I have brought four sets of tires from them in the past 6 years for my Jeep and my hunting truck. Their tires are #1 quality. Love their mud tires
I love them too!
WHO_TEE_WHO Whats the name of the company again ?
Toyo open country is very similar in the price point ...
My set from Tire Recappers on my street F150 had little treadwear after three years and no issues. I am buying a new set for my Explorer and hope to get the same service from them. I understand they use a heavier silicon base for better tire wear.
Only issue I've ever had with those Goodyears was, in New Mexico, Summer of 2017. Hydroplaning. But in New Mexico, in the summer, when it rains, you get 5 inches almost immediately. No joke, there were people pulling off the road. I was stupid, kept going, and I was crapping my drawers sliding all over the highway at speed. Slowed down to 30, no problems.
Literally just ordered a set about 5 minutes ago thanks to your video. Much appreciated thank you for sharing!
👍👍
Name of the web please.
Tirerecappers
Thanks Brother! Not sure if I should run them on my welding truck? It weighs 11,000 lbs. Plus, I pull my 29 foot camper with it. Good ol 7.3 with 300,000 miles
Bought a set for my truck based mostly off your review. They arrived yesterday (ordered Monday and they arrived Thursday in Alabama) Fast shipping and tires look and ride good. Very impressed so far. Hopefully I’ll get some good miles out of them, time will tell. They’ve probably sold a few tires off your review. You might get that sponsorship after all!!
That would be nice 😆. Never had any problems with them
How'd they turn out?
Thanks for the info. I never knew they made recaps for personal vehicles. I been driving semis for a long time and have really never had an issue with recaps unless they were really worn out. But honestly if the Department of Transportation is okay with 80k+ pound truck rolling down the highway on recaps (except steers) I’m sure they will be okay on a 4 wheeler.
Are those suretrack wide climbers mt2 on that black truck in the back iff yes how do like em just got a set and was wondering...?
Tahnk you brother in the process of ordering two right now, thank God, had two tires good bad on the way home from work, had to drive 3.5 hours shaking all the way home, thank you for this video brother God bless you and your family God is Love
Thanks for watching
I always forget to rotate mine as well man 🤦🏿♂️ it’s can extend the life of you wheels when you take care of em …buying a set tomorrow morning
Another reason why I love your channel! It's there anything you don't do! Love ya brother! WHOTEEWHO!!
😝😝😝
Good to know you have a couple of nice Ford's that aren't used for 50cal practice. 😁
Those are some badass looking tires buddy. A truck without off road worthy rubber is really just a family sedan 😁😆😂🤣
thanks for the info. I bought new tires last year for half price off but yours are cheaper than mine.
That’s a nice Excursion man!!
I am sorry I didn't get that, where did you say you bought this tires?
I really appreciate it for the info i was looking for a set of all terrains i hope you get the sponsonship!
I'm really thinking about getting a set of these for my 2013 F-150. The only thing that worries me is the reviews are so mixed. Some people such as yourself love them with no issues. Others they flew apart and caused 1000's of dollars in damage to thier vehicles. Its making it difficult lol.
I have logged over 100,000 miles on my excursion only running retreads. Anyone whoever told me retreads were no good were only going off heresay and not real life experience.
Great Info! Thanks! Save one or two of the old tires for the range!!!!
I did!
Thank you sir from Amarillo tx I appreciate the info I just ordered some for my black widow dodge I am telling them you recommended me to them Thank you sir
👍👍
Try Milestar Patagonia mt tires, they are cheap and the quietest mud tires I have ever had. I have run at tires that are louder.
Yup KO tread n gr8 video n I definitely will check the recap out.
Thanks for the info I'll keep that in mind for my next tire purchase
Thanks man. I'm gonna get a set for my pickup. Love the videos!!
👍👍
Thank you very much for the information and web site link.
Thanks! I have a Ram 2500 that takes E-rated tires so I’m going to check this place out.
Yup these are e rated tires on the excursions
I just bought a set and I was wondering how long did it take for them to get shipped out and for you to receive them?
Few days
I worked at a tire shop a long time ago and at that time retreads were not of very high quality. I had never considered them since.
Kind of like living in a trailer in wichita
Good info! I’m looking at buying a set now - did you get a matched set? Just wondering if you can tell a noticeable difference (look goofy) if Not matching? Thanks again
Yes got matched set
A bought a set of Lexani AT.. $500 in Feb 2019. 32,000 miles. Still like new.
