This man, despite not having any powers, single handedly infiltrated the Psychonauts and managed to unleash the very thing that destroyed his kingdom, back into the world. And he's just ONE of the multiple, if not, many of the people described as "The Deluginists". Just imagine how much power the rest of them have.
i'm 99% sure the maliks were the ONLY deluginists, considering that any and all grulovians were implied to be washed out by maligula, excluding agustus. but it's still possible there are others who were!

Except the time where he's NOT voicing himself, he's being voiced by Elijah Wood." I feel like this is a good lesson; make games that are genuinely good, to the point that actual effing celebrities are fans of them, and then ask them to provide voicework to one, and they'll just be like "No problem!"

I love little things like that. In the first game you can find one of Coach Oleander’s memories vaults in his head, he kind of wants you to find it. It showcases all of his heroics during wartime. It later turns out to be complete bullshit, but an early hint that this memory vault is fabricated is that he’s SUPER TALL in EVERY picture. It’s something I honestly didn’t notice til like my third or fourth play through.
Man, with Elijah AND Jack Black, it took me almost half the game to figure out it was them voicing the characters. I'm normally really good at recognizing voices. Also 5:32 Raz idle animations of doing stunts is adorable!
Jack Black was immediately recognizable, but yeah, I didn't realize that was Elijah Wood until very late in the game. You don't have any reason to think Nick is an important character at first, so you don't expect him to be voiced by anyone famous.
I think it’s cool how the sideburns make a Czar-like moustache from the side. Kind of foreshadowing but you don’t see it from that angle until he walks past during the reveal
I belive there are also two lines he has during the cutscene you first visit mail Ford. I only remember those because of how much they foreshadow in hindsight.

Holy shit! It was already awesome enough that the game was constantly saying my name but now I find out the character was played by one of my favorite actors!
They really did handle the relationship between the two well. It's not exaggerated, and you can definitely hear this from just about any type of couple that really do love each other.
I feel like we got the best of both worlds with gay representation. Fullbear was artistic and flamboyant, and Bob was more reserved and conventional. That’s the right way to go about it as a writer, you don’t just slip it in, or just revel in it at max volume, you have a range like in real life.
It was some of the most tasteful gay stuff I've seen in media, no over the top sexuality, just 2 dudes who played in a band together and got hitched. Thought it was going to be cringe but no, it was a rather normal relationship plus the gay. Good on them.

I was like ‘I Will Pretend I Did Not See That.’ But it definitely ruined the twist for me. I still enjoyed the game immensely though!!
