COMMUNITY QUESTION: What are the technical issues you are experiencing in the game?
I cannot see my buff icons half the time on my hotbar. I'll accidently use another gathering food buff thinking it's not active.
No Asia server. Rtt is always 200 because of it.

Reposting here for visibility. The biggest issue I experience is ping/latency to the server. I've done quite a bit of research and troubleshooting into the issue and can't seem to find any more improvements to it. My understanding is that we are connecting to an AWS server, maybe an edge location not sure, but my ping on New World will be ~40ms higher than a comparable game server in a similar regional location in another game. I'm curious to know why the discrepancy exists and if there are any plans to improve that latency across the board. I know networking is a complex issue with a lot of moving parts, but it has always seemed odd to me that on a different game, I can play on a server in relatively the same geographical location and have significantly better latency.
1. Not being able to see some ones company they are in when you hover over their name. This worked like the first two weeks of the game and now 95% of the time it doesn't work.
2. When harvesting bugs, the circle completes as if you gathered it, but it isn't gathered and you have to continue to wait. Something to do with speed bonus not working I think.
3. RTT doesn't go up, but it goes to 0 and there are desync/latency issues associated when this occurs. Usually when entering a new area.
4. Add outgoing healing to all disease's. Abilities like bile bomb don't have an outgoing heal debuff associated with them.
5. When you enter and leave OPR, achievement notifications.
6. Fix the mining/gathering sounds that are in caves etc. I think I'm going to have to sue due to hearing lose from this.
7. Numerous UI issues with fortify/rend calculations. (50 con bonus, sturdy shield SNS passive)
8. Repairing OPR doors - shouldn't be able to repair when 10+ ppl + brute are beating on it. Has to be a bug....
9. Cannot change your gear set in the "box" in 3v3 arenas. I thought this was fixed, but still doesn't work.
10. Mob for weaponsmith hat isn't in the game any more.
11. sometimes buffs on your bar disappear. Also, the bar should also be reworked to show 2 rows, buffs and debuffs. Same on enemy mobs, should be able to see all debuffs not just a few.
12. you cannot lock some mount attachments from being salvaged.
13. When you are far from your group, you can see their color'd icons, but as you get closer they disappear making it hard to stick with your group. It would be great if we could see these all the time.
The best part of new world is the combat. I’ve been addicted to it for the last two years since launch. All we need is some more content to use the combat in. PvP modes like capture the flag, new OPR map, ranked 3v3s, 20 man PvE raids. Please.

yea sad to say if they don't come up with something new soon the game will probably die out more populations are already on the decline they need to add and i know its a tall task to ask but more then one new pvp mode pvp is what is going to keep people playing the game not pve if the pvp is fun more people will consistently play the game and unfortunately with opr and pve being so strong in it its not fun wars are fun but gated and 3v3 are just ok but we need something new capture the flag opr with no pve practice war that people have been asking for since launch this game has a lot of potential its just what is actually possible that is the question like i said earlier most people play the game for the combat style so too have only 3 pvp modes 1 of which sometimes seems more pve at times with people just building annoying doors and not fighting and summoning brutes is kind of bad the map hasn't changed for 2 years now I mean do you really have to ask why people are becoming uninterested in the game I'm a die hard ill play the game till it dies unfortunately there is not a lot of players like me
Yep, it's really awesome how much of an impact a skilled player can have. Imo it's the most competitive game there is, far more competitive than dota, lol or counter strike

Thank you for your effort, guys. I appreciate that you are not used to being in front of the camera, especially Ed bless him. I think everything that was talked about in this episode is so important. However, the general public doesn't have the knowledge to comprehend this. As such, I suspect you might get quite a bit of hate, but please, don't stop keeping your heads down and focused, and don't ever stop these videos from coming. Optimization for mid range PC's should be a huge priority.
With all that being said, it's very reasuring to know that you " have brought in a lot of features but now want to take a step back to optimize everything." Whilst this will be a hit to the game short term, it will absolutely show that you don't plan on abandoning the game in the next 2 years and that you have a vision for it coexisting with other titles in the category.
Bro game needs content weve all been saying it for over a year now, lmao, PVP combat only thing keeping us around, lack of pvp maps and new modes may kill even that off. now is not the time to only be giving us scraps, not many pvpers left now because of the lack of content and poor balance, if S4 really has as little as Ive heard it has, im not so sure game can recover, many will just stop playing....and theres not a lot of people playing still....
This game has the best foundation and potential out of any modern day mmo, not sure if you guys or the Amazon games ceos realize that but bring in double the dev team pump out a banger of an update then scale back to this size to continue with updates and you could milk this for 10+ years. Otherwise it’s going to be a painful road ahead