Thanks WHO_TEE_WHO perfect timing I've been looking for some new tire or my 4runner I'll be checking them out
Any info on how these held up with your 4Runner?
@WendzDarKnight08 after I made this comment my 4runner blew the transmission and its been parked. Sorry couldn't help
@@IROC-ZNM blame the tires? Jk
The cheapest tires I have bought is Michelin. I’m not joking when I say this. The ride is great, they are quiet and I got 80,000 miles and still had tread left. Only reason I got rid of them is cause I sold the truck. That was on a dodge Cummins 3/4 ton crew cab. I did rotate them and kept air pressure correct. I’m convinced I could of got more miles out of them. I had some Hankooks on the same truck before and they roared and didn’t ride great and wore really bad. One section would have tread the next section would be wore. Was not happy with them at all. This new dodge I got came with Firestones. I already have 30,000 hard towing miles and they are wearing good. But I will be going back with Michelin’s unless these last a lot longer and the truck is about to be traded. I have been impressed with some Bridgestones on another vehicle as well. I’m not saying those tires aren’t a good value though. If they ride good, wear correctly and get at least 45-50k it will be a great value. I have stopped buying recaps for our big trucks. We blow them like crazy in the summer months when we are loaded heavy. But I’m talking about semi tire recaps.
Just ordered a set of 33s after watching this video. I’ve had a lot of cheap eBay virgin tires on my cars and deal with balancing issues all the time. Even if these are as bad as some people say they’re cheaper so no harm done.
I have them on my daily driver truck right now.
Miss my Ford Excusion Limited V-10. It killed me when gas was $5/gal. But my Monster was my F250 on a 12" Superlift Kit with 44" Gumbo Mudders runnin' a Mustang GT 5.0 with straight Flowmasters. And those looked like Dick Cepek Fun Country tires.
9/20/2023 - P265/65R18 Retread Backwoods AT $567.96 for a 2019 Silverado if anyone was wondering. That's also with the fee for a matching set of casings.
Before and after shots just like the shootin range 👍.
Thats a serious $ saving right there, I suppose with what you saced you'll buy another gun and ammo. 👍🔫👍
Can put the link of the store for shop a tires 33x12.50x15 I looking for this size thanks
Be careful with cheap tires. Wet weather performance can be quite poor with them. You can easily have much longer braking distances with cheap tires that don't grip well when wet. In some cases it can be doubled over a premium tire.
Thanks for the information I will be checking them out thanks agay woo tee woo
Should you choose the match set, where they match the casings of the tires, before purchasing, or is that not needed?
Up to you. Just depends if you want your sidewalls to match ot not
Things like this is why I like watching your video's
Thank you Frankie
Dang, hard to say something about the 450 on this one. Lol. Them tires would look nice on my 99 grand marquis
thank you i bought a set because i seen your video love them on my truck cost was up but still cheap compared to new set
👍👍 always been good to me. Have them on my truck right now
I didn't know they still made fun countries! Had a set of 40s on my 78 bronco! Lol
.
men thanx for the video 💯. just right on time fr 💯.
👍👍
Thanks for posting ❤
Thanks for watching
I miss Excursions! BEST Big Man SUV ever! Thanks for the vid and the link!
I love excursions
@@WHOTEEWHO They're the BEST. Hopefully they'll be in production again since gas prices are much lower now. I Texas it's $1.22 in most places. Thanks for the response and video again!
Unfortunately I just sold both my excursions....needed the money 😭😭😭
@@WHOTEEWHO Sorry to hear that bud. Try finding another one and make it another project adding all the cool stuff like before. That's always the fun part putting your personal touches on a stock ride. I do it all the time when I get bored of a project I finished. Doing it now on a truck and a 90's Bronco. ;-)
Mine I ordered has rubber overspray that looks awful but they were only $450 so I guess issues are expected. The company states its normal and doesn’t affect performance
And now 20,000 miles later they’ve separated and I’ve had to replace. Don’t buy them!
Are they good on wet pavement?
