The Japanese version is cool but I did not like how they called impact man “Pile Man” and how they called bounce man as “rubber man” it feels less powerful. Also all the letters were capitalized which killed the graphics. I also think that block man’s voice in the English version is better. Mega Man and Auto did have a better Japanese actor so in some ways it’s better. I mean seriously, why would Mega Man sound like a teen and not a child?
It's pretty obvious why they changed the robot masters' names in the US. I'll space it out a little since it's not entirely safe for work (kids, don't read on). I do have to say, even if those reasons to change the names didn't exist, I still easily prefer them over the Japanese names. "Pile" is another word for hemorrhoids, which are painful bumps that can form around and in the anus. Meanwhile, "rubber" is slang for condoms. Yikes.
Good to know that this time they rebuild the Robot Masters and had that beatiful picture in the end. This game may not be perfect (and i really missed Bass or Proto Man), but this is definitely one of my favorite Mega Man games
Now that I’ve got the chance to listen to this dub, it isn’t all that bad. Ngl, I liked the English dub quite a lot, but I kinda prefer a couple of the Japanese voices. Also, I find it quite interesting that Light and Auto as well as Rush and Torch Man share VA’s in this dub, that’s pretty impressive.