AGS is really putting in the effort to make the game enjoyable for all of us. They actively engage with the community, consistently roll out smaller updates for bug fixes and optimization, and take player feedback seriously for adjustments and improvements. They're keeping an eye on balanced gameplay, offering a solid lore with potential for more depth, and ensuring fair monetization.
In my opinion, they're doing things right, but hitting that sweet spot takes time. It's also worth noting that it's impossible to please everyone, so there might still be aspects that a small fraction of the community finds unenjoyable, even if the majority is still having a good time.
Also: Hiring more developers means increased costs. While a successful MMO can generate revenue, there's no guarantee that the increased investment in development will be immediately offset by additional profits.

It's incredible what the team is doing for the game, but we need new types of pvp and also a new map for outpost.
Have you ever imagined a specific map with pvp objectives between factions all day long? Maybe a map with several small castles that could be dominated by factions. 😊😉

The two issues I'm having with the game currently is that lifering amulet still can't be upgraded despite it being said in a earlier video that it would be fixed(most items were), but I guess that's fixed with the next season. Second, I'm really annoyed at the "Capture control point"-thing showing at the top of the screen, right above the current time in mutated expeditions. Like, I'm in a expedition, I would like to that message to go away so I can see our time. It's not like I can capture anything while in the expedition. Optimization to reduce stuttering and improve FPS in the worst cases is highly appreciated. :) Love the game!

I’ve been trying to figure out ways to make the game enjoyable for players who get bored after they get their gear sets, and those who don’t get to hold a candle to the sweaty company’s.
It would be great if NW had their own version of Torghast from WoW, or The coil from Destiny 2.
It would be really cool to see something like that and the rewards for it be different colored titles or hard to get mounts for reaching different waves.
I would just like to know why I sometimes find trees or ore nodes that I can see but cannot mine, I give half a swing and then stop and nothing gets mined like the node isn't even there even though I can see it.
1 - We need NPCs to sell stuffs.
2 - More PVP content (new maps or modes, like capture the flag)
3 - More gold reward at lvl 200 on PVP track
And dont forget about one thing: MORE CONSTITUTION, LESS DAMAGE. This will help A LOT on pvp balance :D

Is archery/gunnery going to go back to it's initial (proposed?) projectible physics detection from hit-scan?
also, tab targeting could be worked in as a nerfed option for new weapons/abilities for those of us more casual mmo players. A great way to attract new players who just want to join their friends/partners/parents and heal a party w/o feeling overwhelmed by game play. Heck, it doesn't even need to be tab but take a page from DAOC with "Spread Healing".

I was running a 1080ti @ 1440p with a i7-8700k and upgraded to a 4090 with amd7900x3d @ 3840x1440 and the game is so beautiful and smooth running now at very high 144 fps. Still during chest runs even with a beefy pc you can see drops to as low as 45 during the most intensely populated clumps. Its just a classic cpu bottleneck.
New world combat is by far the best fantasy MMO combat I've ever played!
Thanks for the video! Technical issues are the same as all the things mentioned - rubberbanding, lag and stutter (especially in Brimstone and New Corsica), and having loading screens freeze completely when teleporting. I have an awesome gaming computer with 1G Internet, so I'm hoping there are a lot of server-side optimizations and performance gains to be made.
obviously new world is moving in many directions at the same time and i understand the constraints it puts into optimizing it, i just hope this strive for better performance keeps being pushed forward, as a war player it can be a bit annoying to play new world sometimes considering you basically need to live next to servers with a nasa computer to be able to play on point with more than 35fps
issue with gpu / fps chash computer , can you add more option to cap the fps : ex 80 fps 90 fps 100 fps 120 fps instead of the uncap mode after 60fps option that make crash due to the game core atm thanks

