On this day, I saw Moroes actually be good. Surely, such a blessed event can never come again.
It was pretty trash in that it had pretty much no impact. It placed no pressure and then simply removed after a few turns from AoE. Trump would've lost the game if he didn't get to entomb Yogg and then praise him.
LiiChinHo It basically gave him a free mage hero power per turn. That's OK. The real problem is, best-case Moroes is "OK".
You mean a free guy. every turn get 2 mana 1/1 for free. Value town
But to evaluate the card you need to ask what it's replacement would've accomplished in the same game. Barnes could've given more Discover value.
You saw what happened the next game. He discovered a Chromaggus with Brann.
I think the value of Moroes is not worth the cost of how slow the value comes. It's an interesting card but just meh.
Moroes is the best Dragon in the deck.

Trey Grosvenor It's situationally useful, just like many other legendaries in the game. Believe me, I tried to make it work, but it's just too much of a tempo loss the turn you play it.
The card is terrible, there's no way around it. He's the only one that thinks it's good

not sure why you included moroes, I used him to see why but its really useless, yes its like having the paladin button every turn for free, but its not very big for board presence especially if the deck doesnt have an cards to make it worth while like abusive or dark iron
Because value, and Trump is biased toward value, being the Mayor of Value Town. Deep in his heart he knows it's not good though. He just wants to find a good home for the card.

Rubix Cube It cancels it out. You have so much choice in building decks that are all so strong that it doesn;t feel like you're getting beaten down by the same bullshit over and over again, because you're not! Nobody plays it so nobody is net decking because there are no decks on the net! It's a bastion of deckbuilding skill, something that doesn;t exist in standard. Where theres only a couple meta decks
nah, when you have sludge belcher, chows and healbot, you can finally build control in every class. the only real antagonist is Secret Pally, but Priest, Freeze Mage and even Malygod Shaman just dismantles that.
+Rubix Cube after Playing only Standard since the release of it wild format really is much more enjoyable. Been playing it for Few Days now and I Haven't really seen any aggro decks.
At 14:27, I don't get why he didn't attack on face with the T. Guardian. Plus, he could develop more minions that could be resistant to AoE (Blackwing Technician would be a 3/5, and the opponent would need Flamestrike with +1 spell damage - a good pressure move vs a hard combo to have at such a late stage in the game, and even then Trump would have an extra Technician at hand).

What would be a good replacement for Chillmaw ? Alexstrasza ? Nefarian ?
Does anyone know what tracker Trump uses? I've been using innkeeper but it doesn't keep track of entomb and cards that add things to your deck and I noticed his tracker showed that he had 2 sylvannas when he entombed.
I feel like moroes shouldn't be in a deck with chillmaw and ysera (you know how she likes to awaken).
He probably just shouldn't be in any competitive deck to be honest.

Times Brann would've been better, or more useful than Moroes:
7:25 Brann + Azure, draw second card, live through lightning storm and have lethal 1 turn earlier.
23:24 Brann + Shield, later get a 4/6 Twilight Guardian, which doesn't die to bookwyrm and lives through elemental destruction.

How do you all feel about dragon priest vs dragon pally? I personally have been trying out dragon pally and even though I don't have chillmaw or trion (ufortuantely) I still love the deck, and have had some sucess.
Damn get tirion asap, it's like auto include in any paladin deck, even aggro ones. Just like playing hunter without call of the wild, insanity

All of these comments immediately trashing moroes. And I totally understand, I don't really like it either. But that game against mage was INSANE value. If I was more awake I'd count up all the pings spent on the 1/1's, not even counting the arcane blast 'wasted' on one.
In a class with no chance of a ping, and relatively weak single-target damage (smite being the only cheap one, then you jump to holy fire), I can see his value.

come on trump, use your hero power when you have mana to spare. you never know when your opponent is going to play nexus champion Saraad, hero power, mulch, and give you a frost giant.

could you replace chilmaw/sylvannas with rag? and what about barnes?
Chilmaw is pretty good for a board clear/dragon synergy and rag doesn't give that. You could try swapping rag with sylvannas i suppose

Q: In the second game (vs Mage), why not attack face with Twilight Guardian?
The opponent cast blessing of wisdom on it so he was debating whether or not he wanted to draw his opponent a card by attacking (fatigue). He decided he didn't want the opponent to draw a card so he didn't attack.

Not really, you could substitute it with escavated evil if you want the 3 DMG

nah, Dragon's happen to have priest synergy. every non-priest dragon > priest class
lost 10 games straight, many times I was at half health by turn four. Too much fast aggro and this deck doesn't have much in the way of clears since it doesn't have excavated evil or auchenai+circle or even a pyromancer. it doesn't even have much in the way of healing so shamans, hunters, druids, mages can burst you down from half even if you manage to stabilize on the board.

Honestly they're nowhere near as bad as they're made out to be.
It's just a combination of Priest always playing slow games which makes ladder climbing slow, and their winrate being slightly lower than other classes at high levels.

5:05 misplay - Trump should've attacked first and then Holy Nova'd so the Twilight Guardian would have 1 extra health. Pretty big deal because otherwise it wouldn't have died to Azure Drake.
With my Dragon Priest deck, which has substantially less late game in order to run 2 Holy Nova and 2 Excavated Evils, I still lost to 3 aggro decks in a row while drawing good curves. I can't imagine this deck doing any better with the dragon discovery card (way too slow in the only meta that ever exists in Hearthstone {SMOrc SMOrc SMOrc SMOrc}) and not even 1 Excavated Evil, oh and only 1 Shadow Word Pain. Winning against aggro with the deck Trump is using is all luck, if they get a good draw he'll lose almost every game.
Id so would like to pay inner fires in this deck, as there is four 3/6 and e 4/12 + two power word shields
Would you say dragons priest beats dragons paladin? I play a lot of dragons decks since the synergy was added (including very gimmicky ones, like dragons rogue... surprisingly not too bad!), and most of the time I disagree when people say dragons priest is better. I like dragons paladin much more, just because of the Consort that allows to put the synergy into overdrive... and besides, dragons paladin now has some interesting cards to play early.

Moroes is *only* good if you can follow up with Power Word: Sheild. Otherwise, it's just average considering the amount of ways it could die.
Sorry Trump, I don't think your Moroes dream is going to come true any time soon. Warrior, Shaman, and (tempo) Mage make up like 50% of the meta, maybe more. And they can all deal with him pretty easily.
I am playing Dragon Priest again too, though. and I think it's fairly decent again. :)