Oh yeah i forgot to say those tread patterns will sling small rocks that get stuck in the tread pattern all over your trucks side panel. But the tires looks awesome and handle really good👍👍
Yup always slinging rocks
Got the 7.3 diesel? Build your excursion like the blk one! Looks mean
Nope 6.8L v10
nice tires thumbs up and shared great buy
When you mounted theses tires on the Excursion, did they balance out good? I'm looking to put these on my F-250
Balanced just fine. I ran the same tires for 3 years no problems on my other excursion
How many miles did you get out of them
Put over 30,000 on these and they still have plenty of what most would consider driveable tread on them
They normally take a lot of weight to balance
Sweet Tires!.
Thank you for this video. I need new tires!!!
Thanks for watching Bryan!
Thanks man. Right in Nashville and I never even knew.
Only place I buy tires! They have been there like over 50 years
WHO_TEE_WHO I will definitely check them out. Thanks.
Going on 2 years with mine (Jeep TJ)
Whats the wheel tire suspension setup on the black excursion?
Don't remember. Sold it
That Excursion so heavy if you don't wanna get stuck I wouldnt go for anything less than 35in mudders
My cousin got a set of tires on his truck and they are Goodyear...he said look at the back set and the front set. They looked the same but the back set were new and the front were 6 months old. He said they were suppose to be the best thing out now. $500 each lol
🤣🤣🤣 I cant afford all that
Check out travel star eco path tires!
Hey how are these tires holding up? I can't seem to find many reviews online on these so I'm a little sketched to order them.
Zero problems
@@WHOTEEWHO Awesome, glad to hear it. Thanks for the quick reply, how many miles would you say you've put on them roughly? They look like ko2's with a different sidewall. I've had a few sets of ko2s, I'm assuming these have similar traction and road noise.
I've had tread separation on recaps I just can't run them.
Tires for my current car in Alaska where $276 a tire and Washington it was $129 a tire.
I've had tread separation on non-retreads 🤣. Not all retreaders are created equal. Like I said in the video, I have years of experience with this company. Zero problems
@@WHOTEEWHO had 3 tires lose tread at about the same time at almost 70mph had maybe 100 miles on them, Was last time I ever ran recaps, that is only time I have had tires throw tread off.
Like I said. Not all retreads are created equal. My experience with this company is flawless
I’ve had the belts break on two tires from tire recapppers. Just remember the casing is on its 2nd life; it will dry rot quicker than you can sometimes use all the tread.
Thanks for the info...Don’t need tires right now but I made a note about this place.
Escursion King! 👑
Shoot...I just paid 1000 for 4 tires for my Accord...) I'm sure these tires are great, but I don't skimp on the tires. Give me a solid brand name especially when mama bear and the cubs are off on a trip. Peace of mind that she and the kids are safe, is worth every penny.
But for a mud machine, looks good to me.
Goodyear Assurance WeatherMax. Only way they spin on ice and snow is if you do something silly like floor it. After almost getting in a crash with some cheaper treads, I only go for the best like I said, if mom and the kids are in that car, those tires are the best quality available.
That is what they want you to think. Marketing scam. I have been running these tires forever. Don't believe the people who are after your money
Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching!
That's handy. i just spent $2800 on the front end of my Dually F350. Need two front tires before I get an alignment done. I'll check them out. do tirecappers also sell guns ? that would be a big plus. tires+guns on the same page :-)
Ha! I wish they did!
How are these tires now after 4 years? Think these would be ok to tow a 14k 5th wheel?
2 Excursions - sweet!
Never had any issue. Also have them on my f250 now
Jeez that’s an incredible deal!!! Some guys way up here in the North pay more then that for one rim, never mind all 4 tires. Hey I didn’t say they were smart guys lol Great heads up on an incredible deal though. You know what, maybe they *should* pay you! Oh by the way, you doin’ the videos with Kentucky Patriot was really awesome of you. That was a LONG drive for coffee & range time, but I’m sure you gents had a great day! 😁👍🏽
Kentucky Patriot is a good dude
You’re both great guys, with awesome channels! Looking forward to your next video, and collaboration videos!!
What color is your excursion? Is it black or like a midnight blue? I can't really tell
Black
@@WHOTEEWHO let me tell ya brother Is freaking badass to the bone! You just gave me an idea 💡 of what to do with mine!!
Are you still using the same place? I've thought about going with them for my truck.
Yes I am. Just bought more for my f250
@@WHOTEEWHO awesome!