Is the first time a developer takes their time to explain how server communication works, means a lot to me. Im new to New World but not to MMORPG, the problem im encountering with New World is not the game, is the community, Im a healer and they hate us.
When will you add a feature to change your character name?
Idk why I should watch this video. I literally experience the same bugs I’ve experienced for the last 2 years in game. While at times the game runs better, I still can get horrible performance, lag, random disconnects and desync, delayed inputs. Weapon swap still doesn’t work since I have it bound to my mouse and apparently the game can’t handle the inputs when it’s bound to your mouse. I am still spammed with notifications every single time I go in and out of opr. Every update brings more problems that it aims to fix. Hard for me to take this video seriously.
After watching 10 minutes. Yup hard to take these devs seriously. Their job is hard! This game demands more from the server than other mmos! Bunch of just sorry ass excuses for us to feel pitty for them or something, like it’s somehow our problem that the game they created is on an engine that blows chunks. Their game is unplayable at times but they rather not fix it to add more features that don’t work lol. Okay what a bunch of jokers no wonder this game player count dwindles. Such a shame, they had a gem and just continue to throw it in the trash.
Same. I'm using a 4070 and I usually get around 180-200+ fps, when I'm doing 3v3 arena and constantly load in and out and in and out, after an hour of doing that my fps will drop off a cliff for no reason and I'll start experiencing issues, restarting the game fixes everything but I've never experienced anything like this in any other game.
To add to my rant, what’s the deal with artifacts? Why are some broken over powered and others complete garbage or not even in the game? What kinda fat joke is that? Why are some artifacts locked in dungeons I can’t play for over a month at a time???? HELLO??? Who thought this was a good idea? You guys sit there and probably have weekly meetings how to improve the game and still keep coming up with the same brain dead ideas to lock items behind such am gated mechanics sprinkled with rng. I have also completed over 50 pvp tracks at rank 200 and still haven’t gotten artifacts I want that are extremely “meta” and very overpowered. I am at a disadvantage simply for not using these artifacts and there isn’t a damn thing I can do. Just pure incompetence.
Can you talk about performance drops after loading in and out of arena over an exteneded period, i don't enjoy having to restart my game every hour or two on a weekend when im not busy because the game gets laggy when im playing arena and loading in and out.

New World is mmo after all. And to be mmo it needs to have more and more mass content for very big groups of players. So I think you need to address lags and technical issues when 50-100+ players are fighting tigether.

Would be interested to find out what the underlying CPU architecture is that you use. For my company's hyper-real time applications, we're using a lot of AMD Milan-based EPYC CPUs. I'm sure you guys are actively migrating to more modern CPU architecture and improving multithreading offloading of tasks to reduce CPU load.

For the past few weeks, I and other people have had several selection problems with (E) like opening a door or certain elements. But the most frustrating thing is the doors. Not being able to enter or exit Kepri's room, or Scorpion's room because the (E) no longer appears on the doors.... I think it's the worst I've suffered in the game. Also like others we mentioned the stonecutter who does not validate the requested construction and having to find another LV5 city of this profession is a little annoying but less than the selection problems to open doors or chests sometimes. Otherwise with 4320 hours of games I think the game is really good :)

Nice video! Its good to hear you are working on optimization and will turn off broken things. And I am sorry if I am hard on the AGS team! I love New World. I'm extra hard on you just because you chose to work for you know who! The biggest bug I have right now is that I want to have new PvP experiences, but I cant seem to unlock the artifacts or afford gear from doing just PvP. I have fallen behind on gearscore because PvP rewards have been not very useful to someone who is already way past 200+ level on PvP track.

