Found your channel a couple months ago. You are an inspiration and a blessing to many others. When I was struggling with finances, cleaning, raising my son, etc, UA-cam didn’t even exist yet (I’m old, lol)! Add this to your sink envelope…a nice sink will bring you encouragement every time you use. Blessings to you and your family.

I had to keep reminding myself that one of my big jobs as a mom was to make sure when they were grown they had the ability to manage their own home, finances, relationships, etc. So we split all the chores including laundry, cleaning, and home maintenance and rotated so we all had a chance to learn together. When they became teenagers we sat down and figured how much I spent on them including snacks, clothes, school supplies, entertainment, etc. I took that and gave it to them in a monthly allowance and helped them learn to plan for future expenses. This helped them learn the value of making their money stretch, plan for big expenses like new gaming systems, and deal with the consequences of spending money too fast. My boys are grown now and both have better credit ratings than me, keep their homes nice, and are the kindest men I’ve ever met. I count myself a successful momma and couldn’t be more proud ❤️

I just bought the mobile home I've been renting. It's very old and needs lots of love, but I'm over the moon happy. I lived in a beautiful home with my ex-husband, and I walked away from it. Praying for total healing to his heart! Heart line up with the word! Jesus said,” By His strips We Are Healed.” It’s by our faith that we will receive! Even if you have the size of a mustard seed! He is your Father and wants to heal you! We just need to know when we ask anything from Him , He will Do It! See Your Husband healed and not sick! And you will see him everyday getting better! And get busy with life, and there will be real true healing! Speak it into the atmosphere! Because when we keep talking like he still sick, satan takes our words and runs with it! There is cursing and blessing that come out of our mouth! We ask healing to his total body, total restoration in the name above every name, JESUS

What’s helped me is to concentrate on my daily 5:
    1. Make the bed
    2. 1 load laundry
    3. Dishes and counters
    4. Straighten up house
    5. Touch up bathrooms
When I stay on top of that it becomes easier and easier to keep up with. I try to start 1 load laundry before I even have my cup of coffee first thing in the morning.
    Hope this helps!

Tip🙂 leaving your washing machine lid open when it’s not being used helps keep it from smelling musty. It gives the inside a chance to air out and dry completely. I feel it helps keep the musty smell out of your clothes. I do it year round at my house. I have a top loader.🙂

Don’t be ashamed or down on yourself. You have taught me so much about myself. You say we have taught you but you are the best inspiration! You have shown me how to be me and love me. I will forever be thankful that Jesus led me to you.

This was my solution for keeping my master bath counter free of clutter. Get a storage container for you and Shane each, with a lid so they can stack, put your stuff in one, his in the other. Put them under the counter, or stack them at the end, or even on a shelf in the bedroom. When you go to take your shower,or get ready, take your container with you. As you use your stuff toss it back into the container. Put it up when your done. Now, my husband and I each have a drawer . Back in the day, we had a container. You could even do this with a cubbie for your children. Your bedroom is such a vast improvement! It looks great!

As a manufactured home owner and an owner of a doxie (and a plus size girl), I see so much of myself in you. One thing I've learned to do in my routine is do certain chores on certain days. For instance I clean the bathrooms on Tuesdays and do the floors on Sundays. It helps hold me accountable and takes the thought out of what goals to crush. I also run the dishwasher EVERY night... even if it isn't full. It might be a little wasteful, but it's worth it (to me) to not wake up to do that chore and feel behind. In the morning as coffee is brewing I'll unload the dishwasher. It works for me! ❤

AN IDEA for your bathroom counter. I think extra storage cabinets would help. A tall pantry style cabinet ( like the one beside your refrigerator) put it between your tub and sink. And I love seeing the progress you’ve made in your home and home keeping skills since I found your channel. Great job mama❤

I'm 59 and it's taken me all these years to realize that I have ADD. I can go through my house like a hurricane and not accomplish anything, because I start and stop in every room I go into. I haven't found my niche in getting things done around the house. I make lists, I try zone cleaning, I set timers, but nothing has worked. So I just do what I do and chip away at it. One thing a friend taught me years ago was instead of blocking out time to sweep or vacuum the floors every time in needed it was to just take two minutes spontaneously and pick up the big bits by hand instead of worrying about dragging out the broom or vacuum. You could have two-minute drills periodically throughout the day with your kids. “Everybody pick up bits off of the floor for two minutes!” while you play an energetic song on your phone or something. You can still do the daily sweep but it just keeps things feeling tidier throughout the day. Your home is lovely!

Good idea to check this when noticeable settling occurs, this can be from shifting and sinking and can cause a lot of problems. From my understanding this is supposed to be looked at 1 or twice a year. There’s not any trailers in the trailer park that have gutters (that I can think of) some of those trailers are from the 80s😅😂 for me though, it’s not a chance I wanna take. I told the other person I’ll definitely be looking into some gutters cause the standing water on the roof was the reason the bathroom caved in!

Love it! Clutterbug has a great tip for corralling makeup, etc. She suggests a cleaning caddy for those frequently used/daily items, and you can put solo cups in it to separate and contain the categories of smaller items. It keeps everything organized, neat, super accessible, and handy. I also like Minimal Mom's great tip for taking care of the products and items we accumulate in the bathroom that we've bought, but don't like, when we don't want to throw them out, and want to try to use them. She suggests placing them in a "wait and see" container (tote, bin, bucket, bag). This way they're corralled and accessible, but not burdensome clutter. You choose and set a time limit for either using the contents, donating, or tossing them. At the end of the "wait and see" period you've set, everything that's left is donated or let go.

Merina, one thing I would suggest is have the kids take a quick look before going to bed at night and pick up wrappers or belongings. You could even make it a game. The child that does the best job of finding and picking up whatever area they are assigned wins. Not only would it save you some work but should eventually make them more careful about dropping wrappers etc if they are tasked with picking them up before bed. You have great kids so let them help you.

You could get those hammocks for toys for the girls stuffed animals. That way they still have access to them and then put them away at night. First thing in the morning after you get dressed and make your bed, empty the dishwasher. Start a load of laundry. Run a sink of hot water for breakfast dishes. Put something in the crockpot for supper or at least know what you're going to fix. If meat or anything needs to thaw put it in the fridge. Remember what FlyLady says, progress not perfection. Now if you have any appointments or will be away from home, you will have gotten something done so you're not so overwhelmed later. I hope this reminder helps. Sending love and prayers for all of y'all. Please give Nanny a big hug from me. God bless you all.

So much
More durable. You have come so far from your first blog in your housekeeping, meals planning and DIY’s. You are so inspirational in your learning curve of being a homemaker but also in your relationship with Jesus!
