am sure everyone would love some lessons added to that series !!
Alll aboard the Tone Train, next stop eternal bliss. The more watts the better the sound. I can hardly wait until you get an amp so big it takes an 18 wheeler flatbed trailer to haul it. LOL How about a tube chart breakdown ? I hope you are having a blast and enjoying your new amp. Great demo. 👏👍🎸🙏😎✌️
Hello, Brett this sounds amazing all the more your cabinet is UA ox ? Really ? It is so good. Could you tell me if it’s really UA ox on this video and please which settings it is. I would swear it is a real cabinet. Thanks for your response.
WOW the usual problem with overdriven sounds is always intermodulation distortion that gums up the low end Your setup here has none! I love how the chords dont have any ugly artifacts to cause mud
I use overdrive also & dorun into any "Muddy sounding notes, low or high.I don't have the pedal full throttle either,, but .I like hearing the sound of the guitar. Little OD. But not past 1/2 way.Thats me, a old guy...LoL.
Maybe I missed it, if the master is on 10 and you're running the gain pretty hot, how are you controlling the overall volume? With one of the OX's behind you? That amp sounds amazing.
Hey thank you for the reply, anyway it just seems more logical to always have plenty of power and be able to turn down the volume. Although if you only have 5 or 10 watts unit and need 100 -200 watts you can't turn up or add any more power to equipment too small or already maxed out. (The more musical talente you have the bigger the audience and the bigger the audience the more power you will need. ) if you're lucky enough to get to that talent level.
What a fykking great sound. I love everyting you do and know you are a real drive guy, but but could you sometimes, just sometimes, demonstrate the clean tone… :-)
Just depends. Usually about 3 months. There are a lot of dealers around though that might have what you are looking for. There should be a dealer list on the site.

They remind of Mesa amps. Not Boogie, Just Mesa. Not Mesa/Boogie either. Just Mesa amps, cause the meat and potatoes with power is what they are.

@@BrettPapa what IR?
The More power and quality the better if it's too much for you just turn it down to were you or your studio cab handle it.
Cranking it up with tube amps definitely effects the tone and usually in a good way. However sometimes too much is too much haha!