Issue list : 1 pop up every where , need a fonction to toogle off ui popup 2. Swap weapon and using spell entering in contradiction ex you swap to you ig and try to use ice tomb and instead you use a pillar of fire bcause its same raw but diff weapon 3 conect to other player connect spell 4 , double stager of some weapon due to the desync + stagger 5 . Dodge stamina can get gray enen you have stamina left some spell put you like pod ex hammer etc , keep its strong 👌
One technical issue i always notice is when running chest trains, Castrum is always super laggy compared to any other elite area.
I appreciate your open and frank discussion about the technical issues you are experiencing. Now I look forward to hearing about this tech rework and the upcoming PTR for same so you can explain how you intend to overcome these hurdles. As an aside please let me take a moment to explain to you that you are massively miscalculating two pain points that will severely hurt the overall player numbers for NW. 1. The economy is absolutely not in a good place. You had a problem with the 1% town owners being too rich and everyone else being too poor. You have now crashed the economy through excessive gold sink and now EVERYONE is broke and the 1% town owners are still just fine. Also with the economy crashing those 1%'ers now feel even more rich comparatively. NOTHING IN THE FACTION VENDOR SHOULD EVER COST CASH. THAT IS A TIME SINK TO RUN FACTION MISSIONS AND SHOULD NOT DOUBLE AS YOUR GOLD SINK. You could even choose to increase the cost in faction tokens for items but remove the coin cost. 2. NOBODY LIKES MAGNIFY. In the abstract, it's a great concept BUT you overdid it. The two viable ways of handling this would be to A.) allow people to ASSIGN points that are magnify to whatever stat they choose for that gearset or (much simpler for you to code) put in a token from faction vendor that says "converts magnify on this piece to X (where X is STR/DEX/CON/INT/FOC)" so that people can assign their stats as they see fit and even re-assign same with the expenditure of additional tokens should they so decide. The problem with the current system of magnify is that ALL ARTIFACTS and nearly if not ALL of the upgradable gypsum gear is magnify so people cant enjoy the BIS items without screwing their stat assignments. PLEASE FIX THESE ISSUES ASAP. I love your game and am sad to see this expansion opportunity to recapture the player population starting to sour. Thanks and best of luck on continued development.
A game dev that does a blog once talked about optimizing projectile instances in mmos. He said they would retain the instances so they aren't instantiating them but they would just queue them and update their data. So they aren't allocating and deallocating during gameplay. They are allocated and either used or not.
If you're not doing that; consider doing that.

Technical Issues:
-Being kicked out of specific TPs for no reason
-Being back hit by mobs/bosses
-Enemy name plates not showing
-Gen last boss balls not protecting us from explosions
-NPCs shrugging off reap inconsistently
-Being killed/finished whilst you're downed by specific NPC abilities
-Someone is desynced from the dungeon and cannot heal/dps the boss fights
I don’t know if it’s a technical issue or just poor eyesight, but when I’m in OPR and I swing at someone that looks close enough to hit it doesn’t hit. I have to practically be inside the other person in order to connect on a hit.

In the city of Brimstone, there is a water texture under the floor textures throughout the entire area, it heavily loads the video card, and also in the city of Winsword in the middle of the city, the water kills people and they drown near the fountain, remove all the water from the cities that is hidden under the textures.
We need One world system with channels
When the expansion came I lost everything in my old first light storage after it changed to last light. I was emailing back and forth with the Amazon team and never got it back. 2 years worth of items.
Does the fact that there is no locked classes (we can swap into any weapon at anytime) make it more taxing on the system? Honestly that is my favorite feature of the game but I have always wondered if it was harder to manage overall. Thanks for such a great game team! Zone race's are some of the most fun i've had in the game as of yet. I wish that the zone races could happen anywhere at anytime. Make the wars open to anyone in the zone instead of being a solo event. How much fun would it be to sit there and fend off players funneled through 2 or 3 gates instead of through 5. Stronger siege weapons to fend people off. Open world sandbox pvp would solve a lot of the lack of end game content players experience currently. It might buy the team some time to create more raids and fun world events. Great to see the changes, i'm looking forward to more!
I'd actually say open world sandbox pvp isn't the way to go per say. Instead I'd still continue with races and forts for open world and add more instanced versions of pvp with leaderboard ties. Also completely separate pvp from PVE in format of item functionality and obtainability. Don't force PVP one PVE and vice versa. Allow all PVE items in PVP, for being able to initially start to PVP but have rewards from PVP content geared directly to PVP without any ties to PVE benefits. For instance, Serenity is a very sought after PVE weapon forced to PVP to obtain it due to its properties. This is a mistake. Change Serenity to have PVP based functions only as well as all other PVP track artifacts. This will also assist in balancing between the two areas of gameplay as it will dynamically make each mode separate. This won't affect things such as open world gathering while flagged either, as there is a separate buff given while in PVP flagged state to account for increased risk. At that point, the only change would be as you are in a PVP state, all functions of the gear would also function vs environment... IE pvp only tagged perks would function vs AI NPC like any world mob, allowing you to still benefit from said pvp perks while you remain in that flagged state. This would offset any negative loss you'd get from using pvp centric gear in open world only when flagged. It would not offset while wearing same said gear and not flagged for PVP. in lieu of that proposed change I'd say having 4 starting gear sets is a min, 1 set starting out, 1 from leveling and 2 from questing, then additional optional one available for purchase from the store. While I wouldn't want to remove ability to collect money for further development from AGS I'd wager this small change to add playability to the game and be a generally well accepted change and thus increase overall sales upfront and future store purchases.
On the aspect of PVP I'd also do the following:
1) Change 3V3 into 3 selectable brackets to allow for easier time during off peak hours. 3v3, 2v2 and 1v1 possibly even 3v3v3 faction based, to allow for separate leaderboards for even faction based things.
2) Keep OPR but add another mode for Capture the flag as well as new functionality.
3) Add a 20v20 base capture mode with two bases one per team, with like 4 node capture points each giving a buff of some type. this would give you objectives to capture and maintain while also pushing to capture the oppositions base. With each action inside given match earning overall points per player and per team. Points would allow for being able to appoint a victor after a set time limit. With invent of cross realm group finder this would be a really nice system to increase available PVP content without the countless times of hurry up and wait I've seen, and me being a non-pvp centered player.
I really do want PVP to have good content, but not at the expense of PVE. They should both be their own and while still maintaining a small crossover is fine, not requirements. Isn't fair to either side.
I get "Lag Detected" and "Port Disabled" from time to time. cycling to desktop usually corrects both.
artifacts not active when qued into instance have to take off and reequip to make it active
Constantly disconnecting when fast traveling. Lately i am walking on air with no way of getting down without restarting the game. Game will dc randomly when at 2560x1440.