Damn nice Excursion man
Sold it
Thanks for the tip mate :-)
Thanks for watching!
Tread looks like BFG All-Terrains. Nice ride
That is what I was thinking, very similar.
Recaps do last a lot longer. But I will never put a recap on a steer axle.
Illegal to do so here👍
Cheap tires can be a hit and miss but mostly I've had good luck. I paid $1,000 for 4 tires before and there was no difference between the $400 tires.
Yup. Tires are a scam
Thats where i get my drive and trailer tires for my semi.
Good place
How many old tires does it take to stop the 50 BMG
👍👍
Damn I thought this was Scott frost
Nice new shoes.....Good stuff....
Good tires!
Nice looking tires! Can you air them down to go off road without any issues? I’m in the market for tires.
I've only ever used them for very light offloading with full tire pressure
That's a really good deal bud
I've had recaps fail withing a week or two... then again I've had some last a very long time. The trouble is, you never know what might happen. When PROPERLY done, recaps can be a good budget option. I used to live next door to people that ran a recapping company. Their tires lasted a long time...after they moved away, I bought some from Monkey Wards, they didn't last two weeks. The tread came off the front in heavy holiday traffic at 70 mph... could have been disastrous.
We started having problems with recaps on big trucks (low pros 295/75/22.5s). Summer months when we are really loaded heavy we popped them like crazy. Sometimes we got lucky. Most of the time not. B
@@halfdollar86 recaps are particularly bad for big trucks. big, heavy loads... all it takes in one spot to fail, which is more possible on larger recaps with heavy loads, the tire pops the tread if not worse. Most states you cannot put them on the tractor, some states not even the trailer (trailer carries most weight... so it's still problematic if they do allow it)
toot tall exactly why we stopped using them
@@halfdollar86 I don't buy them these days either, even if I could find some. As hard as it is to find tires to fit my ride though, I might be tempted if the price was right. My car takes 15's, and if you try to find used ones just to get by on for a while, it's very difficult and they're still kinda pricey if you do. One with decent tread left on it runs about 50 bucks, but new when I can find them are only about 65 to 75 so I buy new.... if I can find them, they're even getting difficult to find on the shelf new. Last time I had to order them.
look into it and i see they are recaps/retreaded tires
Retread process
What size are the tires you bought?
Don't remember
You get what you pay for. Me personally I'll never buy a tire that's been retreated. It's mostly why you see semi tires explode.
Not true. The marketing people at the tire manufacturers have brainwashed you. Not all retreads are created equal
You get what you pay gor
Great video always like them
Thanks for watching Jackson!
@@WHOTEEWHO your welcome which is your favorite cal 30 06 or 308
308 because ammo is cheaper
Pre- COVID here We want our prices back
it need front end lined up
Funny you can pay extra for matched cases.
I know this video is a year old. BUT how are the tires holding up? Any tread peeling?
Zero problems
Just ordered a set of 35x12.50R20 MT because of this video. $650!!! So cheap! Thankyou!
@@timgoelz3586 I have put these tires on 2 different excursions and had zero problems over the past 5 years
Did you have any problems balancing them?
No problems balancing
Gracias for the tip
👍👍
leao are good tires for a truck ? 33x12.5R20
Yup
@@WHOTEEWHO Atlas tires are good ?
Haven't had much time to keep up! Been working a lot lately and I'll try to catch up this weekend, if I'm off! Stay Safe Brother and GOD Bless!🙏🇺🇸 Who_Teee_Whoooo!!!
Whoteewho!!!
How are the tires. Holding. Up
Never had any problems. Used these tires for 4 years. Have since sold that excursion
I have done it this ONCE! Never again. Four out of six took a shit and separated. They won’t hold up to the south Texas heat on a heavy truck.
Not all are created equal. I have never had a problem
I feel your pain….I had 2 of 8 fail from tire recappers… on the highway.
Having my set put on today the tire place is aaying they are requiring to much weight to balance
I have ordered 2 full sets and never had any problems 🤷♂️
Got them installed drove home doing 70 they did just fine recaps on a semi are a lot different than recaps on a regular truck regular trucks are not carrying tons of weight all the time causing faster wear
I would think that you shot at yr tiers
Tread wright is a good one also. I put a set of their all terrains on a box van I had, I even bought the Blems and never had a problem.