Idk if it can be classified as a technical question, but I do wonder if AGS have talked about whether NW should stick around after LOTR releases, or is it purely a learning experience for the developers, building systems for LOTR?
On a quick note, please try and optimise more AMD graphic cards. There is a lot of stutter and very often Driver Timeouts and its very frustrating. I know you guys are trying at the moment to improve the game but try and optimise it performance wise as well. Keep it up, u guys are doing well. Just Keep the momentum with season 3, work on performance and optimisation and i think you will be on the right path.
So basically the game is played on the server side. If the game was moved to the client side where the client informs the server what my intention is, we wouldn't suffer as much from the ping. If you play with high ping, you will notice your whole character is lagging when farming ore or other materials. If this was done on the client side, wouldn't it also allow the server for less cpu usage?
Long respawn timers in war. Sometimes these timers can take approximately 30+ seconds followed by loading screen that takes awhile to clear costing valuable time.
The Spark of Mjölnir artifact hasn't dropped for me until today I would like to know if this is normal
I paid for Season 3 plus the 20 additional season levels and by the time it was fixed, I was already done with the 100 levels so I basically threw money out the window paying for those extra season levels.
Influence races…best pvp right now on any game I’ll continue to say it untill it isnt. GREAT JOB BEEN HAVING A BLAST

Technical issue that i usually encounter is, that I'm hitting someone and nothing happens.. no health going down, nothing, while I'm dying:).
Why Brinstone Sands are more heavy to run than the rest of the map?
I love this game and im a new player. i love that answer of world bosses. when i was doing the winter warrior thing sometimes there was so many people that the best texture couldnt load for him and it felt super laggy. there was at least 200 people so i dont blame the game cause the day before it was hard to get enough people doing a rotations for x yeti lol. Keep up the content and communication this game is great.
We need fun pvp content 5x5 and 10x10 Battlegrounds, also ranked is a must, to have something to strive, with cool titles and transmogs!
But most important cheaper to change gear not only gold wise but dark matter is to high. You get one build and if you want to try out other builds the grind for great gear/builds/weapon combos it is 50h + per build because of the black matter.. so you just stick with one build until you are bored and leave the game.
Not combat related bugs I've experienced in the game. But certainly impactful bugs. Stone cutting table and arcana table expansion crafts ONLY are bugged in certain settlements. They seem to always fail to craft after attempting to load the craft screen. I have to teleport to a different settlement that is not bugged to make regen serum or stonecut some voidstone or prismatic blocks. 2nd bug i would like to mention is the priest at the end of great cleave elite zone will not spawn in anymore on the world. This particular boss is the only way to get one of the weaponsmith expertise gear set pieces. I play on a low end system, with a slow internet speed 10d 5 up. So I like to play on Low to Med servers. When AGS put us all in ElDorado the game gets slow and buggy so you can not even run ECR's so players leave until the player numbers drop.
Displaying the health bar of enemies within a radius, you need to make an option that will allow you to limit the distance from which red icons are displayed, so as not to confuse them with players who are much further away. When playing as an archer or a musket, your targets merge into a common mess while someone has no health bars at all apparently it’s very difficult for you to choose a target that runs away from you with low health and hides behind other health bars, I want to see unkilled players with yellow stripes so that it would be convenient to choose targets. And so I want to say that the problem with identifying a target is very acute for ranged players. The archer's ability Hail of Arrows does not give me an idea of whether opponents will be hit by this skill because there is no highlighting, for example, in blue players who are in the area where I want to use the skill. Due to such problems of interaction on the battlefield, 90% of skills do not reach the target because your experience of aiming at the target is very difficult in terms of the interface.
I rly love the combatsystem its unique and plx improove and boost it further.
An also boost PvP-Content i think its not that hard to create instead an new Expedition, 1-2 Arenas and 1 OPR-Map
Even a New mode for OPR would be nice.

They seem really proud of themselves and probably are quite intelligent. I think it’s important to take a step back and just look at ultimately are the players getting a good product and experience. The player density is limited, the influence race teleportation is unplayable for some, and overall technical bugs are extremely common and take an eternity to fix. It feels like their strength is also the game’s largest downside. It’s clashing with the needs of an MMORPG. Sure it’s better than tab targeting, but only if it works and so far it seems they are struggling to pull it off.
Is this why we only have 3 abilities for weapons only instead of expanding on 4 or more abilities like other MMO's? I was always curious why we only had 3 abilities to use only for an MMO. How can New World Improve to the point where it can feel like a proper combat MMO without the surrounding issues New World Techs mentioned?

Can you guys do something to get the size of the game back down? I've been playing the game for the last 6 months with no issue but after this last update I have deleted everything possible on my main drive to make room, and I just can't play the game now. I have 105gb of free space on a 250gb drive and the game just stops downloading at 50% because there isn't enough head room.

Fix dodge/roll animations, I have several clips of me getting hit by melee attack while in mid-roll animation (this mostly happen when Im slowed from something, but when watching my clips my dodge animation is far from over and I still get hit), this is from every weapon attacking me but a few weapons stand out and does this alot more: Great Sword (n1 by far), Spear, SnS and Rapier. And theres also some kind of bug with Gravity Well, it happens very frequently that I dodge the animation and the Gravity Well lands behind me (Im like 2 meters from its animiation when my roll ends) and I get "sucked" back into it, this also happens sometimes when I double roll, im using light equip load, multiple Gravity Wells as well as multiple Maelstroms also makes some weird things when they happen...
One more thing, the delay from walking to sprinting is sometimes delayd for some reason, its so clunky and feels very bad.

Most of the problems you have on server side would not happen if you guys instantiated the game, instead of having 30 servers just have a couple and then use different channels. Also events, races, wars or anything that cumulates lots of players you can run on special channels and distribute the players as you need. It's way easier and faster to auto scale horizontally (more channels on demand) than vertically (more resources on demand). The only bad thing about this that I see are loading screens may break a bit the open world experience, but if you make players aware of an event ( a counter or a portal) they will be fine with a small loading screen if the performance improves overall.
With the team stepping back and focusing more on optimisation, are you afraid that the current player base numbers will hit all time lows to a point where servers are not populated enough to maintain the current in game systems?
Their customer service is terrible. I lost all my prime unlocks with the last patch, So when I made a new character I had nothing in my prime unlocks. after emailing them they told me to find some file which as a non tech savvy person, had no clue how to find, they sent a link and I still could not get what they wanted, so I emailed that I could still not find it. gave them all the names of the stuff I couldn't find as they asked, Server details and character name, got an automated reply and that was 6 days ago. I have started to really love New World, but have now had second thoughts if this is what I have to contend with when I have an issue. obviously I know this is a Prime problem, but it does not fill me with confidence

Why don't you use unit tests so when refactor things like losing Season pass changes. You can mock those dependency systems to know you don't lose changes in your refactoring. Your data collection on what the game is doing. Do you run system automated testing to test different scenarios? I understand data and latency is always hard to control, but you can put conditions to be able to diagnosis these errors. Again not as easy as I'm writing, but putting better QA environments. As far as my technical problems, I often fall through the world, extreme lag in odd areas like dungeons. I also have been noticing that when i mount my horse, I drag along the ground (no running animations) for 3-4 seconds.

Not trying to be rude but I don’t have this problem with elder scrolls and there is just as much if not more going on. This needs to be optimized better for smoother combat. The rubber banding is tough even sometimes causing a loss because of it.
Clearly they did not have a red button for dye purchases back when dyes were bugged and didnt work but got consumed. Was all over their discord. Also they refused to refund players their dyes which they payed for

I actually wonder who's going to play the game still by the time these updates are implemented. To be honest, is really sad to see the same bugs from the beginning still in the game. With every "improvement update" there 's bunch of new bugs into the game, I only saw that many bugs in ARK survival. The truth is that is really hard for you right now to stay relevant and keep up with the competition when you started on the wrong foot. The game is great right now, almost amazing(it will be soon), but the players are gone and the game will reach the actual player base (12k players daily) in the next three months which in my opinion is a dead game. Even if it is a little bit too late, good job dev team!

Sounds like making muskets proj based puts more strain on the server but it doesn’t matter cause you’ve basically killed them so no one uses them so no strain on the server
Very cool video. I found this super interesting. These guys are rockstars. All their hard work pays off and as a daily player i feel it ever time i log into the game. Whatever these guys are getting paid, double it.
let me give you some advice as a player who has played since the first release until now.
1. stop speeding up progress, like easy 700 gs equipment, you speed up this, the players also speed up to leavin the game. or if u want to speed up progress, the updates for bigger content should appear more fast. like the new maps, etc. you dont have to think about RMT they hard to evade, the rich want to spend gold to become a god, and the poor want money to live, but you did great job not applying enchantment feature in the game, it is one of the way to makes RMT not growing up, BUT for next season maybe you can add a perfect perk which cannot earn by random perk crafting chance, drops from monsters, loot from chest, and from aptitude box, so its pure random perk which only get from dropped weapon or armor, and make the perk appear 0,0000001% make it BOE and BOP.
2. if Newworld team is focused in pvp, make new content in modes, and do not forget to create a lot of maps for opr and 3v3, you only have 1 for opr and 2 for 3v3.
3. every updates always appears new bug. hire more employees, if you want to save budget, you can hire employees from India, and southeast Asia people.
4. Europe is the healthiest region, heard them more, they have respect to Newworld.

I have over 2500h played and technical issues is the least "problematic" part of the game for me. I know it might sound weird but for me on day to day basis things that piss me the most are the little things - only 2 out of 3 pvp missions show up when you walk to the faction guy in SH or GC, you open storage shed and want to check how much remaining capacity you have in other storages but it will not load properly and will only show you the currently opened storage capacity, you open friends list "O" and your online friends show up RANDOMLY in the list of people you have in your friends list, not from online to offline, so you have 5 offline players first then first online person, another 10 offline and another one online... finding someone who actually is online means scrolling over the whole list first and seeing if you can find green dot next to their name, again, broken since launch of the game, Arena reward table after the game is over, not showing names or not the table does not show at all after the game finishes... stuff like that, stuff that you have to actually deal with every-single-day if you are very active... I do understand it takes human resources to spend time on fixing stuff, but for example the storage is bugged like this for at this point years, probably since launch, same with friends list, same with arena...
I do appreciate the changes that over time you do to the game, but I believe the game has so much more potential if you just had more people working on it. Hopefully one day. Good luck.
And sorry but I just do not believe that dev team is actually playing the game, if they do they may play like an hour a week or something, I do not believe it is any more. If some people from your team did actually actively play the game, they would know hell of a lot more about what are the things that are broken and bug-fix-priority-list could be made based off of those.

Great combat and world but very constrain in terms of size and content...I want to feel the scope of things and feel of dread when i get lost and encounter something i didn't even anticipate.
When theres games like Throne and Liberty (which is now under amazon games) exist with zero loading screens and vast draw distances and massive amounts of players, you really have to shift focus and get the lagging things undercontrol. We appreciate the explanations on how things work but were consumers and youre designers. Its not our job to care, simply to consume. Please understand our side which is that the lagging and restrictions to the amount of people in areas hampers the playing experience significantly and has since even before launch in alpha. You have to start working on this at some point.
